I live in high desert mountains so it can go from 85 'F to random snow storm in the middle of June. We have also had snow storms in July, but the snow is usually melted within a few hours.

Thanks! I've lived in zone4 most of my life (I'm 34) and have only seen snow once in June when I was a child, it was just a few snow flakes. BUT snow in May is common.

Our weather up here in Calgary Canada is seriously outa wack the past about Five years it’s worse our May frost it slowly now ending late May and we are still getting more and more freak hail and some brutal hail storms with golf ball and hand size hail and flash floods and freak snow storms 5hat come one minute and melted the next day, but We Canadians never give up, to one of our fave past times Urban gardening in this Big city, it’s really become very popular with raising costs of vegetables and fruits soo we look up a little prayer and get- er-done... with what ever is thrown at us in the cooler mixed weather ...haaa thanks for the tips😁

Question about beans...none of mine sprouted when I started my seeds. Do I need to soak them first or maybe nic the skin?
We live in Divide, Colorado. Our average last frost is May 24 but honestly we sometimes get snow the first week of June. Not a lot of time to grow so I try to start as much as possible indoors. Love your channel! Subscribed!

Thanks for subscribing. Soaking may help you get better germination also adding a heat mat could help too. Nicking the seed is not needed,, if you season is really short you should focus on bush beans, they are ready in as little as 60 days so they are great for short season areas!! Good luck!
