For the Christians wondering if he took the Lords name in vain, he's not. At the start of the song when he's on the steps he throws his hands up and looks up says "Oh God" as a question "Why". Nate is very specific in what he does and says so what he's doing is letting us know right from the start the connotation in the use of "OH God". He is also letting us know that he is still on tract with not cursing in his music when he says "I don't really give a (WHAT)! "
To put God's name in vain actually means to say God did something He didn't do or telling Him to do something that He would never do. That's why the most common profanity with God in it is putting His name in vain since you are technically telling God to curse something. So, don't worry, "Oh God" or "OMG" isn't putting His name in vain.
Great reaction! This is to those who sold out to the music industry. He is calling out awards shows like the Grammy's who promoted Satan. If you don't do what the industry tells you they will throw you out. Saying Oh God is like him saying Lord look what the industry has done to some who sold their souls. The kid at the end is from his song "When I grow up."
Thanks for this.. i needed to understand the Oh God part, was confused as to why he would call out God with vanity.. he a TRUE Christian, more than the ones in the church themselves. Love Nate so much.

I just have to say I just found this channel today, and I absolutely am absolutely IN LOVE with this NF journey you guys are going on! I have been an enormous NF fan since the Mansion days, and seeing his growth and progress not only in his life journey through all of the mental struggles, and all of the difficult things he has dealt with, but also his growth in his faith even in the mainstream industry is absolutely incredible, and inspiring for Christians all around the world working in secular areas! I also think NF's has a special ability to speak to people on a profound level that a lot of artists can't, and I really see God working through him in so many ways, and I am SO excited to see how this album shifts towards that hope in life more and more! I think their is a lot of redemptive opportunity through his music just by tackling things like mental health, and fighting against the status que! Also as a seasoned fan, the amount of Easter Eggs in his vids, like the kid at the end being a call back to the kid from "When I Grow Up" makes me all squeamish inside lol! However, people figured out you can hear “save me” throughout the song, so it’s not blasphemy…he’s saying to God “Oh God, save me”
@@Servant2God Thanks, I just now heard it.
Sad that he uses God's name like everyone else does with no respect
I don't think that he is. Check out some of the other comments about this. But one commenter noticed that you can hear "save me" being sang in the background (especially at the stairs towards the end). Also it seems like a prayer for the industry or even for himself not to become like everyone else.
@@chrischaudoin3978 I have listened to the song a few times at the points that the comments have started and can't hear anything that makes me change my mind. So again I stick with my 1st comment and he has lost me. Have a blessed day
bro just don't pause🤦♂ you're ruining the flow
Bro just don’t click on the reaction if you don’t wanna hear what they have to say🤦♂️
i agree with the reply, and also there are copyright strikes if you leave the song going too long
Is he taking the Lord's name in vain though? Kinda outta character
I would say no because it seems like he’s saying Oh God look what the industry (this world) is doing when people are pretending to be something they’re not
i thought the same at first and then realized he’s saying it after things that are eye rollers. as a christian i often say “oh God help me” and it’s not just an exclamation but i think he’s basically like oh God look at all this
