On the one hand, Xcaret is absolutely beautiful. Although the water isn't that cerulean blue that most people are used to swimming in at water parks and resorts, everything looks so natural and undisturbed (though it's obviously had to have been disturbed, by the very nature of the resort). They definitely went out of their way to create an environment that paid respect to the surroundings, and the ruins and the waterfalls were super fun to see! On the other...charging per person for photos!? Good lord... 😅😂 At the end of the day, I suppose even the most beautiful of tourists traps is still a tourist trap haha ordinarily 9pm would be a pretty late dinner for us, too, but when we're on vacation we throw our normal schedules out the window and just eat whenever we can squeeze a meal in.
