  • Shiv Tandav, also known as the Tandava dance, is a divine cosmic dance performed by Lord Shiva, the Hindu god of destruction and creation. This powerful dance symbolizes the cosmic cycles of creation, preservation, and destruction. It is believed that when Lord Shiva performs the Tandava, it unleashes immense energy that can destroy the universe to pave the way for its renewal. The rhythmic movements and gestures of the Tandava represent the five activities of Shiva: creation (Srishti), protection (Sthiti), destruction (Samhara), hiding (Tirobhava), and blessing (Anugraha). Devotees often recite the "Shiv Tandav Stotram," a hymn composed by the legendary sage Ravana, praising Lord Shiva's majestic form and divine attributes.
