This analysis would involve Historical Sales & Sales Projections. & @ 32:012 Minute - Slide 24 on Basic Approach to Demand Forecasting. The Point 4: on Understand and Identify Customer Segments, indicates using Customer Segments with its Levels of Aggregation in the Demand Forecasting step. Please clarify, the contrast between Slide 13 and Slide 24. Integrating the Customer into the "DATA ANALYSIS" is called out as too detailed. I understand the difference between Customer and Customer Segment. For example OSRAM might sell lights to Maruti and Ashok Leyland. So Demand Analysis should aggregate at segments like Passenger Cars and Commercial Vehicles rather than Individual Customer ID like Maruti or Ashok Leyland.
Hello friends, I have 2 questions: 1/ Why should we make a demand plan for the product family instead of each SKU?, what are the benefits?. 2/ How will product family be understood?. Thank you. Note: My company has 200 SKUs belonging to 3 brands.
