I absolutely love watching this kind of footage, when you were filming the guys trying to break up that hill! Thats one of my favourite things to do is hammer at a hill like that over and over trying to get up!! Man, Those Turbos are sure Thirsty for go-go juice aren’t they? Was your Oil tank Full at the beginning of the day??
Capt. Freeride, hope this finds you well. I'm doing the night shift and re-watching this season. I had to smile at the 15:10 mark where you showed the elevation of 8530'. That's only 150 feet higher than my house here in Colorado. The nice part of that is that only 10 miles of trail from my front door (which i do have the luxury of riding from my driveway) , I am able to hit 11,769'. It makes it really nice for the days off after a good dump (snow) to be the first one up the hill with all that virgin pow. Again, thanks for your time and effort on these videos. It makes the summer a little more bearable.
How much do you climb vs tree ride and how is your typical snow? Loose sugar snow and wide open spaces the 165 makes sense. Tight trees with heavy snow and great traction the shorter the funner.
I like your videos bro. But it seems like you just waltzed into the alpine without checking the snow. Maybe you did without filming it, but charging the alpine without knowing the snow can have consequences, especially with a big group. I'm not trying to be an avy nazi, I just like your content and have a lot of alpine sledding experience. Stay safe.
No I totally agree. While I didn’t dig a pit I’m constantly watching for signs and testing it on small slopes with my sled. I need to get my ast 2 though
@@MuskokaFreerider I can see that from some of your other videos, making comments about the snow pack and such. Good on ya, people like yourself can change the culture of sledding and avy awareness.
Man, that first hill/creek area looked amazing would've loved riding there! We've finally gotten enough snow to start rippin for real here in Sweden so this video made me itchin for some throttle action!
Hey man, I know you're busy making these great vids but I was wondering what settings you use on the gopro? Things like frames per second, white balance, video quality and lens width? If you have time to lmk, thanks
Lovin your videos Matt! I'm glad you didn't hurt yourself bad the other day! You're getting better at editing and adding more details into everyday, not that I even have a Go Pro yet. It's alot of work to do I'm sure but gets quicker the more you do it right? Cheers bud, keep up the great work have fun and I'll stay tuned!
I hope your UA-cam channel is a success. These video are so enjoyable for those who are passionate about mountain riding. Keep it up. Cheers from Colorado.
What a great video is to see your dad out there having fun I bought an expert this year like the one you had last year never see that kind of snow in the prairies LOL good job on the videos glad you’re OK stay safe

The valleys are deep around Revelstoke. Only 1500 feet above sea level. Some mountains exceed 10,000 feet. Makes 8500 feet vertical. Monashee and Selkirk ranges of the Columbia River Mountains, which is a neighboring twin range of the Rockies.

Love the riding - honestly. But 2 things, riding with a likely concussion is hugely irresponsible; and riding in BC during Ontario COVID lockdown is hugely irresponsible, BC is hammered by COVID and you're not allowed to come back to Ontario since we're hammered by COVID; so ya, love the riding, but #HugelyIrresponsible
That was an epic ride ! It’s cool seeing Muskoka senior riding with you. The terrain you guys are in is so awesome !
This one was one of my favoritt videos so far. It felt like you guys hat a mission and not Just playing aruond.
agreed
So hard to keep a big group together hey. Still looks like another awsome ride. Have you had a chance to try your dads 165?
It can be! It wasn’t hard to keep them together but it was hard to get everyone up the hill haha I rode it today, man does it work!
@@MuskokaFreerider so do u like it better than the 154???
What happened to the Polaris suspension there at the beginning? I’ve seen that happen before but can’t remember what fixed it haha

You should hop on the 165 turbo and give us your thoughts. I’m torn between the 154 or 165. Currently on nontubro 165
