You had me tearing up at the end! You are my favorite infertility story couple on UA-cam. I love all the positivity that you both bring to this long and busy process. I just had retrieval on Friday with 25 follicles retrieved, 19 fertilized and am waiting for which ones become blastocysts. Then we do pgs testing so it will be until next month that we transfer. I hope that I have a similar experience to yours. Good to know about acupuncture too. Thank you for sharing your beautiful story, it has really helped me in this journey. :)

I started my first IVF two days ago. I am on day three of the shots, and I am very nervous but also exited! I don't smoke or drink, but I have cleaned up my eating, getting enough sleep and just trying not to stress!

Perhaps you should freeze your eggs. Speak to a fertility specialist.
Doing a transfer mid June. Did retrieval in May. We ended up with 14 eggs retrieved. 7 fertilized and all 7 made it through. We are terrified we could end up with 7 kids and possibly more if any of them are twins. But so blessed and so happy with the family we potentially have.

I am going to be starting my first IVF cycle next month. I am very excited but super nervous. I had 6 failed IUIs and the doctors aren’t sure why they didn’t work, because they haven’t found anything wrong. Thank you so much for these helpful tips!! I know this will be worth it ❤️

@@positivevibes2537 hi! So our embryo transfer failed but 3 months after my miscarriage I became pregnant naturally! I am 9.5 weeks right now! I go back for another ultrasound next week I am praying things are ok. So far it has been good. I’m in shock we got pregnant naturally after 11 years!!!!

Happy I got to see this. Was looking for some inspiration. My first transfer I tested pregnant and one week later they told me it wasn’t viable any longer. I felt/feel like such a failure and really low. To my surprise I found out they transferred the wrong gender embryo! We have a son so we were trying for a girl. We only had 7 eggs and 3 viable embryos. Two males one female. I’m about to start another transfer…. And am terrified of losing this one. We are debating to transfer two this time instead of just one…. Why did you guys transfer more than one? Glad you told me about the neupogen…. I am just trying to find the light in all this sadness. I think I went in a little confident because I’m young, healthy and have no fertility issues. Beautiful family you guys have… also is that a Aussie doodle??? We have two aussies ❤️

I love your positive outlook, and I will be praying for you everyday during your journey! I love that you have aussies! so fun! Yes, our dog is an Aussie doodle! He has been such an amazing pup! When we went into IVF for some reason I had it in my head that I only wanted to transfer 2 or more embryos. My doc said 2 was the most he would do so thats what we went for. We were grateful our doc was up for what we were wanting. I know everyone situation is different though, I would do what feels best for your and your fam. And yes ask the doc about neupogen, I am a big fan on it!

No evidence that acupuncture has any impact but you should do what you feel helps you. Fitness, weight management and stopping smoking important.

Hi Brenda, thanks so much! I started acupuncture a little after I stared birth control and then did it till I was about 6 weeks pregnant.
Im down in st george and i wish there was good affordable fertility acupuncturist here. I had gone to one but he didnt really work on fertility.

Thanks so much Jenny! With the retrieval and transfer I tried to take it easy for about 3 days each time (that is what my clinic recommended, but said if needed to go back to work that was ok.) I just tried to eat clean (lots of veggies and fruit) and relax as much as I could and played lots of Nintendo and read!

@@jennyuzhca5501 I felt good enough to go for walks, but just tried to take it easy and relax so mostly stayed indoors.
After how many cycles they did embryo transfer?
I mean the days it took between egg retrieval and embryo transfer
since we did a fresh transfer it was about 5 days after the egg retrieval that we implanted the embryos. Depending on the situation, embryo status, etc. it could be different.

I did! I think it was about 13 weeks into pregnancy I stopped acupuncture.
She's only 31🙈🙈🙈🙈🙈😳 I'm way older. Of course she's successful!
Age is less of a factor if using donor eggs. Women in their 50s can get pregnant using donor eggs, even after menopause.
Wondering how your doc felt about placing more than one embryo? Was the decision from your end or did they suggest it?
Our doctor was up for it but the decision was ours for sure! We actually wanted to put in 3 embryos but our doctor said 2 is the most he would do! :)
I understand you made this video with the best of your intentions, but please understand that by sharing this you make women/couples feel directly responsible for their IVF failures. There’s a very small percentage of the outcome you can control as a patient (very, very small) everything else is science. In my pov, these “1st time IVF success tips” make women like me feel like we are doing something wrong.
Hi, thanks so much for sharing your view with us. I am sorry if this video came off that way to you. That was not our intentions. We shared our entire IVF journey online, the ups, downs, in between and we found these 4 things are what helped us during the process. We mentioned in the video that these are things that helped us during the process, but might not be for everyone. Just so you know, you are not doing anything wrong, you are doing great! Hang in there and we will be praying for you!
I agree with you. These lovely people are well intentioned though. Apart from any actual fertility problems there is almost nothing you can do to improve your pregnancy chances except losing weight - if very overweight - and stopping smoking. I always hear ‘relax, relax’ but there is no evidence that stress has an impact, babies are made during wars and after other traumatic experiences. The fact is ivf is very stressful, so I think you have to accept that and be kind to yourself. If under 35 and knowing you want to get pregnant later I would freeze your eggs. Or even if older, freeze your eggs now. All the best.

How did it go ?
My husband and I went to see my fertility doctor about IVF but sad to say she said I have no crystal ball 🔮 to answer your question. if the first retrieval will guarantee me to be pregnant. After all the tests I have been through, and everything was perfectly ok 👍🏼 same as my husband’s tests. So it means we will spend a lot of money by trying and trying even do both sides know that I can be pregnant 🤰?! We were absolutely confused with all the meetings and my doctor’s explanations. Now I guess we’re just gonna try the normal way to get pregnant. Because we can’t get any assurance from this doctor. Lack of support and maybe she will lemme try 3 times for IVF 💸 so it seems like a gamble, no guarantee at all. So it’s useless! 🤷🏻♀️🤦🏻♀️
I am sorry, that is frustrating and hard to navigate. Sadly that is the fertility world right now. We didn't have any guarantee's either going into IVF but we did have a higher chance of success and to us that was worth the chance. Maybe interview a few doctors and see what they recommend? Also maybe see to if the clinic offers a discounted rate if it doesn't work for doing the process again.

What infertility issues did you or your husband have issues with? I have a mild case of endometriosis and some Hashimoto’s disease and my husbands morphology is really low. We start the IVF this upcoming month and I’m really nervous.

Today is 6dpt (six days past ivf transfer) and I am having yeast infection already and my gynecologist said I shouldn’t do anything and be hopeful. Should I be worried about anything? Note: still taking virginal progesterone
Hi, I am so sorry about the infection, that is not fun. Congrats on the embryo transfer though, that is exciting! Hang in there! I would go with your doctor and not worry about it if you can. I know that is a lot easier said than done but I will be praying for you and your embryo and infection to hopefully get better soon!

Hi once again. The yeast infection is gone like no virginal soreness, no itching but a lil bit of discharge, but at the same time am a bit worried that the sore and increased boobs I had has kind of lessen down but still bigger than normal, I was supposed to see my period yesterday and today nothing… fingers crossed

Hello! How many embryos do they transfer?
Hi depends on the patient and doctor. I have heard most docs these days will only transfer one embryo at a time but some will do more. We transferred 2 embryos.
My understanding is it depends on the women’s age. In the U.K. if you are using your own fresh eggs in your 40s they may recommend transferring two embryos. Usually only one is transferred. If you are trying for twins you can request two are transferred, but it should be understood that multiple births do carry a higher risk to the mother and the babies. Best to do your own research and discuss with your fertility specialist.
