From XP to Vista, MS has really made a huge leap. Vista is a milestone. The core had been rewritten and is still used today. The UI is revolutionary, the aero, the aurora wallpaper, the segoe font, the dreamscene, 3D application switching. The design is completely new and consistent. We still can see those icons of Vista appear in Windows 10. Imagine the effort and passion they putted into the development of Vista. It never happened again.
And then it god dogged by everyone just because it was too much ahead of it's time all that effort and passion, you can imagine how they all felt at Microsoft
Glad I saved the screensavers (Aurora and Energy) to use on all my windows operating systems since Vista....Vista was very underrated, after service packs it was fine

I still really like the Bubbles screensaver. It's nice and simple, and super nostalgic for me personally. Unfortunately, it's become somewhat crippled in modern versions of Windows because the background is now a solid colour instead of a screenshot.

I mean for its time it was awfully unstable. Can confirm from experience of builds 6000 and 6001.
