I get unnecessarily angry that I have to go into each individual outfit and add piercings/nails/etc. There should be a "apply to all outfit" checkbox. Similarly to the sims 3.
Even the sims 2 had that option. Also if you create a new sim and immediately change their makeup first, that applies to all outfits. Has to be a new sim though.
i wish that CAS relationships had more in depth things like ex partners, aunts or uncles without having to make another sim to make it that way, boyfriends/girlfriends, etc 😭😭
Yep, and EA has known about it for years. I supposedly had a fix, but I don't know... I mean, there was also a fix for sims always drinking water, and now they seem back to doing it. 🤦♀️

people actually found that sims default to the most expensive of an item so if you have the same sink in both the bathrooms and the kitchen they'll instead default to whatever is closest which is what i've done and it works . sucks that to get them to be a little less stupid you might have to sacrifice the look of a house but for practicality i'd say it's not a bad fix since it doesn't involve a mod or cheats so it should also work on console

But seriously, I have banned all coffee machines and bars from vintage glamour in all my households because of the constant drinking. The one thing that always gets me is when you finally get the toddler in the high-chair for food, but then one of the other sims in your household swoops in and picks them up again. Like PLEASE, MA'M, YOUR CHILD IS STARVING. Honestly, at this point, I've given up on highchairs all together. Grab your little plate and eat while on the sofa, you degenerate.
I've noticed they work better if you play as the toddler. It seems that the other Sim comes in to take the kid out of the high chair when the toddler is in it and calls to them. I've switched to the toddler right as it's happening, and I've seen that they had an action involving the Sim that takes them out of the high chair. So if you play as the toddler and ask for food, you can get the SIM to put the toddler in the high chair and feed them without another one coming in and taking them out first.
bruh this happened when i was playing with a household that had an infant and the worst part of it was that it was like, family friends who happened to be over constantly picking up the baby for no reason, i legit yelled at the game over that lmao like please just let the baby have his finger foods
for real, especially when you want to line a path with the short fences and then you have the options to either have the fence stopping awkwardly or, worse, have the path stopping awkwardly (right in front of the pathway of outside the estate)

I get so beyond furious when I take a sim or two off of the home lot and leave the rest at home to auto care for their needs, and you expect them to take care of themselves and act accordingly, but by the time you return home to your household all the sims you left are awake and running low on literally every need as if they didn’t do anything while I was gone. Boils my blood and is the reason why all my sims are always shut ins
oh I had that happen once where I took one of my sims off the lot and left her toddler at home with his dad and then noticed the toddler was sad bc of low needs, I was like ffs never mind let’s go home then since dad wants to be useless 😂

The tagging system in general is so dumb too like the fact that you have to clear the outfit category in sleep and formal for piercing, I've had my nose pierced for like ten years now and I've never taken it out for formal event and I sure af don't take it out for sleeping
The fact that every fence doesn't have a matching handrail and gate makes me almost as irrationally angry as when the sims walk across the house to use a sink rather than the sink in the bathroom they used (only to get embarrassed because they walked in on someone) lol Also I was playing the other day with a household where a non-parent adult sim was home alone with an infant and the adult was not able to care for the infant because they hadn't been introduced?!?! They are part of the same household!! I had to hire a nanny so the kid didn't get taken away! Speaking of infants, the auto-babycare settings are unhinged! I need my sims to just do what I tell them and not get distracted by another screaming baby!!
@imfamoushero you can put apartments on the gallery by making them rooms. I haven't heard of this method but that's interesting (I don't have apartments in my game to be clear)
THIS. I know you can upload them as rooms but it's nonsense, since you have to delete certains walls and can't have proper platforms that are connected by stairs in those cases. It absolutely sucks

I wish sims that I meet once, briefly would not let themselves into my house and ask me to be their best friend. I wind up feeling bad for rejecting them but they should KNOCK so I can just ignore them like a normal person😂
You have your sims meet people? I just make my sims loners so they don't need much social. Like I see my friends IRL once a year maybe? Though post covid we haven't met in person, just chatted online. Don't really feel the need to do more than that anyway. Don't get why sims get upset if they've not talked to someone for a few days. Like that's bliss.
Very annoying. I used to focus so much on events but now I'm using a mod for that and it made my gameplay so much better lol. Now the events are still there but I can pick if I want to do something or not. Sometimes I'm ending it right away too 'cause I know I won't do it. The mod prevents calendar events to affect your sims, so even if you don't do it they won't feel anything. Most of those events are useless anways lmao. The ONLY "events" affecting your Sims with that mod is missing birthdays, like, no one baked a cake - they still gonna get sad from that but I think that's totally fine.
Yeah I'd like to be able to indicate whether it's a holiday they care about- like they won't get sad for missing some minor holidays but will be sad about others even some ones you create. Especially for winterfest as that's very Christmasy and maybe my sims don't celebrate it
YES THE TOWNIE CONVO INTERRUPTIONS! Especially when you’re having your sim talk to one not in your family; then a townie comes in and ruins everything. Like so many potential meet cutes got ruined because Geoffrey Landgraab butted in the convo and ended up getting uncomfortable.
I wish their headshots in the conversation panel had little crosses that you could click to remove them from the convo like when you delete households from Edit Town

One thing from TS4 that I HATE: Sims not doing what they're told and just standing there staring blankly with that stupid grin on their faces before dropping the action from their queue 😡

Little things that annoy me without end 1)that Vegetarian Sims take out Leftovers that contain meat and then get sick/unhappy when there are vegetarian dishes 2) the non-existing Thirstbar for regular Sims they constaintly go get a glass of Water drink half it have to pee and it stands around somewhere on the lot 3)that if your Sim wears Glasses many careeroutfits dont have a Glasses spot or you have to cheats for them to wear them

It's maddening to me that there isn't a button to apply the same makeup or glasses to every outfit in CAS. I got so sick of scrolling through each category to add it on every outfit that I've straight up stopped giving my sims makeup. I also get mad when I have to go through a dozen submenus to find a specific action/topic needed to complete tasks for jobs or events. If it's something my sim needs to do, I want it to be front and center.
Thiiiis. This is my biggest pet peeve with the sims 4. Much like with Jesse wanting to have saved custom outfits, I'd love a save custom make up look where with one button click we can apply a full face of make up where we've already picked the lipstick/blush/eyeshadow/eyeliner/facepaint/etc.
I hate this so much! If you do mods, I did find you can apply the makeup and accessories to every outfit with MCCC. It still isn't just a button in CAS like I want, but it has let me put makeup on my sims again.
Facts to all this and plumbella recently did a video with a mod where if you click on a Sim and open all those options you can TYPE and it'll be a SEARCH BAR and everything with those letters/words will show up it makes doing interactions SO MUCH FASTER I could not recommend it enough

