Hi Chigg, the circular rock you found is actually a concretion. It is created in the clay left by the ice age. In my area southern Quebec, just north of Vermont they date back to 12000 years ago. Should you find bigger ones you can try splitting them open and you may have a surprise. In the area north of Montreal they actually found fishes like cod. Dating back to the period were because of the melting ice, belugas, walrus and narval were swimming over Montreal. Although not made by the Native American, you are right. The odd shape, often animalistic, made them special. Because of this, it is said the native indian in my area the Abenaki associated them to the spirit of the woods. Often used in the teaching of different legends.
Chigg, What amazes me is the huge amount of stuff still in the rivers and battle sites, you'd think that by now pickings would be lean. Great day for us, a little cold for you, but your knowledge shines forth!
Still love your longer videos the best. Your playlist allows me to repeat & rewatch as often as I want or need. Both educational and entertaining. Always something for me to learn. Thanks for sharing, Professor.
Beau I particularly enjoy your 'river rambles' so special thanks for this episode and to my eyes the 'blade' you found looks like what is left of an old cut-throat razor minus the handle. I can easily imagine such a thing being among the personal possessions of a soldier, explorer or other traveler who might have 'fallen foul' of any number of misfortunes.
It’s always exciting watching you find civil war relics but I also wonder what were the circumstances when they were lost. The gore and the horror of the war must have been awful and life changing. Your effort to find, restore and catalogue these artifacts is respected. Stay awesome Mr. Chiggles.
LOL Chigg, I really enjoy the occasional misadventures that you have. Its very refreshing to see the "other" side of detecting not just the top finds. I love it that you fell asleep and awoke to the dark sky lol. You made me laugh and I appreciate that =).
@aquachigger Would anyone else LOVE to see an updated version where Chigg camps out overnight on the river like he used to? It would be SO awesome to see in 23'!🙏
Hello Chigsy greetings from South Australia. Big fan love your enthusiasm, humour and Adventurous attitude is something I'd love to do but cancer holds me back I live vicariously through your channel. Keep up the great content.
Chigg, you should have saved that rock for the International Rock Skipping contest....that is a winner. The lead remains of a food can explains why so many people were named Cletus and acted the way they did. That copper thing looks like an antique paddle or oar tip. Pretty sure it is, so that is actually a pretty good find.
At 6:44 this is a fishing ring weight for a bobber used to add weight to the bobber for longer casting distance using lightweight baits like worms or minnows. It goes around the bobber stem just below the bobber float. It is for weighted bobber floats.
Cool video!I love being out walking the creek banks after flooding ,found so many cool things that came out of the banks where Native Americans camped here in Kentucky.
Nice day, nice finds Chigg, I'm glad you didn't have us hold our breath on this one. You should keep a tarp with you to get out of the rain, on the bank.
How’s it going Beau ? Thanks as always for another great video! I truly appreciate you sharing your adventures. It has motivated me many times to get out and go metal detecting or hiking. Thank you for the time and hard work you put into your channel., it’s appreciated! Take care.
