Just discovered you guys the other day and have binged almost all your videos! My fiancé’s mom wears Moabs and loves them! I wear high top salomons because I am notorious for rolling my ankles. They are a little too much for day hikes but better than breaking an ankle in the woods. Keep up the great content!
Giselle used to have so much trouble with ankles too! Sometimes that extra support really helps :) AWWW Thank you for the love!
You mentioned your shoes coming untied.. my hack for that when hiking and backpacking has been the berluti knot. There tons of tutorials on how to tie it, but it's been the absolute best go to for this stuff🤙🏼
Thank you for the recommendation Nate! We are going to have to try it out!
I just discovered your channel and I love it!! My goal this year is to do one hike a month! I’m very much a beginner. I live in Fresno, Ca so all the national parks are so close! I’m very excited to get started and will definitely be coming back to your channel for more suggestions and tips. Thank you! Your videos are super informative! :)
Awe we love that! That's a great goal! Happy to have you following along! :)
Haha those La Sportivas are USED. But that is exactly what they are for and they look well-loved. Definitely a fan of a good waterproof shoe. Thanks for sharing your thoughts and recommendations, guys! Also, so stoked for the growth you guys are seeing. It is definitely well deserved and we are excited to continue following your journeys. Keep it up, guys. Here's to 2021!
To help with the lacing from untying, use clear nail polish on the sides of the strings to create traction on them.
That is a great idea! Thank you!
Living in Portland with a factory store near by, I’ve always been a walking (hiking) Columbia advertisement. I’ve had good luck with their boots. They last forever, I usually only replace them because of advancements in their tech in the new products, not because they fall apart. Their outdry low top is current day hike shoe, thinking about getting the high top version for extra ankle support for a heavy pack multi day trips (I think they call them the peak freaks). Im going to compare it to your Maob 2 recommendation. Cool channel dudes 🤙
Thank you! We love the columbia shoes too! We need to update this video with the new shoes we are using daily!
Hi guys ! So, which ones would you recommend for easy hikes (not more than 4 miles) around Denver? Budget friendly because I will probably not use them again? thanks !!
We highly recommend the Merrell Moab shoes! They are very affordable and a great entry level shoe!
Searched Columbia Review and there you are. You too are adorable. Waiting for my pup to get fully vaccinated (she is just 11 weeks) and we are off. Want to have the best ankle support due to rolling mine in Yosemite. Thanks for your content. Thumbed up and Subbed.
You will love them!! They're still one of my go tos! Have so much fun exploring with your pup!
Hey, would you say that the Columbia's are breathable? I need some hiking boots that will be comfortable in high temperatures :)
Yes the Columbia boots are phenomenal!
This would have been a great video to watch prior to doing the Echo Canyon hike at Camelback Mountain hahah our shoes were NOT equipped for that uneven and steep terrain!! hahah
AH oh no!! Yeah the right shoes makes all the difference!
has anyone told you that you look like James Franco?
ALL THE TIME LOL
pretty girl
Aww thank you!
