Many people know this track from the Bumrush the Charts social media stunt, or are fans from the days of Wash it Away, Time Ago, Buffy the Vampire Slayer and the Spider-Man soundtrack. This delicious music video features mountains & oceans and good old rocking out.

Why is this group so underrated? Honestly, one of the best i've ever heard.
Most people just want to listen to a beat instead of listening to the whole package music and lyrics that actually make you think and remember bad and good times. It’s sad really, music should move you and make you think about life
well, they haven’t had a record deal in 24 years so🤷🏼♂️ Radio isn’t going to play an independent band who releases their albums on their website. As brilliant as they are.

This song is sung with such emotion and is very catchy.
A love that never was, or a love never meant to be, is the most beautiful thing in the world. Because the feeling of would could have been is stronger than what actually is and the perfection of the love that could have been is what drives someone to better themselves. And this is what changes a person forever. Nothing will ever change that.

Ebow is an electronic device used to create electronic Orchestra type string like sounds. You hold it near the strings of a guitar and it sustains withour the sound of a pick. Black Lab uses it on this song. Listen to the background swell of sound at 1:49. They used it a great deal more on "Your body above me" CD Listen to the songs "10million Years" and "Time Ago" tons of ebow.

Excellent video!!! Black Lab is one of THE great bands from this country and Paul Durham one of our greatest lead vocalists, IMHO. I agree with "lanesuzza" about Paul's TEN MILLION YEARS album. SEE THE SUN is still a favorite for me.

Yet again, Black Lab manages to send shivers down my spine. This is a very emotional song, like all the others. I'm sure so many people are able to relate to his music. I especially like the ending of the video where the wave washes away her reflection.

@steray812, Not true. Compare the sound of "Your Body Above Me" to everything after that, starting with "See the Sun". The difference is Andy Ellis, Paul's bandmate. Andy's contribution is huge.