On one hand I like having a tiny costumizable phone for each of them, but seriously, their ten year old child does not need a a smarthphone. And there are some settings where a landline phone just belongs in there. Of course you can do without it in the game, but landline phones are still a thing in the majority of households, so why weren't they included ten years ago?
A TS4 thing I hate is the high chairs bc dad will put the kid down, go to get food, and then mom, grandma, and big brother are all there immediately trying to pick them out of the high chair. Like, let the toddlers eat! If someone is getting them food, they shouldn’t be able to be removed!!
My issue was that when I told them to get the kid out of the high chair, the parent would pick up the child and set them back down over and over again without actually taking them and setting them down to let them out of the chair.
YES! on the flirty conversations. My sims will be in the middle of a date and then a 3rd wheel decides to join in all of a sudden. In real life if a couple were on a date I feel like it's common sense for someone else to not butt in.
There's a mod floating around that allows you to click and kick a Sim out of conversations they weren't invited to. I forget who it's from but it's really helpful.

in the sims 3 you can chat with multiple sims, you just have to "invite to conversation". i love that they all sit down to enjoy a meal together and have small talks amongst themselves.
This! I didn’t even know about this until recently, but I had a sim go to a party and invite someone into the conversation while they were all watching TV. It was so cute and realistic

@@eldritchalienSee, not everyone knows that off the top of their head, and while you can look the commands up, it's really inconvenient and a lengthy process when in past games and with mods you can do it at the click of a button.
i dont even play with occults because every time i start a game i use one of my favourite sims ive made, its so hard to make a unique but nice looking sim from scratch
1) For the sleeping, I have to make sure all of the radios in the room have been turned off. Otherwise, they keep waking up 2) Can we STOP having them obsess over any tea or coffee machine?? Like it's haha hehe for a little bit but they drink 4 cups within 2 sim hours!
Yeah they don't even get a thought bubble and react to being woken up by things the way they did in previous games. it's hard to tell when they're being woken up. Also in previous games a lot of the time they'd turn the offending thing off themselves if it woke them up
I really miss the feature in the Sims 3 where you could click an drag an action to be like "fish until next level" or "sleep until 6am" - this would fix the sleeping issue with the Sims but ALSO I'm so tired of my sims either working on a skill for like 2 seconds and then quitting or doing an action until they piss themselves like can we just have them continue an action until they level up?

The sadness when someone dies is maddening! I wish they'd use the family tree relationships and the friendship levels to determine whether/for how long sims are sad. Examples (family relationships): A parent/child of a sim dies = 2 days; An uncle dies = 1 day; A cousin dies = 12 hours. Examples (friendship level): Best friends = 2 days; acquaintences = 4 hours.
I think relationship level controlling would be nice. It would totally fix the toddler thing specially cause it seems like I have to introduce my toddler to the extended family every effing time they come to my place
Yes to all the CAS complaints, especially saving outfits. Have you ever made an outfit in everyday and decide it'd be better as party wear, or hot weather wear, etc. And then you have to recreate it piece by piece. And sometimes I like to just play dress up and it'd be awesome to save the outfits to use later on other Sims. I'd love collection folders for both BB and CAS, and for objects in the catelog to be tagged with key words. Too many objects have stupid "witty" names so never show up in searches.
Mine is STOP GETTING GLASSES OF WATER. If you leave them idle for 2 seconds they will go get a glass of water. Drives me mad. And random strangers just coming in your house all the time (usually to also get water), is a real pain in the ars3. Also, using a different sink that's miles away after using the toilet.
The random strangers walking in my house 💀 some lots I’ve literally had sims just walk through my house like a pathway in game. It’s so annoying sometimes I switch all my exterior door settings to household only.
Toddler care in general is so difficult. Parents will take forever to put their child in the hi-chair for a meal, only to take them out before they actually start eating the food >.
@@_BiscuitbearI absolutely despise how they have the infants wanting to sleep. They get upset when they've been " awake for too long " even though their energy bar is still in the green. You basically can't get anything done with them. Which is very difficult when you're trying to get all the milestones. Or you leave them for a minute and all the sudden they are trying to try to go to sleep. I feel like that should only happen when their bar is in at least the yellow. I get that babies need a lot more sleep, but then it just should be an energy bar that goes down faster.
If I try to make the a family of sims eat at the same time, a parent will put the toddler in the high chair, and the other will put the child down and then eat the toddler’s food INSTEAD of their own. Literally stealing candy from a baby, 😭
What absolutely drives me mad is going anywhere in the game and a celebrity shows up... Proposal? No, cancelled, just waiting for 2 hours to faint in front of a celebrity! Also, random sims messing with my garbage can 3x a day
What angers me is when their mood changes every 2 second so you hear so many "mood" songs it becomes so annoying. And I hate how they overreact, like can't they just not act like absolute lunatics for once? Annoying.
For me one of the most annoying things is how paintings and posters/decals are in the same category, it makes it so hard to find anything. Also laundry things are so difficult to find for some reason. Another thing is how when you travel or load into a save i wish it would start paused instead of playing straight away cause sometimes i click off the screen or do something else during the loading screen and then forget about the game and all of a sudden all my sims are dead.
a small thing that gets under my skin is when a sim cooks a party/grand meal, finishes cooking it, and immediately takes a plate, thus not taking a plate with everyone else and not eating with everyone else. i wish the autonomy would realize the party/grand meal is meant to be eaten with others and stop from immediately eating. idk how this would be accomplished but it drives me mad when my sims can't have dinners as a family bc the parent that cooked has already eaten lol
right, and if you then want to "call to meal", they must put down the plate and then they grab a new plate, thus wasting the plate they already grabbed!
WHY is it not an option to separate the meals into plates yourself, so you can set them all on a table you want them to eat at, since sims have such a hard time eating together. So ironic that that’s exactly what they advertised as being so special about the sims 4 and it STILL DOESN’T EVEN WORK PROPERLY!
The thing that gets me is if you want to talk to a far away sim, one of the sims just freezes and stands there and can't do anything until you're close enough to start the conversation. It's slightly preferable to them walking off the lot, but really frustrating that your sim has to just stand there and wait instead of like, eating, or doing dishes, or maybe walking over to meet them halfway? Literally anything besides doing their best scarecrow impression.
This one actually is possible in game, although does require bringing up the cheat console in game. For example, I think the cheat for turning the sim into a vampire instantly is something like traits.equip_trait trait_OccultVampire. There are similar cheats for other occults.
I always thought I was just dumb that I couldn't find the button for the occult thing because surely they would have included that because... it's so obvious that we'd need that option. But nope, guess we're not allowed to change our minds lol. Now I just use MCCC after character creation and change the sim into whatever occult or just normal as needed since I don't want to redo character creation.
But sims can be turned into vampires/werewolves by an existing vampire/werewolf in-game? I don't really understand those two gripes specifically. But definitely for spellcasters and mermaids and any other occult I might be forgetting