Great work as usual at 28 min the Cooper looks like what was once used as wood paddle protecter and the knife blade looks a lot like crooked knife blade always interesting the object you find
Aloha Chigg, Had a reel something like that as a kid 75 years ago. When you cast, you can slow down the line with your thumb and drop it right next to the cattails - where the Northerns live. Do it enough and it pisses them off so they bite it! Thanks for the friendship.
Great finds! That round rock looks like a miniature Claymore mine.😅 You getting cold reminds me, you caught COVID, right? Things are being discovered every day about both the disease and the “vaccine”. You may be a little immunocompromised. Don’t take chances that may cost you pneumonia. We, your fans, can’t live without you and your videos.
Chess piece was my first thought as well, looks like a bishop or knight 100% great adventure and finds got a little rough but ended up sweet thanks for sharing see you on the next one 👍🏼👊🏼
I really like this video. I love it when you’re finding stuff like that especially when you are in the area I live in it’s so cool to see that buck come up out of the ground.
Could be part of 28:11 a large Dutch oven. We have a flat bottom one with legs very similar to those. And it is fairly old itself. 28:34 Maybe a blade guard for an axe?
Stick yourself an emergency blanket, a small tarp and a couple of lawn trash bags in that boat. I figure that you already carry some parachute cord somewhere. Those trash bags are big enough and durable enough to sit in with the E blanket and make a pretty fair emergency rain parka. The main idea is shelter and warmth so that you remain safe. You may even have something akin to this.
you should keep an emergency/survival kit with you, or make one (a small tarp that you put rope, lighter, first aid, and anything else) just make it small and keep it in the boat.
My grandfather always used a dog chain to tie up on shore with a spring clasp on the end. I asked him as a young boy why he used it instead of rope. His reply was the tugging of the current will pull knots apart and off goes the boat!
It was on the national news recently they found an artillery shell. A long one like I've seen you find, in the field at Gettysburg. They called the bomb squad and said they exploded it.
Somebody once said that Dr. Michael Savage is "the champagne of talk radio". I agree. You never know what he's gonna talk about-wether it's how hard it is to find good meatballs these days or how the country is going to hell in a hand basket. Listening to Dr. Savage is like sitting down at a bar and having a beer and a good conversation. It's videos like this that make AquaChigger the champagne of youtube. Idea: instead of a regular 1/4 scuba suit, how about a 1/8" neoprene top with booties to keep the feet warm? WIth all the blood vessels subcutanious, feet get cold fast. As the old German proverb when sleeping: 'Warm feet, cool nose'.
Ok chigg , when are you going to dig an ox shoe. I watch religiously and can't think of any being dug yet. I'm waiting for that. My opinion is that a poor man's ox shoe, or due to lack of resources, a worn out horse shoe half may have been used. And ,no, they are not that different in a pinch. You know you could make that work if need be. Keep up the good videos and take better care of yourself!
Another day on the river and we find some great relics. I get cold again, imagine that...lol.
Chigg you da man
Hold your breath 🤭
Well done brother 💪🍀🤘😎
A plus !😊
That chiggle riggle🙃
Oooo brain eating amoeba!! No.under water here maybe!! Scuba safer in cold salt water
Love that boat!

