Good video. I notice that almost all reviews complain about the lid but if you prioritize cooking function over storage function, then the lid is just perfect. The stuff sack holds everything just fine.
As for cooking and especially if cooking over the fire I find it way better to have a looser fitting lid bc it gives you the ability to remove it one handed or can remove using a stick.
I have the msr titan pot with a tight fitting fit and I have to use two hands to remove. One hand to hold pot and one hand to lift lid.
I very much prefer the Toaks.
Just another perspective is all. Happy cooking 🍳

Thanks 4 the comment. I understand your point, but the lid is simply crap.
I use the MBD lid. It is loose AND stable. TOAKS clearly knows this b/c they offer MBD style lids for the 450 & 750ml pots; both of which I own and they work way, way better.
That said, all my Ti is TOAKS branded, so, don't get me wrong, I am a fan.
My prediction is that TOAKS is slowly moving away from the old lid style and we will eventually see new style lids throughout the entire line.

I just received a Lixada 1100 with lid and bail handle and find it far better pot than my toaks. And the lid is fantastic. You might consider this puppy for a good all around "bushpot".

Toaks 1100 also has a frypan lid version. Fits much better!!

Too small to be a frying pan, too big to be a lid.
I own hundreds of dollars of Toaks gear. I am a fan of the company. That said, the fact remains, the old lids are shit. I use the new Toaks lids where I can and MBD lids where there isn't a Toaks option.
Anyway, thanks for the comment and Merry Christmas.

@@THCone- sure you can fry with it. I cooked a hamburger patty, 2 hotdogs sliced in half, 4 breakfast sausage links, bacon cut in half, even crab cake lol. Merry Christmas to you!!

@@Community-Action lol, anything shorter than my junk is by definition not enough to be a frying pan.
Even if you could convince me that those little pans are useful, it doesn't change the fact that the old lid design is flawed.

@@THCone- anything bigger then a 4 3/8 fry pan is not ultralight camping. It’s glamping lol

@@Community-Action define "ultralight"? I mean, ad absurdum, if we r going to truly go ultralight, forget the frying pan,, pot, stove, etc. and just coldsoak your oatmeal in an old peanut butter jar.

They r starting to make the "better" lid for both smaller sizes now, s progress is being made... lol, obviously, it was all because of this video, I am very influential.

I have this pot with the same lid,I fixed it by turning the lid upside down and hammering the curve bit flat all the way round using a flat head screwdriver and hammer, the lid fits alot better,it's ashame toaks didn't do this .

Thanks for sharing your fix. Nothing like a little ingenuity and elbow grease. Seems like Toaks is slowly starting to make lids similar to the MBD one I showed in the video and like the "new version" I have for the 450ml cup as I recently purchased a 750ml pot from them- which came w/the shitty style lid- and saw that they also now sell a new version lid for that siz as well. Which, of course, I added to the cart at time of purchase.

No longer has insulation on the handles 2025. All Toaks lids are the same, 1100, 1300, 1600, they fit the same. If you remove the bail the lid may fit better, mine does. The bail if too tight, squeezes the pot slightly out of round, and since the lids are so tight, they then don’t fit well. A.lso some lids don’t sit flat on a flat surface either. I found Lixada has thicker titanium, making a better pot at a micro gram more weight in the 750 ml size. Lixada doesn’t make a 1100 or larger pot though. So I guess we have to accept the poor fitting lids.

Hi, I'm wondering if you know whether klean kanteen 64oz would fit into TOAKS titanium 1100mL pot. Thanks

Thanks for the comment. I only use 27 and 40 ounce KKs, so I can't say for sure. However, I just went to Toaks' site and the first comment/review for this pot is from someone who states "Nests my Klean Kanteen 64oz wide mouth.", so...

      TWSS.
I use a MBD lid almost exclusively with this pot and still dream of the day when Toaks makes a "new version" lid in this size like they do for their two smallest sized mugs