Ive actually found that even with lilmssams sleep mod, my sims will still wake up to check infants, actually. infants, babies crying (god forbid, honestly) will still actually interrupt their sleep - but recently, like a month ago, i installed a mod that let them cuddle in bed, cuz honestly i was just missing it from the earlier games, and it actually refuses to let another action interrupt sleep through the cuddle action!!! ive never been more happy in my LIFE to ignore and neglect children, honestly!
This!!! I needed an inspired moodlet for my sim but he kept being confident because of his homework. The only item I could find with the moodlet was a bigass piano! 😫

I love to use a lot of build from the gallery and I find it so annoying that the rectangular lots don’t differentiate between the long side / short side. It’s frustrating when I find a beautiful 40x30 gallery build that I want to place somewhere, only to realize the way the lot is facing actually needs a 30x40 build.
When a sim grills a meal - then instead of grabbing a serving, they grab chips from the fridge instead. Or, when sims can't start a conversation until they first hug. It takes so long sometimes - and you literally live in the same house. Edit: I just remembered the recent "fix" by EA where doors don't disappear with walls down in apartments. Drives me absolutely nuts - I can't play in San Myshuno anymore.
I desperately want counters and the sit-at counters to align correctly or be the same size at least so its not as awkward to place it in one smooth way
I think there should be black, white, grey, light wood, dark wood and an in-between wood tone swatches for every item in build buy as standard. Everything will be able to go together and there won't be mismatched wood tones for items that are supposed to be a set if there was the same standard swatches.
I hate that if you play on a normal lifespan and have your sim make lots of friends eventually they’ll just end up permanently mourning everyone who dies 😭
I don't know if anyone else gets this, but all my sims live in a beautiful, huge gothic mansion. The uncle has his own room, and for some reason, every night, ALL the other family members go straight to HIS bathroom to use his sink for WATER. There are like TEN sinks, and they all lock onto his for some reason 😭 I shouldn't have to lock his door every time he goes to sleep
You could lock his bathroom for everyone but himself. That way you wont have to redo it over and over it will always just be used by him. I do this for certain bathrooms in my game.
I've heard that Sims path to the highest "value" item on the lot ... Not sure if that means price or something else like buffs such as comfortable. I would try downgrading the sink in the uncle's bathroom and/or upgrading the other ones you would prefer they use.
I’ve been using Better BuildBuy for such a long time that I totally forgot that in vanilla game you can only sort by Kits, meanwhile BBB splits the kits into their own separate filters.

