I love how this Dick Grayson is not only INCREDIBLY skilled at acrobatics due to his family upbringing, has the martial arts and aim training of batman, but also is his own character as he's not just a moody teenager like Damien. He's actually enjoying himself being a hero and working with his friends. Definitely the Robin the Titans need more then Damien.

thats what makes damian so unique tho, that annoying personality makes his eventual character growth much more impactful. most comics doesnt rlly make him grow but he does in the movies and its amazing
no offense to jason or tim, love them both but in my opinion they were probably the least creative and/or different robins(when they were robin) obviously their personally and character grew when they became red robin and red hood respectively but dick and damien were overall better robins

not only the fact that we didnt see him develop from robin into nightwing, they just completely skipped over jason todd. he didnt even just appear as red hood or anything, they completely skipped his whole character

@@Oakleyyz he's Robin in the Adam West show, the Schumacher films, Animated series, 2003 Batman, YJ,TTG and HBO Titans, they even do flashback books of him in the role like Robin and Batman, World's Finest, Jason's only been a protag in 2 adaptations and Tim's never in the spotlight

Can someone clue the Titans HBO Max showrunners on this? Because this is how you write Dick Grayson - a happy, snarky capable fighter and leader, not that stiff, mopey sad sack they call Nightwing. Also, as for Dick Grayson losing fights in season 1, keep in mind that he's literally the youngest member of YJ and with no superpowers. Dude was 4'11" 13 y.o. manhandling street goons and mutants. He gave as good as he got.

watching the show again, i finished season 1, had a blast and i started on season 2 but immediately shut it off. i miss season 1 robin, and i miss the different storied episodes with each character learning about themselves at the end and having their experiences carry over to the next episode. for a kids show, there was so much maturity in the writing.

- we REALLY get to see him on his own, and as the de facto leader of the Titans.
- we see how - patterning himself off Batman - how he's been trained to me THE leader/lone wolf, but his true nature - coming from his circus/acrobatic team background, is to be part of a team.
- this version shows his FULL armament of moves from his circus performer life, and how much FUN he has....not just his tactical, fight training...
Literally one of the BEST superhero shows created.... DC really shined in the first two seasons....
Richard Grayson. The first robin. The boywonder. The TRUE son of batman. The best version of batman. Nightwing. Leader of the Team, Titans, Justice League at one time. Simply....the best

Watching this makes me miss and appreciate how good season 1&2 were. Ik a lot of people hated season 3 and aren’t really enjoying season 4 while I enjoyed season 3 and currently enjoying season 4 one of the biggest issues is I have is I feel like they lost there plot. Watching robin fight in almost all of these fights Ik how almost all the bad guys were working together as or for the light and we barely get to see that anymore and we also don’t get to see the covert team which is mainly what this shows about. If YJ gets renewed for a season 5 and they don’t start working on the overall story of the show with the light and darkseid I feel like it will get cancelled again.
Season 1 will always be the best. I’m personally not a huge fan of the large time jumps, so my opinion about the other seasons are biased and don’t really count, but I CAN say that they definitely didn’t have the some coherent, interesting plot.
They should've planned it out more. Like why not give us animated Young Justice movies with the original team, and then a spinoff show called outsiders for expanding the universe.
@@DavidMartinez-ce3lp They couldn't plan it out. They were racing against a tight budget and a near decade gap in-between the stories they originally wanted to tell after season 2. Blame DC for not funding this animated series and instead going for their trash DC universe
@@cottonmather8146 I think the time skips hurt them as well. Didn't need to keep skipping so much progress. It's a show about young heroes, they should show us the growth, not just allude to it.

GOD I miss season one so bad not only cuase 2011 was a great year for animated shows and was also just a good year in general but also this shows first season was the best every character was great and had great episodes. Man I miss those nostalgic memories :(
Just how Dick is a more of Hero more than everyone else how he usually first to go in with a plan. As well as him being like Bruce subconscious whether he think so or not is almost cathartic, he Bruce without that darkness… he always on the hopeful side

We can agree the first season of young justices is great and all but I think the creators should’ve kept things like this it was always a time skip in the beginning of new season. Wasn’t the show about the sidekicks become a team of their own but now there are new members showing up out of nowhere and really dark moments in seasons 3 and 4
To be fair if they wanted a time-skip and to do multiple seasons they probably shouldn't have done a 5 year time-skip to keep the idea about the sidekicks becoming their own team. Though maybe they thought it was more about heroes proving themselves and entering the Justice League is meant to be a symbol of that but I do miss them as sidekicks.

Grayson was the best fighter, Detective, Acrobat and leader Bruce trained before DC dumbed him and everyone else down to fit into some “role” originally. He also used to be extremely serious like TT 2003 Robin, All of that made him the perfect candidate and heir.
Then 2011 came along or so and now we have idiotic edgelord Jason where before he was a brilliant strategist, Happy boi himbo Nightwing and overhyped intellectually but terrible at combat Tim… so stupid, they all specialized in one thing over the other but were all known to be super skilled. Smh

I really enjoyed watching season 1 it was perfect in my eyes, and I was looking forward to season 2. Went into season 2 with high hopes, and they did a 5 year time skip and inserted some crucial points into a video game. I was on the fence but continued, THEN they killed kid flash, which was unforgivable, so I stopped watching
