My vehicle skoda kushaq is with your (Skoda) one of the workshops from the last 10 days.
There is no proper and right communication from the workshop side.
It's pathetic experience for me with skoda till now.
But one thing the car is superb....I am very happy with the car ...no doubt.
Experiences:
1. When I planned to buy the vehicle in 2022 I visited the skoda showroom, the initial vibes were not good regarding the showroom but the car is awesome. So I have planned to buy the car kushaq. But further experiences were very poor... On raising complaints with customer service support even experiences I got are very poor.
2. Now again I am getting pathetic experiences from the last 7 days.
Before this I was the owner of a maruti suzuki car and customer service support was awesome on sale and after sales even.
Dear skoda team it's my genuine request and suggestions that a proper communication channel you need to form for better customer experience.
I am hoping you will take this feedback positively.
Can you AUTOCAR please help me with this concern.
....Really enjoyable review-Nikhil always smashes it, btw waiting for Honda Elevate long term review, keep up the great work Autocar India Team-you guys rock😄😀....
Nikhil is my favourite host! Thank you for the constant quality content man, keep it up! 💌
On the touch panels: instead of sliding through the panel and not getting the right output, you can just touch the left and right blower/ ac temp controls. It increases/ decreases by 1 unit
Yup, but still not a good experience.
Creek noise from windows are a major concern in Skoda & VW cars.
Hey, nice video. Just a small clarification when you say rear seat space in the Bad Bit, it kind of creates an illusion in a future buyer's mind that rear seat space in Skoda or VW is less. When in actual the rear seat design, cushioning and hip point are one of the best and doesn't tire passengers after a long haul. A similar thing happened with the discontinued Ecosport wherein the rear seat is very good, but from the very beginning when the car was launched because of multiple journalists reporting the lack of space the narrative becomes that Ecosport rear seat space is bad. Although the knee room in the Nexon or the XUV300 may be better as reported by multiple well known journos but in reality for any six footer sitting in a knees up position is extremely uncomfortable. However the narrative has already been set for the future buyer.
Yes. Best in the segment
True. Being an Ecosport user for past 3 years, I can say that the legroom is not as bad as the reviwers say it is. It isn't as good as Nexon but me being a 5'8" tall person, other person with same height or even taller can easily sit behind driver's seat.
I have mentioned its good for a six footer but it is narrow, and not ideal for three at the back.
@NikhilOnCars yes you did, and I tried explaining in the post above that since the caption comes first, i.e lack of rear seat space (longitudinal or lateral not specified) and then your explanation, it ends up creating a preconceived notion in the buyer's mind. What needs to be amended is the caption only I believe to lend a better perspective. Rest nothing needs to be changed. Thanks for the reply
I have 1.0 ambition kushaq(automatic) and driven close to 25000km, I had a great experience with my car except AC. It’s seriously under powered. In cooler place it’s fine. But when I go to hometown it gets really hot and takes a lot of time to cool. Mileage is good, I get around 17kpl on highways and 8 to 12 in Bangalore city
How dare you put such adorable video in the end ? Now I have no choice but to give a like to video.
Could we please have a long term review for the Toyota Hyryder? The fuel efficiency is really lucrative in that car.
Can we assume that the same points apply for Virtus/Slavia?
Until tax system for car purchases is not changing, no one is getting genuinely loveable car. We all are purchasing good among the worst. It is matter of time who fails when at what time.
Wats the best alternative for this car at this price point.pls suggest.
Please also share DSG clutch replacement.
A very good review by this gentleman... Lots of love ❤️
This red kushaq looks just amazing
Ur videos are very nice, please shoot in 4k, we will get only 1080 quality
Is they add slavgy charges somthing on service or any part? It cost me 4500
As a Kushaq Owner, i do agree with nikhil mostly. But Creeking noise and AC operating, nah not at all. I got pretty much habituated with how it works. Creeks, not there in my car. Only complaint i do have is, AC is not fast enough to cool the cabin. But it does eventually.