the "Sort By" option could replace the need for a favorites star if we had a "sort by frequency" like how like often I use that item.. and sorting by how infrequently i used an item would make for a fun challenge too!
I quit playing it because it annoyed me so much... which is sad because I was at baby 25 in the 100 baby challenge. I hope they change it back. It doesnt work well.
Jess have you used the expanded mermaids mod? It actually makes them fun to play! They can become sea witches, turn people into kelpies, and use a seashell cauldron!
There is an off the grid section, you have to go through the objects by function tab and its a categiry called "off the grid" and it even has each type of object categorized by function (like lighting and plumbing are separate categories)
(Couldn't find anyone talking abt this so I'll say it) Off-the-grid objects actually have their own tab in the Objects-menu (the one with "Comfort, Lighting, Decor" etc)! I believe I have also seen something similar for treehouse objects in a video, but I don't have the pack so I'm not sure. Edit: What I would _love_ to have in CAS are the "save custom look" and sorting options Jessie talks about, but also a "hide this item" option. There are a lot of CAS items I never use bc they are so damn fugly, and having to scroll through them is a chore and makes CAS all the more annoying to work with. I don't have the motivation to dress my sims cute bc I have to sift through tons of items (and, with the menu having only 2 columns w/o mods.. I mean come onnnnn) ALSO the option to permanently take off the "clothing type" (or whatever it is, next to the "sort by color" etc menu) tag without having to click that tiny x every single time in every single clothing tab for every single sim, is much needed. I don't need my earrings to be sorted by if they are pyjamas-appropriate or not, I can decide on that myself, tyvm!!
the talking/eating thing definitely impacts general time management, my sims always barely make it to work by the skin of their teeth because they took 3 hours wandering around the house playing musical chairs while eating
also the 3+way conversation thing was a completely useless addition, its so broken and playing previous games feels so much more focused. juggling multiple sims in a conversation is tedious anyway
The cabinets being bigger than the end counters drives me nuts. I usually use open shelves at the end so I can line them up more easily, but I don't understand why they don't design then to match??? I also wish that things like paintings/rugs would have more viewing options. There are so many different styles buried within individual paintings/rugs and its hard to remember they exist -- I think it would be useful to view all swatches individually for those. And whyyyy isn't there a sort by size option.
This one is so true and I feel like I want a favs tab in build mode for this exact reason, the amount of times I have sifted through swatches of rugs and been like "that's so cute" but it didn't match the build vibe and then I completely forget or cant find it. LET ME FAVOURITE SWATCHES You can kind of do this by going into a section (like chairs) and then filtering by colour and click select all, it'll show all the swatches separately but its VERY annoying to scroll through (this also goes for cas items cus some of them have 20 swatches and only 2 of them are actually cute)
@@torimod would love an extended rug menu which gives you 2/3 sizes of the same rug. Like a menu the same way counters extended menu comes up (I know I can use [ ] but they scale weird)
4:07 theres a great mod that Spinningplumbobs made if you want more stuff to do with the mermaids called "expanded mermaids" which adds stuff like mermaid rank and mermaid mythology skills, weaknesses and perks you develop as u develop ur skill, and also adds sea witches (which you can become yourself).
Also heavily agree on pretty much everything youve said in this video, ESPECIALLY that you can't change an existing sim to occult without commands or the actual gameplay triggers that cause them to change
The constantly being sad over a sim who passed drives me up the wall, especially when their entire queue is them crying at the urn/grave. One sim in particular who was an evil sim kept running into the backyard to cry over the grave of a household member she wasn't even close with. It was doubly aggravating because she's also a vampire and would do this all the time including when it's sunny out. Then when I moved a new sim (who was also evil and a vampire) in she started doing it as well even though she never met the sim who passed.
You should only cry for family and close friends imo. Because if you ever dealt with loss and are emotional like me you will cry all the time thinking about them :( the sadness lasting ages is too real.
Under general build buy: I WANT A LOCK BUTTON AFTER IVE CHOSEN TO FILTER THRU PACKS. I hate that I have to get in the habit of not using the eyedropper tool while doing limited pack builds so it doesnt revert back to nothing selected. Grinds me gears man.
Some things that irk me: When my two dating/married couple sims are eating and they have any interaction THAT CAN BE DONE SITTING! They stop eating, get up to kiss each other, then stand there eating 😑 My sims can cook a meal and will eat standing up, by the time I direct them to sit down they not only take their sweet time to acknowledge I gave them a command but sit down with an empty plate cause they finished eating…. Idk if anyone else has this but now I’m left wondering if my sims are going to do what I told them to do because so often they’re just standing there and eventually go do it…. I hate the likes/dislikes….my sim will wake up at 3am pissed off because he hates the computer desk but sorry bud it’s the only one we can afford right now 😅 But now he’s angry with the world and lashes out at everyone ughh so annoying
I actually noticed that the sims waking up and going to work can get interrupted without you getting any say on it because they walk into a corner of the living room to appreciate the lamp because it's queen anne style or something. I've stopped giving my sims furniture preferences because of this. Too many times they just immediately came back from work with like getting paid 3 simoleons :/
This!!! Also Sims getting leftovers and immediately eating it at the fridge blocking everyone else from reaching the fridge. Or if multiple manage to get food but they both stand on top of each other facing the fridge 🫠
Totally agree. It’s absolutely ridiculous how they (the townies) are everywhere and basically in your face. One actually flirted with my date and they flirted back so I abandoned the date and left them. It’s on annoying at that point. 😂😂😂
i wish you could make sims related to ones already in the world without making them in the same household, i want extended family, grandparents and pets which i cant fit in one household.
University gave us bike, but then designed Foxbury to be the most unfriendly bike campus with all the stairs. Leaving Spice Market on a bike get you stuck in an endless biking circle.
the new conversation system is great when you just want to have a casual conversation with a sim, but when you actually need to do something specofic for an event/aspiration/etc. its impossible to find. i was recently playing Cottage Living and the jobs you can do for your townies have specific interactions, but it took me FOREVER to find them because they wouldn't show up in the first menu. ‼️if it's something i need to do please let there be a category for it 😭 rn i think everything is sorted under "friendly→actions", but its doesn't make sense to me.
Also I swear some actions have just completely disappeared or changed? Romancing sims is way harder with the new menu because the only appropriate options that show up for me now until you get to a certain romance level is compliment appearance and flirt and the sims get annoyed if you repeat them too many times. Also there used to be social interactions you could only do while sitting down like make out and snuggle that have completely disappeared for me with the new pie menu
Would love a minimap option for when you're out the house and it has icons on the edges showing what directions different attractions are in, as a mini solve for the last point.
I had someone die of old age during the welcome wagon. ALL my sims said to them is hello and then she was sad for AGES after. She had sad from the person passing away AND from witnessing a death. Because she died in my house, I was also left with her tombstone. So annoying. I had her bring it back to the family of the dead sim so I didn’t have to deal with her ghost.
I hate that since Sims CAN multitask, they INSIST on multitasking. They will be running late to school and I tell them to have a quick meal, and then they walk across the entire lot so they can go sit next to another sim and talk to them while they eat. Just sit at the table! Go to school! Stop carrying your toast around for 45 minutes!
A small thing I hate is that I have to redo the make up every outfit. I can't lock it like in sims 3?! I'll pick a random sim and they'll have the same obnoxious bright lipstick for every outfit unless i change it. there's not even a "remove on all" or whatever.
I hate that not all lots are directly connected to roads. On many of them, there's always that annoying gap that makes a path leading up to the house look stupid.
Biggest thing that annoys me is that moveobjects should be a toggle. Seriously, the Sims Team knows how big the building community is, and that most people use moveobjects. Why not make it a toggle? Why do we have to type it in every. single. time??

I installed the organized debug and better build mods just because of this. The better build have the moveobjects toggle and you can select to show or hidden the live and debug items too
hey girl! all of the occults have a gameplay path to become one, but because of that you should totally be able to make them occult in cas full edit mode. mermaid: get mermadic kelp from the rewards store or find it diving in sulani vampire: ask to be turned by a vamp spellcaster: collect the seven magic mote things by the portal werewolf: ask to be bitten! alien: this is the only path where you have to start out as an alien no matter what:/ but you can have alien kids ofc
Here's some of my irk : - Why do we need to make a sim in order to start a new game? - When you click on Load Save, it goes straight to the menu but when you exit the Load Save menu, you are given a loading screen. Why is that? - Why is the story tell thingy is the default CAS? - What's the difference between Clutter and Misc Decor? - Why is the washing machine and dryer is in the Indoor Activities section but the hamper and everything is in the bathroom clutter? - Why is the bug of sim obsessively drinking water back in the game? - and Why is the infant still so bugged to hell?
completely agree with the first one, when i tried it out i just wanted to see what building a house was like and it was so frustrating having to make a sim bc i didnt know you couldnt just make a save with no active household
Just two quick things to make your life easier! 1. Thepancake1 and mizoreyukii - remove sims from conversations (GOD SEND MOD!) 2. Deaderpool - MCC (there’s an option to disable emotional deaths I hope these help EDIT 3. Kuttoe- keep sims in home region (does what it says on the box sims will only visit the worlds in which they reside)
When you are on the gallery and you select the packs you have but it still shows building from packs you don't have. When you are harvesting or selling fruits from your garden and they all end up in your family inventory or plants suddenly disappear even though it's in the house /green house or it's still in season.
Oh my god that gallery one is so annoying. It's not meant to be like that, it's just broken and EA are never going to fix it because sims youtubers own all the packs and don't even realise it's a problem

Yes! I really miss the custom collections you could create in Sims 3. Such a time saver when you're trying to decorate a home with a specific look that you want.
Totally agree about the category sorting in BB (i.e. suitable for toddlers, placable on treehouse etc) but just in case anyone wasn't aware, there is an option for off the grid options if you go to search by category instead of search by room, which is then broken down into off-the-grid lighting, plumbing, activities etc.

