It could be argued that Colton going 3 wide started that. He has a habit of jumping the gun pre-green call. Not every car has a broadcast camera so we saw those cars that do.
@@dionv7391 totally. I thought they had a new rule in place this year to prevent early jumps from back in the pack on starts/re-starts but maybe that rule didn’t apply to this non point race. Not sure, or race control just didn’t see it as afoul.
Eh, seems like a tight first corner grouping and people slowed quickly. Herta’s early jump and 3 wide move and then Grosjean going left gave the window for Dixon to adjust right, but then Grosjean moved right approaching the turn and Dixon could not do anything.
Tried to watch the race today but wasn't shown on my provider. Somehow practice and qualifying was showing but not the race. No wonder F1 is so much bigger.
Indycar should be ashamed of itself, running on a pathetic circuit like this in rich boy enclave. Don't you people know who your fans actually are? HINT: it's not people who fly off to Monaco on a whim.
Why wasn't this run before the regular season started instead of interrupting it? In fact why was it run at all? I've never seen such a stupid race format anywhere in my life! A twenty lap race with a ten minute break half way? Even endurance races don't have that? I won't even bother watching this next year, as if Indycar cares.
@@michelestone3194When I look at the view from Power's car Grosjean is very close to the car in front, he then moves to the left, where there is now space in front yes but you have to brake earlier the more you're on the inside. Unless you're trying to dive bomb, which you obviously don't do turn 1 lap 1. Either way, the car behind has the responsibility to not hit the car in front. Trying to blame Grosjean for this is absurd.

Gross Jeans just cant drive. Not much Dixon could do with Herta on him like that and gross jeans parking it before the corner with a huge gap in front and trying to block Dixon on the right side into 1.
Grosjean is a mess. He's always been a mess, and he'll always be a mess. I find it laughable Diffy prefaces every mention of his name with "F1 Star". He wasn't an F1 star. This "race" was a joke. The commentary team is a joke. And most sadly, IndyCar is becoming a joke. Which is really too bad. There is some great racing with some great drivers. But the way they hype it, cover it, and run the series is going to continue to hurt them, all at a time when they could be growing into new markets. It's no wonder most of the world doesn't take it seriously.
"all angles" but not from the two cars starting the crash?
It could be argued that Colton going 3 wide started that. He has a habit of jumping the gun pre-green call. Not every car has a broadcast camera so we saw those cars that do.
@@lukeandor8130 they need to start giving penalties for that herta jumped it even worse in laguna seca last year

Wow Dixon ran right into the back of Grosjean.
After the amount of times Lettucehead has binned it on his own and took out others, he had this coming.
@@steveo_80I bet you said the same thing about Verstappen when Hamilton took him out at Silverstone 2021

Grosjean is drawn to insane accidents like a moth to a flame
i see what you did there 😂
Good video. Thanks.
the one that started it all was the mclaren looking one. the orange and blue
Even the replay production I’d horrid!
I love watching professionals drive like iRacing newbs
Don't do this format of racing again, please
Oh they will no doubt because all they care about is money and not real fans.
Why is this a non-points race?
Its a gimmick like nascar does
Because It's a special exhibition race event (The $1m Challenge) hosted by The Thermal Club.
Because it's in a gated community with a hard cap of 2000 spectators.
I appreciate the "all angles" video. Hope it's a new content thing on this channel!
Agreed! Perhaps it's an idea from so.e of the new social media folks.
BRING BACK TEXAS
Dixon fit him

It was on Network TV and also streaming on Peacock. Pretty available!

by far one of the most boring races i've ever seen. IndyCar, please do better than this. Add more road courses!

Total joke and emblematic of what indycar has become. I'm done with it.
Maybe Bill Power would punch Grosjean in his face if he crashed into him ?
utter boring race btw
That guy is the biggest douche in all of motor sports
Always Romain Crashjean...... Grosjean will be always Grosjean, just a big mouth.
Except this was completely out of his control mate. He has caused loads of crashes in his career but this was 0% his fault
Not his fault bro, learn about car race.
Colton Herta pushes him .... Stupid
If you can't keep up with the field and you don't get out of the way you become a yard sale
LOL what? They're down the inside about 20/30 meters to the apex of turn 1. Everybody is braking! Except Dixon
