"The Shadow" lol.. I was extremely suspicious and somewhat afraid of shadows for a brief period as a kid. My grandma used to sometimes answer unanswerable questions, like where a lost item went, who did something no one saw, with "Only The Shadow knows".. For a time, I was like... Why do the shadows know? Are they watching us? Do they know ALL the secrets? Why are they watching? Why won't they tell? I didn't get it. Anyway, I grew up and figured out what shadows were and just forgot about it. Later I found out The Shadow was a TV character from like, over half a century before I was born, that my grandma remembered from her childhood. The show's catchphrase was, "Only The Shadow knows!" The Shadow was the crime fighting alter ego of the main character. Like Peter Parker and Spiderman or Clark Kent and Superman. He wore a fedora and a cape. Looks like this kid's parents had parents who watched The Shadow too lol. Or whoever authored this seemingly unbelievable story.