One thing that ships my sink is that I waste so much time trying to find clutter for the kitchen/bathroom/laundry room/bedroom/etc because there's absolutely no logic in the clutter category... I just ended up making rooms like "kitchen clutter", "bathroom clutter" and saved them to my library but the downside is that I need to update it whenever a new pack comes out.

YES!!! Weren't we able to set the same makeup look to all outfits in the sim 3? And also nails. We should be able to set the name nail color/style for all outfits imo.
The plants resetting when it's time to evolve them or when you have to fertilize them or when you travel to the museum and then back to your house ANNOYS ME SO DAMN MUCH and this applies to the plants around your neighborhood like UGH
There are so many small things that can thankfully be fixed by mods. I still wish we could build diagonal stairs and connect different foundation heights more easily. I‘d also like a sort of MC Dresser function in CAS, where items can be blacklisted / whitelisted for Townies.
I hate that social workers don’t exist in TS4. When a child gets taken away, they just *poof* disappear, it’s so anticlimactic. I also completely agree with the occults in CAS! And as other have said, the accessories! We should be able to apply to all outfit categories, same with makeup.
My biggest pet peeve is that literally lose my mind on townies when I’m trying to do historical saves. I will delete everyone and spawn in my own townies and then the game just creates random homeless sims. Even turning off the spawning they still show up. 😭 Eta. I also hate trying to find collectibles. Cannot stand it. Got a mod to find them for me bc I can’t do it

people actually found that sims default to the most expensive of an item so if you have the same sink in both the bathrooms and the kitchen they'll instead default to whatever is closest which is what i've done and it works . sucks that to get them to be a little less stupid you might have to sacrifice the look of a house but for practicality i'd say it's not a bad fix since it doesn't involve a mod or cheats so it should also work on console

But seriously, I have banned all coffee machines and bars from vintage glamour in all my households because of the constant drinking. The one thing that always gets me is when you finally get the toddler in the high-chair for food, but then one of the other sims in your household swoops in and picks them up again. Like PLEASE, MA'M, YOUR CHILD IS STARVING. Honestly, at this point, I've given up on highchairs all together. Grab your little plate and eat while on the sofa, you degenerate.
I've noticed they work better if you play as the toddler. It seems that the other Sim comes in to take the kid out of the high chair when the toddler is in it and calls to them. I've switched to the toddler right as it's happening, and I've seen that they had an action involving the Sim that takes them out of the high chair. So if you play as the toddler and ask for food, you can get the SIM to put the toddler in the high chair and feed them without another one coming in and taking them out first.
bruh this happened when i was playing with a household that had an infant and the worst part of it was that it was like, family friends who happened to be over constantly picking up the baby for no reason, i legit yelled at the game over that lmao like please just let the baby have his finger foods
And it’s mostly cause the toddler called them like NO STOP. And when I try to cancel the interaction the sims just keep on going

What bugs me most about CAS is there is no apply all for makeup, jewelry, glasses, etc. I hate having to add it to all outfit categories.
Not being able to put a fence at the outer edge of the lot is so infuriating
for real, especially when you want to line a path with the short fences and then you have the options to either have the fence stopping awkwardly or, worse, have the path stopping awkwardly (right in front of the pathway of outside the estate)
Exactly! Also the fact that the lots don't line up to the world so your lovely pathway ends in grass a foot away from the world pathway......... so infuriating!

I get so beyond furious when I take a sim or two off of the home lot and leave the rest at home to auto care for their needs, and you expect them to take care of themselves and act accordingly, but by the time you return home to your household all the sims you left are awake and running low on literally every need as if they didn’t do anything while I was gone. Boils my blood and is the reason why all my sims are always shut ins

Also I was playing the other day with a household where a non-parent adult sim was home alone with an infant and the adult was not able to care for the infant because they hadn't been introduced?!?! They are part of the same household!! I had to hire a nanny so the kid didn't get taken away!
Speaking of infants, the auto-babycare settings are unhinged! I need my sims to just do what I tell them and not get distracted by another screaming baby!!

THIS. I know you can upload them as rooms but it's nonsense, since you have to delete certains walls and can't have proper platforms that are connected by stairs in those cases. It absolutely sucks

Very annoying. I used to focus so much on events but now I'm using a mod for that and it made my gameplay so much better lol. Now the events are still there but I can pick if I want to do something or not. Sometimes I'm ending it right away too 'cause I know I won't do it. The mod prevents calendar events to affect your sims, so even if you don't do it they won't feel anything. Most of those events are useless anways lmao. The ONLY "events" affecting your Sims with that mod is missing birthdays, like, no one baked a cake - they still gonna get sad from that but I think that's totally fine.
Yeah I'd like to be able to indicate whether it's a holiday they care about- like they won't get sad for missing some minor holidays but will be sad about others even some ones you create. Especially for winterfest as that's very Christmasy and maybe my sims don't celebrate it

YES THE TOWNIE CONVO INTERRUPTIONS! Especially when you’re having your sim talk to one not in your family; then a townie comes in and ruins everything. Like so many potential meet cutes got ruined because Geoffrey Landgraab butted in the convo and ended up getting uncomfortable.
I wish their headshots in the conversation panel had little crosses that you could click to remove them from the convo like when you delete households from Edit Town

So many times I have decided to create an occult sim, gone into CAS, did their entire look in all categories and got everything perfect, only to realise I FORGOT to make them an occult first!!!

Little things that annoy me without end
1)that Vegetarian Sims take out Leftovers that contain meat and then get sick/unhappy when there are vegetarian dishes
2) the non-existing Thirstbar for regular Sims they constaintly go get a glass of Water drink half it have to pee and it stands around somewhere on the lot
3)that if your Sim wears Glasses many careeroutfits dont have a Glasses spot or you have to cheats for them to wear them
I wish being vegetarian or lactose intolerant wasn't a personality trait but instead there was a separate menu for nutritious preferences similiar to the sexual preferences menu.