IN DSG as well as ZF gear box = in traffic jab and at slow signals, pedestrian humbs use paddle shift - keep it is 1st gear and move to 2nd once u pick up speed
I like the looks of Kushaq too and yes, the black looks much better than the chrome but, don't like the red interiors.
Btw, the "family member" is super cute.
Hehe, the family member loved his time with the Kushaq!
Nice review. Which breed is the dog 😂 Super cute!
Great honest review
Can we see the bonnet if the driver seat height is increased??
What does it mean when someone says this car is “easy to drive”. Which car available in the market today is not easy to drive?
It's worth a mention because similar money could buy you, say, a lower spec (pre facelift)Tata Harrier, that wouldn't be suited to everyone owing to its size and heavy steering.
My favourite suv❤
I suggest autocar india to do long-term review for more 7-seater cars
"hi5 namaste" good video buddy:-*
Need actual long-term reviews like 50k+ km for these VAG 2.0 cars.
Khareedoge kab? Model discontinue hone ke baad?
@@aarushdeshpande2995 Troll karne se acha hai ki conversation me kuch contribute karo.
what is the process to join your company ?
1:31 Did you pronounce Dosa/Dose as Dosha 🥲
Dosha is correct.
@@AnishBhalerao Please google "Dosa" and "Dosha".
Excellent, ultimately the long term reviews only help in making Purchase decisions.
Build quality inside is same as 1987 Padmini Premiere
🥰European style Indian 😍
Skoda's designs have deteriorated over time, just like BMWs, especially from the front. I wish the Kamiq came to India not as a CBU but properly manufactured here. That car design is pretty great compared to what this weird Kushaq version is.
Family member at the end just looks to happy. 😂😂😂😂😂😂😂
He was thrilled with the Kushaq!
Sab badhiya hai bas back camera and dual zone climate control dede to 20 lakh me worth rahega.
A well balanced and perfect review! As the owner of Kushaq for 2 years, agree with each and every point covered in the review. Driven 15000 km so far and I would give the same review if anyone asks my suggestion. All the good and bad bits highlighted are on point.
Hello Autocar India , will ADAS come to VW/ Skoda cars in 2024 ?
10k is not LONG TERM.
It is for some brands 😋
j/k btw
Exactly. 3-4 years at least (30-40k)
What they mean is they used it for 10 k kms but yes, the word long term in the caption is incorrect... For a user car long term should be close to 50 k at least
10k kms is long term compared to the usual duration for which reviewers test cars in a manufacturer hosted event.
car reviews are just like tech reviews nowadays .
My Skoda kushaq consumes a lot of petrol and I have to refill every 3rd day...
Does anyone know the reason and what to overcome
Kam chalaya kro 😂

Is slavia/virtus more spacious than kushaq/ taigun..i really like design of virtus more is virtus is worth buyin or taigun
They have similar space and wheelbase. Headroom is more on Taigun and Kushaq as they are taller.
I also find seating more comfortable in Taigun compared to Virtus probably because the seating is higher.
Boot space is of course much more in Virtus
4mins down the video and already seen many bad bits 😢
1.0 TSI ki bhi krdo long term review.
gareebo ka bhi khayaal rkh lo plz
Elevate is a much, much better deal than the 1.0
@@blazkowicz666 Source: Trust me bro
@@Motorhead__ better ride quality, more spacious, more premium interior feel, much more refined engine, and we haven’t even reached the reliability part yet
@@blazkowicz666 I agree Elevate is good for point A to B commute. But some people like juice in their mid range and better driving dynamics. Also barring DSG, 1.0 manual and torqueconverter are pretty reliable.
@@blazkowicz666 Although the original comment was specifically about engine but anyway the only thing going in Honda's favour is it's supposed reliability. But again, there are numerous examples of vag cars too having proved to be reliable workhorses (no denying it's a hit or miss thing). Apart from this, Honda does score better on space but it's not a night and day difference. Don't know where your 'premium interior feel' analysis stems from. More refined engine? I guess you missed the major complaint with elevate being it's engine being too noisy. The ride on elevate is too soft but on the other hand Kushaq has got a balance of both comfort and handling. And are we just going to discount the performance part?
