This podcast was a thoughtful look at Pope St. John Paul II and his impact on the world as people took up the call to evangelize inspired by his leadership. I'm glad that it was in the Loop newsletter from Catholic Vote so I could listen to it on his feast day.
Once the new Catholics are caught, there are plenty of us praying, welcoming them into Bible and catechism studies, into the Catholic School ( including preschools) Systems, the peace and reverence of Eucharistic Adoration chapels, etc. All thanks Pope St. John Paul II. And the continuation of the Papacy. Let's not forget how far the Lord has brought us.
Love how excited you get with each mention of his encyclical 🎉🫶🏻my people! 😂🙌🏻✨you guys should definitely cover some or all of his encyclicals --all still applicable and all infinite yield 🙏🏻🙌🏻✨We need to be reminded again!
Griping about JPII😮I can’t imagine your conversations now about Francis 🙃 Maybe an episode to help us navigate? I’m struggling now because I’ve lived through papacies that I truly believed were the Holy Spirit at work on earth❤️Fathers this was excellent and confirmed why I so admired him
Yes. We definitely need help in dealing with things our current pope says and appointments he makes. It seems like the hierarchy of our church wants to change moral theology.
Don't go clutching your pearls just yet. Go subscribe to Michael Lofton. He'll take you through the documents by the hand. Long story short, don't buy the hype. Pope Francis is a great pontiff in his own right. Benedict was incredible, too!
I was involved in several "active" ministries. I am an extrovert . I am 78 am becoming more the prayer lady instead. Written prayer intentions l take to adoration.
I was a reader and Eucharistic "minister" during my forced time at a NO parish. Once God gave us the true Mass back with Pope Benedict, I saw how inappropriate it was.
It's funny this comes out on a Luminous mysteries day. I've been wondering, what mysteries did people do before he added them? Then if "psalter" means 150, then were people doing the full on on three original sets?
JP2 was very friendly to Judaism. So much so that he thought the Old Covenant was still in effect. He also met with Freemasons. The New Code of Canon Law in 1983 removed the automatic excommunication for belonging to the Freemasons.
He was handsome and charismatic. But I was shocked when he allowed blasphemous pagan worship in Assisi and kissed the Koran. His philosophy was Phenomenology which was at odds with Traditional belief in many respects. Still, he was not as much a destroyer as Paul V1. But he allowed Communion in the hand and altar girls.
His new evangelization is a flop. We must go back to Baptizing and teaching the Faith and getting converts. We need the old evangelization. Since V2, our missionary efforts were erased in favor of telling non-Catholics that they could stay as they were.
The atheist materialist worldview is rationally unsustainable. That is, unless you believe in magic. You don't have to be a Christian or even religious to see this. Read the work of atheists like Thomas Nagel or David Chalmers. Goodbye

You folks are really young: Pope Pius XII, and a private Audience with Saint Pope Paul VI May 1970. Thanks
Polish roots also. God bless
Thanks, Tex!

This comment section is shameful. I'm so sorry about that, padres! You deserve much better.

i highly doubt these two read the comments
Hi Anya! We certainly try to read all the comments we get on our videos.

Vatican 2's "modern world" is the tired old 1970's.
V2 couldn't even leave the rosary alone.

So since the dawn of man no one has made it to heaven?
