I love your reaction. Especially the little tear during the dance. It's good to see an experienced man with such a human gesture. It means that I'm allowed to do it too. I'm 32, and I locked my feelings away a long time ago. For 3 years I've been working hard to let them in again. Arcane and the 62 reaction videos have triggered a lot in me. Every now and then I'm allowed to shed a tear too. And it fills me with joy, because it proves that all is not lost for me.
When jayce was taking hammer from this statue in the end it was actually his body corpse but from this world. Yordles ( heimerdinger) cant die they "respawn" in their realm called "bandle city"
Yeah, when the Hextech obliterates someone it leaves ashes and clothes (like with Sky), you see the same effect but no ashes and clothes. Heimer got ported to someplace else (and possibly obliterated as well, but in a different way than Sky). If he died then he would be back at Bandle City awaiting a portal back to the "Human" Plane of existence.
even more mysteriously, this is the future if things played out the same (sans Ekko), meaning this hammer is the same one Jayce gets.. in this moment, meaning its a paradox and has no origin point, once the paradox is fully resolved, it disintegrates.
"God they could've been in love" oh that's just heartbreaking. love is too precious a thing not to cry when you realize it could've bloomed in a better universe.
The writers of Arcane love to insert symbolism and little tidbits in the show and this episode in particular, is no different. When Ekko and Powder are dancing together, it is shot in 4 frames per second. 4 seconds was the maximum time Ekko could go back with his Z-drive. The pendant Ekko leaves Powder is a blue rose. Although Powder is definitely associated with the color blue, a blue rose also symbolizes mystery, spiritual healing and longing, unfulfilled love.
17:47 Nooo he didn't missed it all. I think it's heavily implied that they're already in a relationship in this universe. Her lair has doodles of them, flowers with "i love you" s, Claggor asks if there's "trouble in paradise", and Ekko catches onto something because he asks if they can pretend like it's the first time, which only makes sense as a line if it is for him in this Ekko's body, but not for this universe's Powder and Ekko.
One of my favourite episodes because of 'what could have been', and yes, emotional! The music is perfectly placed every time in this show! An unexpected story within the final act, but I'm so glad we got it!
This was for sure my favourite episode of the season, the pacing was spot on. For me it also kind of redeems Jayce, who I hated after episode 6. It all kind of fell into place when I heard "send me back, I won't fail", since those were the words echoing right before he killed Viktor in the last episode, at least now you understand why he did it
AU Ekko and AU Powder are already in a relationship in this particular timeline. This was by far, my most favorite episode of season 2. It breaks the heart, but, beautifully so....
You're non-reaction to Benzo, Clagger and Milo all being alive makes me wonder if you remember them from S1? Benzo died to Silco's monster, Milo and Clagger died in the explosion. So yes, this is an alternative dimension or timeline where Jayce didn't interrupt their robbery of his lab and therefore, VI died because of it and everything changed. Jayce ends up in the timeline where the Arcane/Hextech destroyed the world and now he's determined to keep that from happening. He actually uses his hammer's parts to make the brace for his leg and then his 'new' corrupted hammer is from the dead Jayce of that world. FYI there's a TON of really cool easter eggs in this episode: from Isha's bunny ears on Powder's work bench, the dance scene filmed in 4 seconds which is Ekko's ult time in game, etc. Also, Heimer is a Yordle and Yordles are a creation of magic so that's why the invention literally blew him apart.
This is gonna get deep as this show is deep and can't be said with a simple phrase: Benzo died because he attacked Silco with a weapon in S1E3, Shimmer Deckard defended Silco. Silco only attacked the Enforcers, and apprehended/rescued Vander from a lifetime in Stillwater, as Silco had prior claim to justice upon Vander. Ekko prosecutes his entire war against Silco because he sees that death as being Silco's fault, when it was actually Vander's and Benzo's fault. Vander destroyed Silco's reputation after failing to kill him, Benzo believed Vander's rumor and further spread that Silco was a coward that fled the battle on the bridge. That is why Benzo felt he could chase Silco off with a Police Baton ("Silco? Go crawl back into whatever hole you crawled out of!" -Benzo immediately before dying in his attack upon Silco S1E3). Vander tried to stop Benzo at the last second as he knew Silco was never a coward, and he also knew that Silco was also smart enough to not expose himself without protection again. Vander NEVER underestimated Silco. That is why Silco tossed the "did you hear the rumor" phrase back at Vander in S1E3 at the Cannery. Vander had slandered Silco as a coward after he failed to kill him at the bridge battle. All that death and destruction was due to Vander's unhealthy rage at losing Felicia and Connol during the battle directed at Silco whom Vander blamed for their deaths, tho it was an enforcer who killed them. From the brief flashes in S2E5 it looks like Silco tossed a fire bomb that ignited an enforcer who fired a single shot while ablaze that got both of the parents before being dying. And we now know that Silco did all of this just so he could keep his word, even if it meant "digging through Bedrock with Blisters" (S2E5), keeping your word meant everything to Silco. All of the shimmer wretches seemed to have pilfered their mutagenic 1st gen shimmer from the Cannery warehouse at the end of S1E3 after Silco and his crew fled with their injured, this shimmer still needed later refinements by Singed to remove the mutagenic effects ("Our timetable has been moved up" -Silco S1E1 end scene, and "Will he survive?";"Long enough" - Exchange between Silco and Singed S1E2). Sevika was running on shimmer for years with no ill effects, and it was also refined into a very powerful medicine. Some of the chem barons also sold it in recreational form (the later version lacked the horrible mutation side-effect), but that was never Silco's intent, at least not for his city, but exporting got blocked in S1E4. Almost every user of shimmer post S1E4 was using it militarily or medically, or for powering prosthesis (Nose replacement, respiratory medication (what Viktor sorely needed), prosthetics, Shimmer Chem Tanks).
The saddest & best episode of Arcane. Breaks my heart every time...

and I think she figures this out, though its never stated, the fact she puts the pendant away means she knows this Ekko is from another world.
Fun fact
Heimerdinger is a yordle
Yordles are immortal
He will just spawn back in bandle city.
Episode 7 is one of the best animated shows ever put out ever.
Fun fact: ekko’s mask in the first season was an owl, owls are the only birds to see the color blue. (Powder/jinx’ hair)
In the reflexion is Jinx 1:20

If you want some kind of background about ekko and powder, take a look to the “Enemy” official video from season 1. Great reaction btw.
Best episode
