He knows fear isn't the way to handle everything. He doesn't just beat up someone infront of their family or be cold infront of a child while asking questions during an interrogation. He knows to raise up to the situation and handle things differently. He knows to put trust on his teammates and to coordinate them. Basically he feels like a more human with his emotions and judgements. Yet he is worthy enough to be one of the best superheroes. We can't count out the fact that superman wanted nightwing to train his son.