The seat adjustment is manual if I am not mistaken. Its a big downer for a 22 lakh car.
It now has electric adjustment for both front seats, I believe
Indians are the ONLY ones who expect electric seat adjust at these price points, and that is ONLY because of Hyundai-Kia offering it. Same goes for Indian car reviewers.
Europeans and European car reviewers don't care about whether the seat adjust is electric or not, if the pricing is below £40k (that's over ₹40L). But they absolutely WILL call it out if there is lack of telescopic adjustment on the steering. But they don't have to, because European regulations REQUIRE things like telescopic steering adjust, second row three head restraints, to be standard. So nobody even talks about whether the seat adjust is electric or not, esp at these price points. They do talk about the amount of adjust available, though.
Hyundai-Kia actually omit telescopic adjust on all but the top trims of their cars. And that is a safety hazard. In fact, in one of the trims on the Venue / Sonet, there is electric seat adjust BUT the telescopic steering adjustment is omitted lmao.
Besides this, 90% of car owners have one person driving the car mostly, so it is an adjust-it-forget-it affair, really. At least for me, I'd rather have all types of adjust available, than one of them being electric and the others omitted.
@@AnishBhaleraoWe are Indians. Not Europeans. We want max bang for our buck. And we pay over 100% tax for even the cheapest cars unlike Europeans or pretty much any other nations.
@@AnishBhaleraotrue dat Hyundai-Kia has made consumers mind towards only tech and features. Car should be about how it drives and comfort but nowadays people go for those cars which are tech heavy.
@@divyajeevan69 No. I disagree. Cars should be as much about features and comfort as they are about driving dynamics. Cars cannot be tailor-made for enthusiasts only, as enthusiasts consist of less than 1% of all carbuyers.
What I am trying to say is, Hyundai-Kia have made people ask for features WHILE completely ignoring dynamics, basics, and safety (Verna is a very shallow exception, but even its bodyshell is unstable). And that is the problem.
It isn't wrong to expect more from a car. But prioritising an air purifier / electric seat adjust over telescopic steering adjust - makes no sense.
Don't know how you are getting such low Fuel efficiency.. i have skoda slavia 1.5 DSG automatic.. and i get around 11-14 kmpl in noida depending on traffic.. and without ac it reaches to around 13-16 in winters.. and on highway from 18-21 depending on people onboard and speeds around 100.. and overtall mileage of 15.5 ... it could have been higher but because i sometimes stay in my hometown dehradun the FE drops to around 8-9 in city with ac .. otherwise it could have been around 17 overall.. done around 7000 km
sedan suv ka difference samajh aagya hoga? u answered urself...
@@docShazz. haa suv frame heavy bhi hota hai.. kausaq monte carlo is almost 100 kg heavy and slavia has better aerodynamics..
@@docShazz. no, I have Kushaq 1.0 AT and get 10-13kmpl in city and 18-22kmpl on highways, all with AC.
please share rear comfort experience of slavia for family perspective
@@rahul4 well its almost 5cm less then creta in internal thickness.. as doors are heavy and thick.. for 2 adults and 1 child in between it is comfortable.. or 3 fit adults.. but 3 chubby adults don't fit well.. suspension is good .. as it is sedan so comfort is much better then any suv of that price range.. if family has 2 adults and 2-3 kids it won't be any problem .. well 2-3 times a year you have a situaton when i think 3 adults are at back.. for short rides it's not a problem.. but for long rides i never tried...
lol. 10k kilometres is long term review ?😂😂
It is for some brands 😋
j/k btw
Why do you not talk about after sales service experience in your city?
A lot of complains come about reliability of this car. They all mention that the services are expensive and not top quality, like the car is.
Basically, it is a lovely shiny toy, which doesn't last long.
not a single issue in my unit... live in Chandigarh, top notch service, miles better than Hyundai and maruti, and especially tata
Ohh, it last very long.
