Doug, I'm not surprised to see you're sounding and playing as well today as the first night I caught you at the Upstairs in Virginia Beach in 1967. As a rocker at the time, I was blown away by the sounds you got out of your acoustic guitar with the bottleneck. I caught as many of your performances in the area (remember the Folk Ghetto in Norfolk) as I could. Those experiences changed my vision of what "authentic" blues could sound like; you were and still remain a master of the genre. I hope to catch you on tour one day.
