- Last year, 2022, I tasted and reviewed all the wines in the Costco Advent Calendar and we also did a cheese pairing ~ back again for 2023 I've redesigned the tasting card and I am introducing my new tasting journal: Notes du Vin.

Can't wait. We really only bought the box again this year because of your reviews. Costco needs to give you a cut! lol Looking forward to the fun reviews. We tried to find the cheese that you had last year but we did not see that. We bought a chocolate advent calendar from a candy store to go along with it. Although, I know you don't do chocolate with sparkling wine. 🤐
I didn't see the cheese this year either so it isn't on the schedule - which is kinda too bad as the cheese was fun to try with the wine and it was fun to have all those random cheeses around for the holiday. I think there will be plenty of opportunities to try those chocolates with these wines.

Held off on buying the Costco wine calendar until I knew you were going to be doing your reviews. You make these dark Northwest winter nights enjoyable. Looking forward to it!

I did not even notice it was not holiday themed. 24 bottles that are sold this time of year is holiday themed by definition imo. lol Even at the Costco we went to they were with the holiday stuff.
Yeah - I think Costco is trying to over think this - it is still totally a holiday themed wine box.
I was honestly disappointed that Costco didn't do a holiday-themed advent wine calendar. I didn't wind up buying it but I'll watch along for sure!
I was surprised too. I'm still treating it like an advent calendar because it is in all but name. I'm not really sure why Costco decided to remove the obvious theme except that they must think that people don't buy it after December 1st and they are trying to change that?
Any cheese advent box sightings yet? Nothing at my Costco so far.