It's maddening to me that there isn't a button to apply the same makeup or glasses to every outfit in CAS. I got so sick of scrolling through each category to add it on every outfit that I've straight up stopped giving my sims makeup. I also get mad when I have to go through a dozen submenus to find a specific action/topic needed to complete tasks for jobs or events. If it's something my sim needs to do, I want it to be front and center.

If you do mods, I did find you can apply the makeup and accessories to every outfit with MCCC. It still isn't just a button in CAS like I want, but it has let me put makeup on my sims again.
Facts to all this and plumbella recently did a video with a mod where if you click on a Sim and open all those options you can TYPE and it'll be a SEARCH BAR and everything with those letters/words will show up it makes doing interactions SO MUCH FASTER I could not recommend it enough
FUN FACT: When I first got the sims 4 back in 2014 I spent 1 hour in CAS just looking for the button to save my outfits.

And there are some settings where a landline phone just belongs in there. Of course you can do without it in the game, but landline phones are still a thing in the majority of households, so why weren't they included ten years ago?

A TS4 thing I hate is the high chairs bc dad will put the kid down, go to get food, and then mom, grandma, and big brother are all there immediately trying to pick them out of the high chair. Like, let the toddlers eat! If someone is getting them food, they shouldn’t be able to be removed!!
damn for me it’s always the opposite problem. i have my sim put their toddler in the high chair and then simply abandon them
i don’t even use high chairs anymore because of this 😭
My issue was that when I told them to get the kid out of the high chair, the parent would pick up the child and set them back down over and over again without actually taking them and setting them down to let them out of the chair.
YES! on the flirty conversations. My sims will be in the middle of a date and then a 3rd wheel decides to join in all of a sudden. In real life if a couple were on a date I feel like it's common sense for someone else to not butt in.
There's a mod floating around that allows you to click and kick a Sim out of conversations they weren't invited to. I forget who it's from but it's really helpful.

in the sims 3 you can chat with multiple sims, you just have to "invite to conversation". i love that they all sit down to enjoy a meal together and have small talks amongst themselves.
This! I didn’t even know about this until recently, but I had a sim go to a party and invite someone into the conversation while they were all watching TV. It was so cute and realistic

i dont even play with occults because every time i start a game i use one of my favourite sims ive made, its so hard to make a unique but nice looking sim from scratch
1) For the sleeping, I have to make sure all of the radios in the room have been turned off. Otherwise, they keep waking up
2) Can we STOP having them obsess over any tea or coffee machine?? Like it's haha hehe for a little bit but they drink 4 cups within 2 sim hours!
Yeah they don't even get a thought bubble and react to being woken up by things the way they did in previous games. it's hard to tell when they're being woken up. Also in previous games a lot of the time they'd turn the offending thing off themselves if it woke them up

The sadness when someone dies is maddening! I wish they'd use the family tree relationships and the friendship levels to determine whether/for how long sims are sad. Examples (family relationships): A parent/child of a sim dies = 2 days; An uncle dies = 1 day; A cousin dies = 12 hours. Examples (friendship level): Best friends = 2 days; acquaintences = 4 hours.
I think relationship level controlling would be nice. It would totally fix the toddler thing specially cause it seems like I have to introduce my toddler to the extended family every effing time they come to my place

Yes to all the CAS complaints, especially saving outfits. Have you ever made an outfit in everyday and decide it'd be better as party wear, or hot weather wear, etc. And then you have to recreate it piece by piece. And sometimes I like to just play dress up and it'd be awesome to save the outfits to use later on other Sims.
I'd love collection folders for both BB and CAS, and for objects in the catelog to be tagged with key words. Too many objects have stupid "witty" names so never show up in searches.
The object names are so stupid like i have to type “super wicked rad bad cool posters” into my computer with a straight face
Mine is STOP GETTING GLASSES OF WATER. If you leave them idle for 2 seconds they will go get a glass of water. Drives me mad. And random strangers just coming in your house all the time (usually to also get water), is a real pain in the ars3. Also, using a different sink that's miles away after using the toilet.

My sims literally never met their grandparents bc of one of the storylines in a challenge... those kids were sad for DAYS. THEY NEVER MET THESE PEOPLE
Toddler care in general is so difficult. Parents will take forever to put their child in the hi-chair for a meal, only to take them out before they actually start eating the food >.
This is so annoying especially when the notification saying 'the child is gonna be taken away' pops up. I get so stressed

You basically can't get anything done with them. Which is very difficult when you're trying to get all the milestones. Or you leave them for a minute and all the sudden they are trying to try to go to sleep. I feel like that should only happen when their bar is in at least the yellow. I get that babies need a lot more sleep, but then it just should be an energy bar that goes down faster.
If I try to make the a family of sims eat at the same time, a parent will put the toddler in the high chair, and the other will put the child down and then eat the toddler’s food INSTEAD of their own.

What angers me is when their mood changes every 2 second so you hear so many "mood" songs it becomes so annoying. And I hate how they overreact, like can't they just not act like absolute lunatics for once? Annoying.
For me one of the most annoying things is how paintings and posters/decals are in the same category, it makes it so hard to find anything. Also laundry things are so difficult to find for some reason. Another thing is how when you travel or load into a save i wish it would start paused instead of playing straight away cause sometimes i click off the screen or do something else during the loading screen and then forget about the game and all of a sudden all my sims are dead.
I always just search the word "laundry" and it brings up most things. But it is annoying I agree.
If you pause before you exit it will be paused when you re load

a small thing that gets under my skin is when a sim cooks a party/grand meal, finishes cooking it, and immediately takes a plate, thus not taking a plate with everyone else and not eating with everyone else. i wish the autonomy would realize the party/grand meal is meant to be eaten with others and stop from immediately eating. idk how this would be accomplished but it drives me mad when my sims can't have dinners as a family bc the parent that cooked has already eaten lol
right, and if you then want to "call to meal", they must put down the plate and then they grab a new plate, thus wasting the plate they already grabbed!
WHY is it not an option to separate the meals into plates yourself, so you can set them all on a table you want them to eat at, since sims have such a hard time eating together. So ironic that that’s exactly what they advertised as being so special about the sims 4 and it STILL DOESN’T EVEN WORK PROPERLY!

