    I couldn't find any silicone mix near me so I tried this method and GIRL I was shook by how well it worked. When I first took it out the water it felt dry and looked matted but once I brushed a lil castor oil through it and let it sit to hair dry it felt so soft. I know its gonna look bomb after It dries all the way.

      Hey! 👋🏽😁 I know your comment is a month old 😅 but I have a question (in the event that you’re a person who checks your UA-cam notifications, because I’m generally not lol.) But was your wig that you tried the fabric softener with synthetic or human (OR blended). I’m asking because I just recently heard about the fabric softener method, but I heard it was only recommended for synthetic wigs so I never bothered trying..

      I’m not sure since I never tried it on a colored wig but I feel like it would work lol.

      Hot water tends to take color out, so I would be careful
      Update: it took the color out of my bundles( which is fine with me) but again,be careful 🤷🏾‍♀️

    I did this method, my wig is a wave curls, all the curls left, it's now really straight, I don't know?

  • @PinksMagenta

    I’m going to try this. I just saw someone do it and her wig shriveled up lol I think she had a synthetic wig. I have like 8 wigs I need to revamp

    • @KiannaVonne
      @KiannaVonne  2 роки тому +1

      Yes for sure try it! It really do works and I’m pretty sure it was probably synthetic lol or maybe she had it in the water too long!

    I tried this, not even sure what happened but this messed up my frontal so much, the hair got stuck to the actual net of the frontal it’s like heavily tangled or maybe the hair is even melted into the frontal net? Not even sure and it’s crazy, it looks unrepairable. Wonder if anyone experienced this

    • @KiannaVonne
      @KiannaVonne  4 роки тому +20

      Yeah that’s the first time I ever heard that happened on this video or even in general.
      I’m not sure how hair could melt into the lace unless it’s synthetic hair but as far as being tangle that happens you just need to use a wide tooth comb to comb it out but also be aware before you insert the wig into the pot it needs to be combed out, because washing tangled hair only going to knot it up.
      Sorry you had this experience though.

    • @lei752

      It most likely shedded a lot and became thinner

    • @Meowler
      @Meowler 4 роки тому +2

      With brushing and just everyday shed, a wig does become thinner and shorter. Happened to me, as well.

    • @KiannaVonne
      @KiannaVonne  2 роки тому +1

      I do it when I feel like my wig needs a deep cleaning, so it really goes by how much product you put in your hair but I would say just to clean it every month.

      As long as your hair in tack and when combing it make sure you don’t pull hard
