Should have been suspended during investigation. What redress to his victims get? Long term work related stress and eventual resignations for their own mental health after classic burnout ?

Raab said he would resign if his behaviour was found to be bullying. His behaviour was found to be unacceptable, and yet he took a long time to hand in his letter of resignation.
I'm not sure that suggests that he accepted the findings.
Far from it. Raab remains unapologetic and unrepentant. Raab had both openly and implicitly accused the civil servants of being snowflakes, yet he whines about his predicament, refused to apologise, blame and scapegoat everyone else but himself for his own karma, cannot stand any criticism against him, and generally act like a brat throwing a tantrum. I can't help but wonder who is the REAL snowflake here.
He didn't resign and he didn't accept anything. HE WAS SACKED.
Yes, I do understand that he submitted a letter of resignation to Sunak and that Sunak hasn't said he was sacked. But that was almost a full day after the report was given to Sunak and Raab. Raab spent all of the intervening time fighting to hold on to his post. Sunak declined to stand by him.

Aggressive people choose who sees their true nature
This video is a perfect example of the politicians' party political clubs. Raab is the epitome of what is wrong in Westminster; he is a paid up member of the 'society of the blind fighting the blind' and he needed to go whatever the route. Hague's half hearted attempt to defend his friend is so pathetic, it makes me despair of the whole sorry lot of them.
I don't know what the answer is, but wholesale change is needed desperately, before the country really does drop to its knees.
Raab's public comments about Courts, suggests to me that he has, at best, a very authoritarian attitude and probably doesn't respect the idea that some of the things he wanted done might not be consistent with the law.

Hauge: Raab didn't "resign". He was fired but was allowed to "resign" to make it look better.
Having worked in the civil service, I never encountered anyone of any quality. Ones I knew were just marking time until pension day at 60. I suspect any kind of energetic with any goals boss would find it deeply frustrating.
I witnessed repeated long-term sick on full pay at the drop of the hat followed by occy health and light duties, more sick leave, occy health, light dutes, rinse and repeat. If you were in the union it's a cushy job for life... Bumped into a former colleague yesterday and he says he doesn't have enough work most days and gets a bit bored!
I'm in the private sector now and I wish I had spare time.

Paid the price no person should go to work and come home in tears and the sad thing is not one ounce from him or his colleagues is an acceptance that there should always be dignity in the work place
@Steve P no just what I read in press and may not be true but I believe that everyone should be treated with respect at all times from the CEO to cleaners door staff everyone and can’t abide bullying off any sort and mr raab has received a fair amount of complaints and certainly isn’t showing any remorse unfortunately there are people in this world that believe because they have a lot of power people in lesser positions are below them which I personally find disgusting

It's all part of the syndrome that Tories believe they are never wrong. Liz Truss is currently giving speeches touting her economic policies. You cannot get through to these people that their behaviour is appalling and their policies are disastrous.
Having worked with civil servants in the DTp and the MoD I sympathise with Raab that the very idea of a work ethic is seen as bullying in the civil service as evidence by the lady interviewee. Usual slanted Channel 4 interview. Going back to the days of Tony Benn in the 70s he complained that civil servants deliberatly resisted efforts of the government to introduce legislation. The civil service are making this country ungovernable.

I would like to see specific examples of what is considered to be bullying behaviour in some of these cases, and get an idea of how bad or not they really are.

Search for the Tolley report, follow the link and read it. It lays out what kind of behaviour is considered bullying, and then sets out the behaviour that was (and indeed was not) considered bullying.

Raab's argument, that it's a matter of interpretation as to whether his management "style" was bullying, does not stand up. He was taken aside by senior public servants and told his behaviour was distressing members of his staff and he chose not to change. So, he knew how others were interpreting his behaviour and he shouldn't now pretend to be surprised by the findings of the inquiry.
What we need to do is return to a form of serfdom in this country where people below a certain tax bracket do what they are told by their elders and betters, even if that instruction may prove contrary to other instructions issued by the same person. It is only right and proper that we move this motion at the earliest convenience because that is what the British people want. They all told me so yesterday.
My own view is that these Civil Servants should try working for a living. They seem to have forgotten who they work for.

It's always been that way. You never hear anyone talking about the warm, fluffy side of Vladimir Putin or Kim Jong Un. Nobody ever mentioned Adolf Hitler's passion for flower arranging and knitting babies' booties. It's all so unfair.

I don’t believe his comments made after his resignation have been honourable at all. It gives the impression that he was reluctant to resign and in the face of overwhelming evidence against him he still doesn’t regard himself as a bully and has no remorse and no intention of apologising for his past conduct. He needs to consider then how it is that so many complaints were made about him.

Eh? The labour politician actually said that “we have all got things to learn” because the civil service taught her that the hours she put in “were intimidating to them”. Seriously? If her - somewhat vain - anecdote is to be believed, then it tells me Dominic Raab most definitely has a point. This is what the once impressive civil service has now descended to; complaining that hard working politicians make them feel bad about themselves! And this is what Labour politicians have come to, literally believing that if hard work intimidates people you should back off to spare their feelings.
You must have been watching a different video to me. Diane Hayter was never a Member of Parliament so she is not a politician. She has never represented any constituency or seat but she is a member of the House of Lords. In much the same way that the Tories gave Evgeny Lebedev a peerage, labour gave her one.
I don’t see where she suggested that anyone back off doing ‘hard work’ but in reality, Dominic Raab remained on a beach sunning himself whilst Kabul fell, although he did manage to get a lot of dogs repatriated. Hard work may not be the first phrase that comes to mind when discussing the career of Dominic Raab. He spent a couple of months in each of the Government Departments he held yet he has received complaints from right across Whitehall. How do you explain that?

If Tory Boris Johnson was still there he probably would have binned the report like he did with the report on Priti Patel by the ethics advisor Sir Alex Allan that said that Priti Patel broke the ministerial code.
Sir Alex Allan said the home secretary's conduct "amounted to behaviour that can be discribed as bullying"
After Boris Johnson ignored the report Priti Patel didn't resign and the ethics advisor Sir Alex Allan resigned.
A civil servant Sir Philip Rutnam received £340,000 plus legal costs at an employment tribunal in a settlement after he resigned because of the bullying.
Do we still have to stay indoors to protect the NHS.
A Minister up to his brief has no need to intimidate and bully. Raab brought shame to this country by staying on holiday while Kabul fell to the Taliban, and abandoned or allies.

There’s way too many ‘thin skinned’ people in the work environment nowadays ......when a person is employed to get a job down and your subordinates are lacking and are held accountable it’s so easy to say “Ooo I feel bullied!” ......he got hung out to dry imo
Thin skinned or used to courteous ,mature and respectful behaviour even when criticised.
All these Raab types just have massive egos, and minimal interest in introspection and/or adapting. I blame the public school 'system'. (Yes, he went to Challoners, which is not exactly a 'Public School', but it tried very hard to emulate one.)