The thing that gets me is if you want to talk to a far away sim, one of the sims just freezes and stands there and can't do anything until you're close enough to start the conversation. It's slightly preferable to them walking off the lot, but really frustrating that your sim has to just stand there and wait instead of like, eating, or doing dishes, or maybe walking over to meet them halfway? Literally anything besides doing their best scarecrow impression.

This one actually is possible in game, although does require bringing up the cheat console in game. For example, I think the cheat for turning the sim into a vampire instantly is something like traits.equip_trait trait_OccultVampire. There are similar cheats for other occults.
I always thought I was just dumb that I couldn't find the button for the occult thing because surely they would have included that because... it's so obvious that we'd need that option. But nope, guess we're not allowed to change our minds lol. Now I just use MCCC after character creation and change the sim into whatever occult or just normal as needed since I don't want to redo character creation.
But sims can be turned into vampires/werewolves by an existing vampire/werewolf in-game? I don't really understand those two gripes specifically. But definitely for spellcasters and mermaids and any other occult I might be forgetting

Ive actually found that even with lilmssams sleep mod, my sims will still wake up to check infants, actually. infants, babies crying (god forbid, honestly) will still actually interrupt their sleep - but recently, like a month ago, i installed a mod that let them cuddle in bed, cuz honestly i was just missing it from the earlier games, and it actually refuses to let another action interrupt sleep through the cuddle action!!! ive never been more happy in my LIFE to ignore and neglect children, honestly!

It’s frustrating when I find a beautiful 40x30 gallery build that I want to place somewhere, only to realize the way the lot is facing actually needs a 30x40 build.

I think there should be black, white, grey, light wood, dark wood and an in-between wood tone swatches for every item in build buy as standard. Everything will be able to go together and there won't be mismatched wood tones for items that are supposed to be a set if there was the same standard swatches.

I don't know if anyone else gets this, but all my sims live in a beautiful, huge gothic mansion. The uncle has his own room, and for some reason, every night, ALL the other family members go straight to HIS bathroom to use his sink for WATER. There are like TEN sinks, and they all lock onto his for some reason 😭 I shouldn't have to lock his door every time he goes to sleep

You could lock his bathroom for everyone but himself. That way you wont have to redo it over and over it will always just be used by him. I do this for certain bathrooms in my game.
I've heard that Sims path to the highest "value" item on the lot ... Not sure if that means price or something else like buffs such as comfortable. I would try downgrading the sink in the uncle's bathroom and/or upgrading the other ones you would prefer they use.

I hate not being able to apply things in CAS to each outfit, like glasses or piercings. It’s sooooo annoying having to find each thing every time.
There is an off the grid section, you have to go through the objects by function tab and its a categiry called "off the grid" and it even has each type of object categorized by function (like lighting and plumbing are separate categories)
(Couldn't find anyone talking abt this so I'll say it) Off-the-grid objects actually have their own tab in the Objects-menu (the one with "Comfort, Lighting, Decor" etc)! I believe I have also seen something similar for treehouse objects in a video, but I don't have the pack so I'm not sure.
Edit: What I would _love_ to have in CAS are the "save custom look" and sorting options Jessie talks about, but also a "hide this item" option. There are a lot of CAS items I never use bc they are so damn fugly, and having to scroll through them is a chore and makes CAS all the more annoying to work with. I don't have the motivation to dress my sims cute bc I have to sift through tons of items (and, with the menu having only 2 columns w/o mods.. I mean come onnnnn)
ALSO the option to permanently take off the "clothing type" (or whatever it is, next to the "sort by color" etc menu) tag without having to click that tiny x every single time in every single clothing tab for every single sim, is much needed. I don't need my earrings to be sorted by if they are pyjamas-appropriate or not, I can decide on that myself, tyvm!!

the talking/eating thing definitely impacts general time management, my sims always barely make it to work by the skin of their teeth because they took 3 hours wandering around the house playing musical chairs while eating
also the 3+way conversation thing was a completely useless addition, its so broken and playing previous games feels so much more focused. juggling multiple sims in a conversation is tedious anyway
The cabinets being bigger than the end counters drives me nuts. I usually use open shelves at the end so I can line them up more easily, but I don't understand why they don't design then to match??? I also wish that things like paintings/rugs would have more viewing options. There are so many different styles buried within individual paintings/rugs and its hard to remember they exist -- I think it would be useful to view all swatches individually for those. And whyyyy isn't there a sort by size option.

You can kind of do this by going into a section (like chairs) and then filtering by colour and click select all, it'll show all the swatches separately but its VERY annoying to scroll through

4:07 theres a great mod that Spinningplumbobs made if you want more stuff to do with the mermaids called "expanded mermaids" which adds stuff like mermaid rank and mermaid mythology skills, weaknesses and perks you develop as u develop ur skill, and also adds sea witches (which you can become yourself).
Also heavily agree on pretty much everything youve said in this video, ESPECIALLY that you can't change an existing sim to occult without commands or the actual gameplay triggers that cause them to change
The constantly being sad over a sim who passed drives me up the wall, especially when their entire queue is them crying at the urn/grave. One sim in particular who was an evil sim kept running into the backyard to cry over the grave of a household member she wasn't even close with. It was doubly aggravating because she's also a vampire and would do this all the time including when it's sunny out. Then when I moved a new sim (who was also evil and a vampire) in she started doing it as well even though she never met the sim who passed.
Yesss the vampires get on my nerves when they keep going outside in the sun even though they are clearly dying.
You should only cry for family and close friends imo. Because if you ever dealt with loss and are emotional like me you will cry all the time thinking about them :( the sadness lasting ages is too real.
Under general build buy: I WANT A LOCK BUTTON AFTER IVE CHOSEN TO FILTER THRU PACKS. I hate that I have to get in the habit of not using the eyedropper tool while doing limited pack builds so it doesnt revert back to nothing selected. Grinds me gears man.
Some things that irk me:
When my two dating/married couple sims are eating and they have any interaction THAT CAN BE DONE SITTING! They stop eating, get up to kiss each other, then stand there eating 😑
My sims can cook a meal and will eat standing up, by the time I direct them to sit down they not only take their sweet time to acknowledge I gave them a command but sit down with an empty plate cause they finished eating….
Idk if anyone else has this but now I’m left wondering if my sims are going to do what I told them to do because so often they’re just standing there and eventually go do it….
I hate the likes/dislikes….my sim will wake up at 3am pissed off because he hates the computer desk but sorry bud it’s the only one we can afford right now 😅 But now he’s angry with the world and lashes out at everyone ughh so annoying

I actually noticed that the sims waking up and going to work can get interrupted without you getting any say on it because they walk into a corner of the living room to appreciate the lamp because it's queen anne style or something. I've stopped giving my sims furniture preferences because of this. Too many times they just immediately came back from work with like getting paid 3 simoleons :/

Totally agree. It’s absolutely ridiculous how they (the townies) are everywhere and basically in your face. One actually flirted with my date and they flirted back so I abandoned the date and left them. It’s on annoying at that point. 😂😂😂

i was recently playing Cottage Living and the jobs you can do for your townies have specific interactions, but it took me FOREVER to find them because they wouldn't show up in the first menu.

