“Pass the beans will ya’!”…the way Debra delivered that line cracked me up.
What about:”It’s been three months!!!”?
Amy and Debra are in two different stages of life. Amy is newlywed and Debra is in the war zone of raising a family. That is real life!!!!! And Marie and Frank are amazed they survived.
Robert's face at the end XD
But seriously, 3 months of marriage is nothing to showboat about. I get that they're overjoyed and happy but that doesn't make their marriage more superior than others...
True, but poor Rob has had to put up with so much crap from his family I'll give him a pass. 😅
That face says “Why would you do that?😨”
Sometimes, Robert creates his own problems, as well as instigating BS with his brother.
That's what was brilliant about this show, though. All fictional characters and stories and yet - we ALL know people who are exactly like this.
I forgot to mention, I agree with JDK's point in regards to Robert's and Amy's marriage not being superior to others. Three months doesn't mean squat compared to the other married Barone family members and the struggles that they have gone through over the years.
“Yes, this is unseemly “ made me laugh out loud while sitting alone 😂
Frank's right, one chicken is not enough for six adults
True. I can skeletonize half a rotisserie chicken in one sitting, then finish it off later that day.
Especially when one of them is Robert. Even a 9lb roaster would be pushing it.
There's always White Castles.🤣
Maybe a Cornish game hen for each person and they can pass the veggies potatoes etc like family style
Marital Veterans: Marie and Frank
Marital Exprience: Debra and Ray
Marital Rookies: Amy and Robert
You know that it’s bad when even Frank says “it’s unseemly”!
😂
Marie: You want some real marriage advice? I'm gonna give you the secret. There's gonna be yelling! There's gonna be anger! Don't fight it, accept it! You love him, you hate him. He disgusts you, look how he eats. You keep your head down, and you plow through!
Frank: Amen!
Amy: But Marie, you said "hate". How can hate have any place in a marriage?
Marie: You make room. There's gonna be hate. Hate is real. Marriage is real. We may fight... but we're okay with each other. And you know why? We've endured, we have been through it all. And now...
Frank: We're waiting for death!
Marie: Not that we're in a rush.
Frank: Fair enough.
Marie: That's a marriage.
I mean she has a point 😂
@@c.barrett5114and ending up in mental hospitals
The only issue I have is that why s the man the ‘one that disgust you that makes you hate’ why is the man always the one depicted as the screw up immature? In real life there are plenty of good husbands and fathers out there, why does tv always depict the screw up father? It’s sexist and I hate it. Marie is far from perfect and a saint so she shouldn’t be so critical of frank.
“90 days, the usual sentence for vagrancy”
Lol such a cop thing to say
I wanted to see Marie’s speech about marriage
Best part:- " yes, this is so Unseemly "
😅 😅 😅 😅 😅
Man Robert’s face haha
Robert's face was my face hearing that. I turned around to my phone mid breakfast 😂😂😂
Debra is mad because Amy is giving her martial advice. Ray responded, “Unless it’s more sex. How dare her?”
Typical guy answer. 😂😂
That look on his face 😳 says at 4:52 “Why did you do that?!”
It just shows he wanted to feel superior to Ray again. He clearly couldn’t care less about their marriage as long as his was better.
@@12Blueace That sounds like narcissistic thinking. Narcissism runs in the family especially Marie and Ray (well, mostly Marie 😒).
@@brittanyc.4540 We need to be all like Frank. With a beer in one hand and the other down our pants while watching tv, being as careless as you can be in this world.
@@Greendalewitch Thanks for the advice and yes, I’m more like Frank.
Roberts face 😂 he always want to be in a competition and it always back fires on him
I know, right? He thinks his marriage is better than Ray's solely because he doesn't bicker with his wife over every little thing.
PASS THE BEANS , WILL U. HAHAHA
20yrs ago, never understood wat Marie meant but now agree with everything she said!
it was a very inappropiate gift. 😂
When you’ve only been married for three months, you’re not in any position to give marital advice to anybody. You’re still newlyweds at that point. That’s like giving parental advice while you’re cutting your first child umbilical cord.
The lady in the front row laughed at _every_ joke!
Amy & Frank were my favorite characters on this show 😂
This is like the guy who's been at the gym 3 days who keeps telling everyone to correct their form when no one asked.
“This is unseemly!”
Man Frank carried the show dingy single handed
The way Frank delivered that line made me smile. He can be so coarse, yet that was such a genteel comment. Loved it!!
I think caused Frank's "It's unseemly" almost caused Marie and Ray to break.
This episode, Season 8, Episode 4 (“Misery Loves Company”) is one of my favorite episodes of Everybody Loves Raymond. What’s missing here is Marie’s speech!
Marie: Now you listen to me. Maybe you could all use some advice from someone who’s in a position to give it.
Debra (murmurs): See what you did Amy?
Marie: You think we have nothing to offer? We’ve been married 46 years. We’ve seen the lows, we’ve seen the highs.
Frank: What day was the high? 😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂
Marie: You two (looking at Robert and Amy), you’re newlyweds. You’re in love, God bless you, you know nothing. (Turns to Ray and Debra) And you two, you’re always fighting. And the reason you get so upset is because you think that there’s something wrong with that. Look at us. This is experience. This is wisdom.
Frank: This is juicy. (Munching on his chicken leg) 😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂
Marie: You want some real marriage advice? I’m going to give you the secret now. There’s going to be yelling. There’s going to be anger. Don’t fight it, accept it. You love him, you hate him. He disgusts you, look how he eats. You keep your head down and you plow through.