In New Zealand someone finds fossilized crabs in them.
😮😮😮😅😮😅😅😊
Thanks for taking us along
Glad you enjoyed

Nicely done assortment of finds, i enjoyed the video. 🇺🇸
Nothing like watching you hunt the river for treasures. Great finds.
Buttons and Bullets. So much for an old man to learn! Thanks for your patience, Beau. I have to stick around to enjoy another picture show!
Thanks for the kind words, I appreciate you watching!
@@aquachigger You make it easy, Professor.
That is what makes it all so interesting, trying to imagine the stories behind the clues we find.
It’s always exciting watching you find civil war relics but I also wonder what were the circumstances when they were lost. The gore and the horror of the war must have been awful and life changing. Your effort to find, restore and catalogue these artifacts is respected. Stay awesome Mr. Chiggles.
MR CHIGGLES WILD RIDE!!! hahahahahha I love it!

Great selection of finds, the brass cornerish piece looks very much like a handmade handbag, fabric bag corners guard.
Nice finds! I love the boat too!
Great day Chig...I get happy when you have a good relic find day...
Looks like a blast. Thanks for sharing!
WOOO HOOOO I'm early!!!! What's up, Chigg! Thank you brother!

Wow chigg you found the good spot
Most excellent finds

Awesome hunt Beau. And yes I have witnessed those thumps in your boat myself first hand. Lol. It's fun 😊

The trees and scenery along the river looks amazeing. Glad you were able to find some good items. Enjoyed watching!
i think a @jigginwithjordan collab would be fun to watch. I think ya'll two different styles would be fun to see.
Great work as usual at 28 min the Cooper looks like what was once used as wood paddle protecter and the knife blade looks a lot like crooked knife blade always interesting the object you find
Cold, but warm heart. Nice finds. Happt swinging and diggin Chigg. Thanks for the adventure.👍😘
Looks like a good day Thanks
Another great hunt. Ty.
Hey Chigg great to see you tonight

That's awesome chigg interesting
Good to see you sporting a new pair of gloves, Chigg. Nice bullet grab on this trip!
Thanks
I love the old reel. That's a witch's caldren not a pot

It was 90 degrees today digging here in Tennessee! Far from the cold weather you have had up there!
Chess piece was my first thought as well, looks like a bishop or knight 100% great adventure and finds got a little rough but ended up sweet thanks for sharing see you on the next one 👍🏼👊🏼
Fantastic!
With that boat it would be tough to back off the throttle to look for anything! Fun on the river!
You got to love an ols musket ball #Solder
Nice 1800’s fly reel!
Another Great Video!!!
Love that boat
The piece of lead at 6:47 looks like it might go to a weighted bobber or float maybe lol

i want a boat like that!
Hey Chigg ! A good day on the river. I'm likin' that little boat more and more.
Next accessory a spot light on a gimbals.
Oh yeah!
Gamera was the monster turtle!!!
Yep that’s a old fly reel Chigg
Those rocks are called concretions. They are formed naturally.
Hello. Nice hunt as (almost) every time. I am just wondering what you do with all those bullets. I would just keep one of each kind for my collection.
GOOD DIVE ON THE RIVER THANKS , STAY SAFE OUT THERE 😮.

Keep you eye open for gold on the river bottoms!!
You need to store a tarp on the Chigg Rig it would be very handy in situations like that.
you should keep an emergency/survival kit with you, or make one (a small tarp that you put rope, lighter, first aid, and anything else) just make it small and keep it in the boat.
I can make a fire at any time. I was just chilled a bit.
@@aquachigger well don't you go and get sick or hurt please. love your vids btw.
I saw one of those Vent Hole buttons the other day on Hoover Boys or Stealth Diggers and I think they called it a Blow Hole Button. Nice finds.
Ching when are you back in England for river hunters??
Not this summer....
😩
What a story those bullets could tell.
28:35 looks like wooden oar protector
I believe that's a Hendrix reel from 1890's. I've found a couple. Reel nice.
Thanks for the info
Howdy

Always love your videos. What kind of waders/boots do you use?
My grandfather always used a dog chain to tie up on shore with a spring clasp on the end. I asked him as a young boy why he used it instead of rope. His reply was the tugging of the current will pull knots apart and off goes the boat!
That round rock at 14:00 sure looks like an ammonite, you can even see the shell ripples
Two times had hypothermia same conditions, be careful chigg.
Not really hypo, just chilled.
Wad cutter bullet. Big hollow base and flat front end.
That chain you found looks like a piece of snow tire chain
18:34 wasnt that two round balls? The other dropped back in the river.
Kinda looked like one, but I always check the hole so suspect it was rock.
The left handed glove on the right hand was very distracting. Haha!
That chain was definitely part of a US trace chain or whifflechain.
i'm always ready for an adventure FUCK YEAH!!
How many pound pull is your magnetic pole?
What brand of jet boat do you have. We’re retiring to Hampshire County WV in the next few years.
River Rat Mini-jet. Tell them Chigg sent ya!
@@aquachigger thanks Bo!
I wish I could find one of those kayaks you used with a motor
They are out there...keep searching.

Sometimes when you come out of the hole in the Chigg Rig it sounds like it’s bumping the rev limiter. Just curious if that’s what I’m hearing?
Where is this river?
Hey Chigg do you always hunt alone? Can you land a float plane on that river? Stay frosty 🇨🇱🇺🇲
Sides on pocket knife are called scales
ChigMeister, you find one hell of a lot of stuff from the Civil War earlier later but a lot of stuff. I’m curious to know what you do with it all.
He has a whole room stuffed with finds, he did a video a few years back.
