I did order the Westman Atelier. I hope I like it. The Cle de Peau concealer is one of my least favorite. I find it heavy and dry and yellow. I only use it to touch up the face or add coverage to the face. I wasn’t crazy about the color range - the only cool tone was the very lightest shade. I also wasn’t crazy about the Tom Ford lip pencil colors. I chose close up and private client and hope I will like them. I think I picked up the Victoria Beckham balm in Cassis. It’s okay. None of them compares to the YSL, in my opinion. I may pick up one or two of the Givenchy to test them out!
Please let me know what you think of the WA Roz! I find the cdp concealer can be a bit tricky to use at first but if I warm it up on my fingertip and use the lightest amount, it does a great job. Unfortunately the color isn't great for me either. I'd love to know what you think of the TF pencils - I think they look prettier in person than they did online although the Nordstrom pictures are a bit more accurate than the Sephora ones.
Really like the Givenchy lipsticks. The bullet and component is a nice size. Very pretty packaging. And the texture seems nice. The cool rose is a color I've been looking for for winter 😊but I also like the look of the warm rose. It's a good color for people who don't like to wear full reds... I think it would look pretty for the holidays
1.8 g for the VB Lip balm?! And here I thought her lipsticks had very little product at 2g per lipstick. This is just outrageous. Thanks, Lexi, for saving me some money :)
Hi Lexi - the primer looks really nice. I think the CDP is such a fantastic concealer and the only one where I sometimes don't even need to set with powder it's that good. Love the TF shade in Private Client on you - that slight orange hue really looks beautiful. Not sure about the VB - looks so sheer but I am sure the texture is nice. If I were to buy one item profiled here it'd be that primer but TF pencil is a close second 😊
Thank you Lexi for showing these new beauties. I was so excited for the VBB lip balms, but I can’t deal with the click up but not down mechanism. So many beautiful things!! ❤
Hi Lexi, I like the same two shades of lip liner and lipstick you do although you suit every shade beautifully. The VB tints are nice but there isn't much more than a hint of a sheer wash and the downside is that they're non-tractable which I could get around if they offered a touch more colour. Thank you so much for trying and reviewing all the newness for us. Appreciate all your hard work! Are you thinking of skipping the Hourglass face palettes or picking up one since there are mostly new shades which imo kind of look similar to their other shades lol but the packaging is always pretty and the powders good. ❤❤
Thank you Pam! I ordered the dragon palette and I think that might be the only one I get but I'm tempted by the Lotus color story... lol. It's never ending!
I just looked up the ingredients of the posy-tivity primer. I was happy to see it is free of fragrance as well as any skin damaging ingredients. I have to give this a try as I’ve been looking for a primer!
Thank you Lexi for another great “start-of-the day” video. I really like your eye look here. Among your new luxuries, it’s the WA concealer that will make it into my basket (once Sephora figures out why I haven’t been able to log since I downloaded the new and improved app - I have had to change my password, my email, my browser and now IT needs to get involved. Very frustrating!) In any case, I thank you again and I wish you a great back-to-school week.
Hi Lexi, speaking of concealers, I am surprised to find that the Makeup Forever HD concealer that I bought a year ago is wonderful. It doesn’t crease like the ND Hy Glam concealer, and it’s brighter than the Sisley concealer in Shade 1 Pink. I just ordered the VBB new concealer, shade FL1.
The TF lip liner in Fire will be mine. WOW! What a great shade!! If I love the formula, I’ll get more. I really want to try the new Givenchy lipsticks, too. They look beautiful, and I always like their lip formulas. Loved seeing the Guerlain x Pucci collection in the background! I just noticed! 🤩
Hi Lexi, I purchased the Rouge Interdit Satin in 231 based on your swatch. I also purchased the WA under-eye concealer - it is actually a bit thick and drying for my aging skin. I’ll try to work a little faster blending it with my brush. It’s always fun to try new products - but mainly when they become new faves. I don’t think the WA formula is in my top category. Thanks for the in-depth reviews and swatches! ❤
You can always try mixing it with a little moisturizer and maybe that will give you a better texture. Please let me know if you are able to make it work.
You know, I’ve decided to send it back. It just isn’t as good as others I already have. I’m always open to trying new products - but I wouldn’t recommend this for anyone who struggles with very dry under eye skin. I actually get better results using my ColorScience SPF for eyes.
Lexi, thanks for reviewing all these new products. The TF & Givenchy lippies look the best. I was interested in the VB balms but after your review I think I can pass. Thanks for the swatches & demo! 😊🌺
I have feelings about the new VB lip balms. I have Casis. I'm usually very impressed by VB products, but honestly these are just meh. Virtually no color, as you showed so perfectly. And yes, they're really stiff. I think the Lisa Eldridge Baume Embrace lip balms are far superior. Still not a lot of color payoff, but they're definitely better than the VB and soooo much more buttery. Also, thanks for the review of the new WA concealers. It doesn't sound like it's going to knock my Chanel Sublimage concealer off its pedestal for me.
Thank you, Lexi, for the great review and comparison of products and everything. ❤ I am interested in the WA and VB concealers, so I would like to see a comparison, but honestly, I think I will need to see that Givenchy concealer first. Also, the VB lip balms are a disappointment for me - thank you once again, you saved me so much money ( I expected more color from them). Givenchy lipsticks are 😍
Hi Lexi, I think I will pass everything because: The WA concealer it too sheer and satiny and definitely is not good as a spot concealer nor as a concealer if you have circles to cover. I think it’s ok if you just want a bit of luminosity under eye and your regular concealer doesn’t offer. I have the Sublimage concealer from Chanel and Dior Forever concealer. I like both and so far is nothing better on the market. VB lip balms made in Korea (probably $2 production cost for each one), packaging issue and not so great formula is nothing to offer for me. I will stick with my Guerlain and Sisley lip balms which are stunning. I rarely use a lipstick so TF lip pencils and Givenchy lipsticks don’t tempted me. The face primer might be ok but I don’t use face primer. I can’t wait for Hermes limited edition collection review!😁 Thanks for sharing!🙂
Very helpful, Lexi. I would be most interested in 231 in the Givenchy. I am sick of lip balms, honestly. I want a sheer lipstick that doesn't feather and am having a hard time finding one. Especially in a blackberry color, where I can get the depth, hopefully more brown than blue based. Bobbi Brown made one about a thousand years ago and sold it along with her original lipsticks. Those were the first semi mattes, and she just included it in the range. My backup went bad before I could use it. And I'm on the verge of finding one of those companies that claims they can copy original lipsticks. If you know a good one please share. Also, will you be trying the new Hourglass palettes? Both the Barneys and the holiday choices dropped today. No custom palettes this year. Thanks for the video!💚
I love tinted lip balms and even I am getting tired of more releases, lol. I still need to do a round up video on all of them. Have you tried the Givenchy black lip balm? That one shifts to a blackberry shade and it is one of my favorites. I've used all the different versions of it they have come out with since I was younger. I have tried some of those fragrance companies that are supposed to replicate your scent but I have not found a successful dupe so I'm not very optimistic. I'm sure you can find a company to get the color right but not necessarily the formula. I ordered the Dragon palette this morning. At first I thought they weren't customizable either but it was just a hidden option. I updated the link to the customizable option: go.shopmy.us/p-7454887 (affiliated).
@@LexiJong Thank you! I saw that page but thought it was just another promo photo. I want to see that peach blush in the dragon. In some pictures it's very bright. Love her highlights both liquids and Creme. The bronzer but not a huge fan of her eye pods. Love her blushes .i don’t see any yellow on you - did it ever turn ?