Frank: Amen!
Amy: But Marie, you said hate. How can hate have any place in a marriage?
Marie: You make room. There’s going to be hate because hate is real. Marriage is real. We may fight, but we’re okay with each other. Do you know why? We’ve endured. We have been through it all. And now?
Frank: We’re waiting for death. 😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂
Marie: Not that we’re in a rush.
Frank: Fair enough.
Marie: That’s a marriage.
Robert face at 4:52 LOL
That's an "Oh f*** no...." face. 😅
Unless you're Kim Kardashian, three months of marriage is nothing to boast about
It is also interesting how Debra and Amy are really good friends in this show and they are opposite from each other. Amy’s more like what people would probably perceive as uppity and Debra is more of the no nonsense type of person. Has anyone else caught this about them? Also even though Debra finds Marie overbearing Debra is actually like Marie more than she thinks. Marie is constantly nagging at Frank. Hahaha but it does make for comedy. Lol😂
Robert did become pretty obnoxious at times after he got married. And Amy looks at Marie and Debra's marriages and assumes she knows better? It's ridiculous. 😂
And she doesn’t see fault either. 🤣
I love that so much show so so much
It seems like here and I know it is a show but Amy seems like that person that is so eager to see if something will work for someone. Especially when she tells Debra she has to accept the park talking about the book. Her pressed lips and raised eyebrows. Lol
Debra saying she should poison Ray’s food even though it is a line that was pretty extreme. That whole thing where both of them kind of argued you could tell in Ray’s face he was not happy and fed up with her attitude.
I love everybody loves Raymond my favorite TV show ❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️📡📡📡📺📺📺📡📡📡📡📺📺📡📡📡📡📡📡📡📺📺📺📺📺📺📺📡📡📡📡📡
I don't think there's ever an episode where debra doesn't get angry
Menopause is a real mood killer
Maybe an episode in season 1 lol.
With such a husband and in-laws, it's no wonder she went insane. 😅
It’s valid
And yet, Debra believed that it was a great idea to buy the house across from Ray's parents, and having them nearby was the selling point.
😂fantastic
never noticed how beautiful Debra's nose is.
From the side, it's perfect.
She’s a beautiful lady
Really, truth is Debra is as hot as fuck all over especially when they allowed her to be more feminine with her hair and make up.
She looked like a boy in the earlier episodes.
Very true 👍🏼,
It's like I'm telling my dad how to take care, run a family and 💰save for the future.
××××× NEVER ×××××
I will point out something that is ironic and funny. In a few episodes earlier Debra said maybe she wanted what Robert and Amy had.
Amy looks soooo delectable
Anyone think it’s very strange for Robert and Amy using a marriage book 3 months into their marriage?
I once gave my last ex the same look as that one Robert gave Amy at the end. Different reason though
Ooooohhhhhh nnnnooooo she didn't!!!
Nothing wrong with a book suggestion everyone relax
Ah, a sure sign of a new bride. She hasn't picked up on her husband's intentions and facial expressions yet to be on the same page at all times. Ray and Debra were right. They're idiots. Much left to learn, yet they have the gall to try and tell others with more experience how to get a happier marriage.
Is that a real book?
I don't think Amy meant bad when she gave the book to Debra. She thinks married couple can learn something from the book so she wants to share them. Not sure why Debra is so offended😢
I think it was her tone. She was talking to Debra with such pity. I'm sure she didn't intend it, but it came off rather condescending.
I know, Amy’s facial expressions are so cringe, it’s funny!
This episode was genuinely dumb. Robert made no sense. Did the writters forget hes been married before to Joanne, and that it became a disaster? Youd think hed understand right away that marriage isnt all good stuff.
Great point.
I feel like Debra and Ray just weren’t in the best place at in their marriage. Yes I know it ain’t all just posies flowers, pillows, and rainbows. Maybe we are just a generation that is less able to handle hardship
I don’t care what anyone says. Amy was hot af
Really?
Debra and Raymond were horrible here
I used to think Debra/Patricia Heaton was gorgeous... I still do when I watch the re-runs on channel 4... Obviously she's a lot older now but when she was in this she was beautiful
She's hardly going to look the same is she? It's called getting old. It's gonna happen to you too
Funny how Amy thinks shes all wise regarding marriage when she was desperate to get married with the first guy she saw when she first appeared in the show. Honestly, I feel Amy in the long run would be like a mom to Robert. Always telling him how he shoyld behave around people and specially ray since he seems to be the focus of robert. Like we all know robert is the one jealous of ray and what he has but now says ray is the jealous one.
Amy is more uppity in a funny way.
1:36 “These two idiots.”
No, Ray, you and Debra (well, mostly you 😒) are the idiots.
Well, he and Debra can be idiots and still be right about others being idiots too. And they were. Robert and Amy were being particularly idiotic this episode. The gall it would take for someone with only 3 months experience to tell someone with years and years of experience how to do it better. Robert in particular should know better, because he'd been married before that and has personally seen what a decline into divorce is like, so he knows the start of marriage is always roses and sunshine before an inevitable decline. Ideally, the couple levels out before the decline gets too bad (like Frank and Marie did), but of everyone present at the table, Robert should know best what happens when the decline doesn't level out.
Ray and Debra were right. They're idiots.
I can honestly say " I'm not interested in that subject." R.I.P. Frank, you were my spirit guide of the t.v. land.
There's one annoying lady laughing
