nice i built one last year. Took a bit of work but the hexacopter flies nicely. I have a go pro on a 2D gimbal, 4S9500 battery. Get 15-18 min before hitting 30% low voltage alarm.
really cool build i have a similar f450 the only thing i did was swap out the esc for bl_heli32 esc and it made the drone smoother and got an extra 5 minutes on 5500mah 3s spining 1045 props.
Thanks I may even look at doing an esc upgrade on it someday as the ones I bought were just a cheap reputable no name brand I wanted to try from Banggood. So far though they seem pretty good though. Lately I been seriously thinking of turning this craft into a fishing drone with a catch release on the bottom for dropping my bait. Not sure but if I do go that way I will make a video showing it.
Hi, I am working on a similar build in a F550 With pixhwak 2.4.8. Radio control is through ELRS RP3 reciver and a Radio master Pocket Transmitter. My transmitter and Reciver is connected as i can see the C in the top right corner of the Lua script but not recognised by Ardupilot. I have chenged the flight channel to 12 but still it is not working, Is there any particular reason that you underwent ?
So sorry for late reply hopefully you have it worked out by now. Sounds like you may not have the wiring correct from the reciever to pixhawk. Make sure the tx is going the rx and rx to tx from reciever to pixhawk. Mine is setup on serial 4.
Thanks a lot for the video. I've tried and wasn’t successful. I set all parameters as in your video and no radio response. One difference - I working with ArduRover 4.2.3 (2172cfb3). I've used BetaFPV Literadio 3 pro + Jumper aion nano TX 2.4Ghz + Matek DIY_2400_RX_ESP8285_SX1280 RX. Tx/Rx updated to the last 3.2.0 firmware. Are any thoughts on what can be wrong here?
Hi I'm not sure are you on ardu rover are you building a Rover? My rx setup is elrs setup only. Are you using elrs on yours too? My best advise would be to get some help through ardupilot wiki or forums like on Facebook etc.
Thx bro it will be nice to fly with I give a tune. It is wobbly because it needs a tune and some adjustments I need to wait until I get a day without any wind to tune it.
I haven’t put a capacitor on it only A power module on the battery cable to monitor voltage, it also has built in filtering. I was recently thinking of adding a capacitor where the battery cable meets the PDB for even more-added filtering.
I can do 20 mins on the 7500mah battery, I am still trying to refine it so that is increased, something I am working on. I haven’t tested any extra weight on it like a gimbal and camera just yet although it would easily take it I’m just not sure how much the flight times would be effected.
I am also trying to build a drone same like yours and almost everything is same except for mine is a Quad, I am planning to buy TX12 Mark II Radio Controller (ELRS version) could you suggest me a best receiver and budget friendly receiver please. I am new to this 🙂
I would recommend that you don't copy PID parameters. Main reason being is your craft exactly the same as mine,? Same weight? use same battery, motors esc etc? Both craft need to basically be exactly the same to copy parameters or you can risk flying a craft using parameters which don't suit your setup. Maybe hard to fly and possibly crash. You are best to just do a basic install and run the autotune as I did in my video. This way the PID setup is suited to your craft and setup . Hope that helps.
@@reegeecajes9343 nothing wrong with directly soldiering it, I just prefer connectors in case I need to reverse a motor I can swap cables around much more easy.
Old school build. Very nice, have the same unit...
Thx yeah they fly very nice...What sort of flight times can you get from yours?

It sounds like a good craft too. They do fly quite nice indeed.

Hello friend, do you know how to connect the F550 drone with NASA Lite to the Futaba 18mz radio? thanks

His sir im going to buy a Radiomaster pocket tx with Rp1 reciever to conncet it to radiolink pixhawk does rp1 reciever work with pixhawk ? thank you
I don't see why it wouldn't

. i noticed it wobble a bit,,is it because of the wind?

. nice build bro,,
what type of capacitor did you use on the battery port?
I haven’t put a capacitor on it only A power module on the battery cable to monitor voltage, it also has built in filtering. I was recently thinking of adding a capacitor where the battery cable meets the PDB for even more-added filtering.
how long is the flight time? And what is the maximum weight it can carry?

I have happymodel es900 receivers in 3 of my planes all never failed bought at Banggood. This hex is using an old frsky r9 reciever.
Thank you

Hello ....I like to know if anyone has used crius ...I have one with crius and 930 KV with 1045 blade 3s ....I need the PID to compare
Sorry I don't use cruise on mine.
How many KV motor you have ?
@@mrz2528 they are 920kv from memory equivalent to the DJI phantom 3 motors.
Ok thank you
can i ask what plug u use to connect the ESC to motors?
I believe they are 4mm bullet connectors.
@@stonesrcchannel can i just directly solder it or do i need a plug?

@@reegeecajes9343 I’m not sure exactly how much it weighs but the flight time is about 20mins.
