    I've been using the Soundcore 2 for over a year now and it's amazing. I work in a shop and it trumps most of my co workers "work" speakers.

    Thanks for the very objective and useful side-by-side comparison. I concur that the Boost wins out overall, perhaps with the bass up turned on when listening to certain genres, especially at low levels. The SoundCore sounds rather similar (so it seems) to the Bose Soundlink Mini 2 (which I own). Based on your valuable input, I'll now try to find a comparison of the Bose Mini 2 and the Anker SoundCore 2 Boost.

    I know this review is a couple of years old but it's still very useful to me. I liked your choice of music as they're very similar to what I listen to and all of the information and analysis was very helpful and appreciated. I'll probably get the Boost but I'll have to listen to the SoundCore 3 first to see which one suits me best. I'm looking for minimal size with the best sound.

    Thanks for video,I didn't know the soundcore 2 had a 3.5mm jack in,and found after learning here.that i searched and found that the soundcore 3 has no 3.5mm jack in.i needed something with long battery life,and that doesn't use much watts for out and about.so soundcore 2 was it. definitely want the 3.5mm jack in when video becomes out of sync with Bluetooth because I want option of"turning off" the Bluetooth signal.

    I owned the Pro for about 2 days before returning. It has so many design issues that you mentioned and more. The ones that I hated were the metal grill was a finger print magnet, you could see the glue that is behind that grill, the passive radiators are both on the back and this causes it to make farting and squeaking noises as the bass kicks as it vibrates on certain surfaces, it should have been mirrored passive rads like the Boost so the vibrations and weight nullify each other. The metal grill rattled with certain bass frequencies. I got the Boost and it is way better and suffers from none of the issues. I also prefer bassup off. They released a Pro 2 so I wonder if most of the issues got fixed. Also there is a Soundcore Motion B which looks like a better version of the SoundCore 2. But I'm satisfied with the Boost so no need for anything new yet!

    I had decided to buy SoundCore Boost, I liked the design and taste of the UP Boost button, and in Pro the function is already activated, which discouraged me to buy Pro was recent reports from users (Aliexpress) who bought and started give trouble, since malfunction after a few days and after a few months, not load after unloading, and even a case of having burned and almost catch fire.

    only soundcore pro has external tweeter speakers (left and right), so may has a briliant sound like special enstruments
    soundcore pro is 2x price if compare with soundcore 2 but no one has detected big diffirences, interesting!

    Talking about bass responses from Boost and Pro model, I was listening between Boost (bass button activated): 13.45 and Pro: 20.56 and seems like the Boost version deliver more bass power than the Pro version, maybe you can help me to choose the best, talking about bass. I thank you for you help in advance. Great great video, good analysis.

  • @robertj981
    @robertj981 6 років тому +3

    I have soundcore boost and I think it plays better than here. Maybe it's the mike or poor source. Here is no trebles and the sound is kind of lazy - not as dynamic as when I listen to mine. I observed that on the max volume sound tends to loose trebles and midrange is more louder. It's better to listen to with volume down a little than max. The music is not good for testing. You could have chosen more types of music and play shorter fragments.

      Good suggestions Robert. I'm playing 320 kbps mp3's using MortPlayer, and recording the sound with a RODE VideoMicro microphone. Which speaker(s) are you using to listen to this video?

    • @robertj981
      @robertj981 6 років тому +1

      Headphones Sennheiser HD650. I have video micro. It's average. I don't know MortPlayer. Maybe try out Poweramp. I tested several players and that one seems to be the best so far.

      Based on sound only, I think the Boost with the the Boost Button off sounds the best for most types of music. For music where you really want the bass, turn the bass button on, or opt for the SoundCore Pro.
