Supposedly "original gangster”, can be seen as “old generation", personally viewed as “old-school”.🤓
I became an avid Korean music aka Kpop listener/lover since 1998. Korean and rap music were my coping mechanisms from the bullying I experienced in middle school through high school and my love for the genre has stuck by me ever since.
Unfortunately, I took a huge break from Korean music around 2015 when I was officially diagnosed with lupus nephritis and seizures; I was receiving and battling years of chemotherapy and dialysis along with taking 32 pills a day, so I had no mental/emotional/spiritual room to keep myself updated with the genre. Luckily, I'm in remission now! Doesn't mean that lupus and seizures are gone because I am still very capable of frequent flare-ups of I don't take care of myself, but I make sure to do so enough to manage and live as "normally" as possible.
When I made this UA-cam name, I was thinking from my graphic-design-major perspective of a brand that will not only describe what my content will be about but will also align with the times, and y’all know that “Kpop stans” have been a thang for awhile now so hence the cringe-worthy title, OG KPOP STAN. (My love for Eminem is also relevant.😂) ALSO! Just to be SUPER clear- me calling myself an "OG kpop stan" does NOT mean that anyone who's listened to kpop after me is inferior or less-than. A kpop lifestyle is a kpop lifestyle regardless of time. Please don’t get that sh*t twisted.😛

Tzuyu's helicopter dance, dates back to Sixteen, it's one of her iconic moves where they need to introduce themselves, the lyrics on her part says "My name is Tzuyu", and it goes well with her iconic helicopter dance
Heartshaker was my first Twice song. How this peppy little number managed to hook a 39yr old rock fan i dont know, but it sent me down a Kpop rabbit hole. :)
This song is iconic especially since every Once in the world hears this word 이상하게 (isanghage) as 'Is Sana gay?' Once you've heard it that way you can never unhear it.

They have this irresistible aura about them that people from all over the world can fall for them but ofc for that to happen they have to be more open towards what TWICE brings to the table
So many people who listened to way other genres like even ROCK, HARD METAL, BOLLYWOOD etc. have fallen for TWICE
Also they have the most unique fanbase considering there are people from all age groups and even gender wise they have pretty equal male to female fanbase who find comfort, happiness, energy etc from TWICE'S music and even the group as a whole
Their music is like an hot spring for example to ONCES and even some NON ONCES alike
As in easy to listen to, easy to enjoy and relax with
That's what TWICE musicality is all about
Also their choreo is equally important in that aspect because they are able connect to both dancers like you and even non dancers
Their music & choreo gets so much stuck in your mind that you randomly end up murmuring their song or end up doing their choreo at some place
You can't end up being the NGG of KOREA just like that with just one comeback as TWICE demonstrated
They have this special connection which makes people believe in them and their teamwork especially
Regardless of how JYPE operates for them from onwards, they will forever be remembered as the GOLD STANDARDS for what a KPOP GG can achieve even in later GENERATIONS

I feel like it's such an underrated TWICE song when it's a really warm song that talk about TWICE talking about each other and their fans, I for one cried while looking at the lyrics and the whole mood.

About the choreography, JYP always tries to make an easy to follow dance and they, most of the time, incorpore the lyrics to the dance.
I actually know every Twice's point choreography since debut until the latest. And everytime they comeback it gets harder and harder😂😂😂 as far as i know, Twice suits any concepys they do. They are very versatile. Thanks Tina for giving us good contents...
I have a theory.... it was Jeongyeon's reaction to Sana's hug at 3:54 that sealed their fates to be in the Ghost segment for the "What Is Love" MV. 😂😂

This is one of my favourite TWICE songs 🥺 It's filled with such pure and wholesome joy, and while the dance isn't their most complex choreo it's so fun and sweet! 🥰
When you get through all their songs to Like Ooh-Ahh, you'll see that I Can't Stop Me has an element from almost every song, if not all of them. ICSM is kind of like their Easter egg song since it's their fifth anniversary album. Also take a look at Nayeon's expression when Sana does the turn in the chorus.
Twice have always been vocal about their purpose, and that is to make people happy through their music and dancing. After so many years one thing has never changed about twice. That is they always dedicate their song to their FANS & PEOPLE and hope that they find Comfort, Healing & happiness through their Music. ☺️🤍

you didn't notice that there was 18 of them at the end and not 9 😭😭 the song is about decision making on if you should make a move or not to a person. the concept is them having 2 different outfits one are the colorful ones representing that you should make a move and the other are white outfits representing that you shouldn't make a move and at the end they're all together

Heart Shaker is my favorite Twice song ever. It just truly makes my heart warm and joyful every time i listen to it
I'm with you, I listened to this for the first time after going through their more recent catalog of songs, which have a mellower/sexier type of vibe to them. Freakin' love Fancy, Feel Special, I Can't Stop Me, and this song hits different in a really nice way. I totally agree that it sounds like something you'd hear in a romcom, it just gives you a "dawww"/homey type of vibe. I also simultaneously got like a vintage 1950's + "girl band" vibe with the clean guitar, the lyrics, the outfits and sets. Anyway, great song, great reaction!
Twice brings so much happiness to Onces. All their cute and cheerful songs really help me a lot throughout tough times.
Love your reactions Tina. Really appreciate that you are showering love on Twice because some people belittle them for their cute concepts without understanding that there is a lot going on. In recent years, I have wanted them to slide into girl crush concepts to shut up the haters but I have realized two things. One, the haters will never get why Twice succeeds in spite of them. Two, I really miss and love them doing cutesy stuff. With them growing into women, I understand the need to shift to something more appropriate for their ages. It is why they are artists and not just idols. Their music grows along with them. But some things remain the same no matter what. They pour a lot of themselves in their music, in their performances, in each other, and in their love for Onces. That is why they are up there in the pantheon of K-Pop legends.

I remember when I first started listening to Twice like half a year ago, and I got to this song, at first I was immediately turned off because bubblegum pop was not really my thing, but as I listened to the song, I couldn't help but fall in love with it. I think Twice just has a charm that bleeds through their songs to where they make you feel so happy and just want to keep listening.
Also I think this song has a deeper meaning where they represent being shy and afraid to confess your love for someone (white shirt with jeans) and being overconfident (colorful outfit) and at the end where both versions are there represents them finding a balance between both sides.

6:54 I seem to recall the hand-twirling was Tzuyu's signature move, which is why they do it specifically when she's saying "I'm Tzuyu"; she'd quite often do it if she was dancing without a planned choreo. She's presumably a lot better now, but at the time she didn't improvise very easily, so when she was put on the spot to dance, she'd resort through sheer muscle memory to either that, or whatever choreo they were doing at the time...