Romancing sims is way harder with the new menu because the only appropriate options that show up for me now until you get to a certain romance level is compliment appearance and flirt and the sims get annoyed if you repeat them too many times. Also there used to be social interactions you could only do while sitting down like make out and snuggle that have completely disappeared for me with the new pie menu
This! When it says “get to know” such and such but there’s no other option besides “check in on” so and so. It’s so confusing.
Would love a minimap option for when you're out the house and it has icons on the edges showing what directions different attractions are in, as a mini solve for the last point.
These points are so damn legit. It annoys me so much that a lot of these small things are not even properly done in The Sims 4.
I had someone die of old age during the welcome wagon. ALL my sims said to them is hello and then she was sad for AGES after. She had sad from the person passing away AND from witnessing a death. Because she died in my house, I was also left with her tombstone. So annoying. I had her bring it back to the family of the dead sim so I didn’t have to deal with her ghost.

Yes please! My workaround for this issue was to make rooms with room-specific clutter and save them to my library
I hate that since Sims CAN multitask, they INSIST on multitasking. They will be running late to school and I tell them to have a quick meal, and then they walk across the entire lot so they can go sit next to another sim and talk to them while they eat. Just sit at the table! Go to school! Stop carrying your toast around for 45 minutes!
A small thing I hate is that I have to redo the make up every outfit. I can't lock it like in sims 3?! I'll pick a random sim and they'll have the same obnoxious bright lipstick for every outfit unless i change it. there's not even a "remove on all" or whatever.
I hate that not all lots are directly connected to roads. On many of them, there's always that annoying gap that makes a path leading up to the house look stupid.
Biggest thing that annoys me is that moveobjects should be a toggle. Seriously, the Sims Team knows how big the building community is, and that most people use moveobjects. Why not make it a toggle? Why do we have to type it in every. single. time??

I think they should at least let us just type in "cheats" to the bar when we get it up so we can see the complete list with names instead of having to go search for it if we've forgotten

I installed the organized debug and better build mods just because of this. The better build have the moveobjects toggle and you can select to show or hidden the live and debug items too
hey girl! all of the occults have a gameplay path to become one, but because of that you should totally be able to make them occult in cas full edit mode.

vampire: ask to be turned by a vamp
spellcaster: collect the seven magic mote things by the portal
werewolf: ask to be bitten!
alien: this is the only path where you have to start out as an alien no matter what:/ but you can have alien kids ofc

- Why do we need to make a sim in order to start a new game?
- When you click on Load Save, it goes straight to the menu but when you exit the Load Save menu, you are given a loading screen. Why is that?
- Why is the story tell thingy is the default CAS?
- What's the difference between Clutter and Misc Decor?
- Why is the washing machine and dryer is in the Indoor Activities section but the hamper and everything is in the bathroom clutter?
- Why is the bug of sim obsessively drinking water back in the game?
- and Why is the infant still so bugged to hell?
the first one YESS!!! townies are so fun to play with but it sucks having to go create a whole ass rando

completely agree with the first one, when i tried it out i just wanted to see what building a house was like and it was so frustrating having to make a sim bc i didnt know you couldnt just make a save with no active household
my sims always randomly wake up and go and drink water, if theres any coffee machines around theyll always make some of that too.

When you are on the gallery and you select the packs you have but it still shows building from packs you don't have. When you are harvesting or selling fruits from your garden and they all end up in your family inventory or plants suddenly disappear even though it's in the house /green house or it's still in season.
Oh my god that gallery one is so annoying. It's not meant to be like that, it's just broken and EA are never going to fix it because sims youtubers own all the packs and don't even realise it's a problem

Yes! I really miss the custom collections you could create in Sims 3. Such a time saver when you're trying to decorate a home with a specific look that you want.
Totally agree about the category sorting in BB (i.e. suitable for toddlers, placable on treehouse etc) but just in case anyone wasn't aware, there is an option for off the grid options if you go to search by category instead of search by room, which is then broken down into off-the-grid lighting, plumbing, activities etc.

I used to do this when I got obsessed with ballet shows or movies, in the end is just the autism everytime lol
One thing that ships my sink is that I waste so much time trying to find clutter for the kitchen/bathroom/laundry room/bedroom/etc because there's absolutely no logic in the clutter category... I just ended up making rooms like "kitchen clutter", "bathroom clutter" and saved them to my library but the downside is that I need to update it whenever a new pack comes out.

YES!!! Weren't we able to set the same makeup look to all outfits in the sim 3? And also nails. We should be able to set the name nail color/style for all outfits imo.

11:28 for sleeping specifically I miss the sims 2 where you could drag their task longer so they would wake up at a normal time like 7am or something

The plants resetting when it's time to evolve them or when you have to fertilize them or when you travel to the museum and then back to your house ANNOYS ME SO DAMN MUCH and this applies to the plants around your neighborhood like UGH
There are so many small things that can thankfully be fixed by mods. I still wish we could build diagonal stairs and connect different foundation heights more easily. I‘d also like a sort of MC Dresser function in CAS, where items can be blacklisted / whitelisted for Townies.
I do believe that’s possible with the MCCommand mod
I hate that social workers don’t exist in TS4. When a child gets taken away, they just *poof* disappear, it’s so anticlimactic.
I also completely agree with the occults in CAS! And as other have said, the accessories! We should be able to apply to all outfit categories, same with makeup.
My biggest pet peeve is that literally lose my mind on townies when I’m trying to do historical saves. I will delete everyone and spawn in my own townies and then the game just creates random homeless sims. Even turning off the spawning they still show up. 😭
Eta. I also hate trying to find collectibles. Cannot stand it. Got a mod to find them for me bc I can’t do it