The engine mentioned in the video is the same engine used by Audi and Volwagon and won tons of award internationally and has proved it's reliability and there was no other petrol engine even under 30 lakhs to beat it in performance(now seltos has 1.6 turbo to match).
It has 5star safety for front and back both in the modified NCAP system.
Most of the issues are occurred in AC or power window or some kind of squeaking in pannels which don't get cleared and start to annoye the owner. All car companies have these problem with new product but they cleared them up as their sales figures are high because they make economical cars. Look at Suzuki, makes a car with least power possible, with very bad safety standards with cheap material but it sell because it is cheap. On the other hand Skoda does everything opposite, Makes a car with excellent casis, great engine with great safety rating. Because very few people buys it, it became hard for them to invest resources in small stuff.
The problem is that the company is forced to sell a premium product at a cheaper price because the way Indian market is designed. I know three people who owned skodas and 2 of them(fabia and yeti) driven them to 1 lakh+km, they loved their car and when I asked them they didn't complain much, only minor issue which I also have in my maruti too.
Skoda are for car lovers on budget and they don't mind small issues for an excellent car, the rest can buy Suzuki or hyundai.
This vehicle is designed for individuals to express brand values and social standing. It serves as a practical choice for a single person, prioritizing style over family suitability due to limited space.
I am afraid you've never sat in one and more importantly never drove one.
There’s plenty space for 4 and a kid, better legroom than seltos. Do a long drive in both cars and you will know.
It is more spacious than Seltos..Kushaq/Taigun has the longest wheelsbase in the segment
Above 70k km going on in my tornado red 1.0 style automatic
This car is so under power you would not believe it. I'm a driver and drive this car everyday. It's so overrated. I think i20 could beat this car in a second. So much money for this crap. It should be priced under 7lakh even for the top model
I drive an i20(diesel and not the 1.2 petrol crap) and 1.0 Kushaq. Everytime I am behind the wheel of kushaq it just amazes me with the sheer acceleration it has with such tiny engine. So, don't know if you are one of those keyboard warriors only or you have actually tried it out before commenting.
@@Motorhead__ I try every day buddy. It's only quick in 1st gear and can't even crawl in 2nd gear in traffic. Power comes after 1700rpm so I know this car inside out buddy. Have you ever driven thar or fortuner or any 4×4 car. You will know what the power is. You should try once
@@gaganbajwa2707have you ever driven any turbo engine car, the power will come after turbo kicks in after 1800 rpm.
from whatever you said, clearly you dont have any experience of car driving. tum activa chalao wahi sahi hai tumhare liye

What is pupose of this review Autocar when there is no action on experts feedbacks also. People buying this car is making huge compromise. Skoda should improve the quality & internal fit & finish of interiors of Kusaq & Slavia to the level of its predessesor made in India cars. Quality of the AC vents & crome on the flaps looks so cheap and unjustified for 23 lac priced car. Come on Skoda! It has been 4 years since launch and still there is no congnizance of these facts. Leave alone action. Shameful!
I bought Kushaq 2023 model in 2024 Apr because of huge discount of 2L offered by Skoda but even top style variant have lot of issues.
Avg comes around only 8km/L which is pathetic, suspensions are not good, even if car hits any pot hole at speed of 50Km/h it gives such loud thud noise like some stone has hit car from below, is it really expected from top variant of so called german manufactured cars? Probably they don't have pot holes in Germany but it India pot holes is common phenomenon on roads. Rear piano glass was broken when I removed tap after delivery, what kind of cheap quality skoda is putting in cars? No wireless android auto even in top end car, after spending 20L if skoda can't give such basic feature then its really shameful.
Only good thing is drive quality which is enjoyable but apart from engine really nothing which skoda has done right in this car.
Which month of manufacturing in 2023 ?
This is quite a disappointing review by Nikhil. In what world is a 10 to 20,00,00 segment car compared to a 40 to 55,00,00 segment car by the same brand?
Fair point, but a Kushaq doesn't feel as well put together as the old Rapid did either.
