Strasbourg to Legarde on the Canal de la Marne au Rhin ~ Traveling French Canals Ep. 14

When you leave Strasbourg the, just before lock 51, the first of many, you pass the European Parliament building. The thumbnail photo is taken in Saverne, the elevator is the St Louis boat lift, which is followed by two significant tunnels. After this you are in a long, 30+km stretch with no impediments. The town of Lagarde, where this video ends used to be the border between Germany and France when Alsace was occupied by Germany after the Franco-Prussian war.

@@SavvyNomadTV Yep, that was some! I'm still kinda looking. I'm here with the military and in August time's up. So we will travel around a while or if we find something we like than travel around on a houseboat for a year or so 👍
