  • This is one of my favorite things to do with a perfect faro shuffle. It involves a 52 card deck and cutting the cards exactly at 26 each time. Check out my video blog post if you want to learn the Secret To Learning The Faro Shuffle.

I'm getting a ton of great comments. Thank you! I do want to address some of the skeptics. :) The video is not in reverse. I did speed up a few slow spots to keep it quick, but it's 100% legit. No other edits. If you think about it, it's not possible in reverse. Literally would be more amazing. My mind would be blown. 💥 lol😂

@@SeattleMagician You write the words first on a unshuffled deck,
then you do your first pharaoh shuffle,
then you start recording adding that little mark in the beginning, so it seems like you wrote all those lines,
then the first pharaoh shuffle is actually the second shuffle,
three shuffles' later back to an unshuffled deck... so I'm I right?

Maybe if it went from “unshuffled” to completely scrambled you’d have a point, but the “unshuffled” split but was still legible, then split more but still spelt “unshuffled”, then scrambled but still together. No matter how you look at it, this would be impossible for any random person to be able to do without tons of practice.

    • @bigmeatswangin5837
      @bigmeatswangin5837 7 місяців тому +159

No he really isnt. The cards are arranged beforehand and carefully realigned as he "unshuffles" the deck. Every truly shuffled deck of cards is a unique shuffle. That is a mathematical fact, as the possible number of ways to order a pack of cards is 8x10^67. For reference, there are about 2.4x10^67 atoms in the Milky Way Galaxy. Therefore, its statistically impossible this deck was a unique shuffle before or after he began moving cards.

The beautiful part is that there's no trick to the deck, and no sleight of hand. (The perfect shuffle is the hard part.) You can try it yourself if you want, just do a manual "perfect shuffle".
Setup is easy: write a word or picture, then do the reverse of a few perfect, 1-for-1 shuffles. (deal from the bottom of the deck into 2 piles, stack the piles, repeat.)
They key insight is this: For every shuffle, the cards in each half of the deck are vertically separated from each other the same amount, then the 2 halves come together to close each other's gaps.
Short word vertically expands to a tall word at 1/2 density, then is interlaced with a copy of itself to fill the gaps.
      Watch slowly for clarity.
Very cool effect, might not call it "the most impressive magic trick" though lol.

He made a little mark with the sharpie to give the illusion he just wrote it now, and used the shuffling trick to reorder the entire deck back to normal. Makes it appear as though he also knew how to write the letters in a way that it would come out like that.

Everytime he split the cards into 2 decks, the more UNSHUFFLED words he got. He just need to show it in the video how he reverse the shuffled card to became the unshuffled card.
Having said that, he's done it perfectly!

Props to the Creator and the person doing the trick for sure. The perfect split and shuffle is definitely a skill and it's not magical it's just a really good skill. What a lot of people are probably missing though is that in order for this trick to work correctly the original card setup has to be a certain way - can't just be totally random mix of cards.
