The version of the encounter that I learnt as a child was different. Vivekananda asks, "Can you *see* God?", which is significantly different from "Can you prove there is God" as recounted here. The former is experiential while the latter a seed for an intellectual debate. Ramakrishna's response was, "I can see Him as clearly as I can see you, and I can show Him to you if you would like", which shook Vivekananda as it was a very different response from what he heard from many other teachers of spirituality of his time, to whom he had asked the same question.
@@AK-eu4yy It is the Bliss itself. In Hinduism God is defined as the absolute Truth, Consciousness & Bliss. When one is in touch with any of these in a profound way they are in touch with the Divine.
There is a correction. He died at the age of 39 and NOT 32. I remember because he predicted his death 10 years in advance. He didn't see a need to preserve the physical body and had been always saying to his students that he has no wish to reach 40 years age and that he will pass away just before he reach 40. And that is exactly what happened. He died while doing meditation in his room, and some say it is maha samadhi. From Wikipedia - On 4 July 1902 (the day of his death), Vivekananda awoke early, went to the monastery at Belur Math and meditated for three hours. He taught Shukla-Yajur-Veda, Sanskrit grammar and the philosophy of yoga to pupil. At 7:00 pm Vivekananda went to his room, asking not to be disturbed; he died at 9:20 p.m. while meditating. According to his disciples, Vivekananda attained mahasamādhi; the rupture of a blood vessel in his brain was reported as a possible cause of death. His disciples believed that the rupture was due to his brahmarandhra (an opening in the crown of his head) being pierced when he attained mahasamādhi. Vivekananda fulfilled his prophecy that he would not live forty years. He was cremated on a sandalwood funeral pyre on the bank of the Ganga in Belur, opposite where Ramakrishna was cremated sixteen years earlier.
Also, I have detailed reading where it is said that, that year was very good for hilsa fish, so he took some of his disciples to buy fish. he also tasted the fish during lunch. after that, he went to his room and died in samadhi.
That's what the yogis Do. When they realize that they have accomplished the purpose of their lives, they won't spend an extra second in this world. They intuitively know when they have to take their farewell.
I have been closely attached to Ramakrishna Mission as I did my high school from RKM, and staying in hostel had made me fortunate enough to get associated with a few Maharajas, and it is not the first time I am hearing these about Shri Ramakrishna Paramhansa and Swami Vivekananda, even though you were not completely correct about his life span but the way you delivered in a short video about Swamiji and Ramakrishna Paramhansa dev, i felt some energy! 🙏
Sri Ramakrishna Paramhansa never had such business motives nor the tradesman-like urge so as to make himself communicate to the world, it was the world who to serve their worldly interests came to him praying for blessings
So true he didn't wanted people to flock over while he was alive and that was the reason he never initiated anyone like Sadhguru says in video. Also great beings are realised only after they leave the world. 🙏🏻 JAY JAY SHREE RAMKRISHNAPARAMHAMSJI 🙏🏻 JAY JAY 'MAA' SHARADA🙏🏻

"If there has been anything achieved by me, by thoughts or words or deeds, if from my lips has ever fallen one word that has ever helped anyone in the world, I lay no claim to it; it was his. But if there have been curses falling from my lips, if there has been hatred coming out of me, it is all mine, and not his. All that has been weak has been mine; all that has been life-giving, strengthening, pure, and holy has been his inspiration, his words, and he himself. Yes, my friends, the world has yet to know that man" -Swami Vivekananda in 1897 during a Speech in Calcutta.
“Take up one idea. Make that one idea your life - think of it, dream of it, live on that idea. Let the brain, muscles, nerves, every part of your body, be full of that idea, and just leave every other idea alone. This is the way to success.” - Swami Vivekananda

Jai Shree Lord Ramakrishna Deva 🙏🏻🙏🏻🙏🏻🙏🏻🙏🏻🙏🏻
The version of the encounter that I learnt as a child was different. Vivekananda asks, "Can you *see* God?", which is significantly different from "Can you prove there is God" as recounted here. The former is experiential while the latter a seed for an intellectual debate.
Ramakrishna's response was, "I can see Him as clearly as I can see you, and I can show Him to you if you would like", which shook Vivekananda as it was a very different response from what he heard from many other teachers of spirituality of his time, to whom he had asked the same question.
That was exactly my reaction
...jaggi's version is little different..but that's ok
Janaki Raman you are on the spot.
Correct.
The background music is of Ramakrishna aarti, written by Vivekananda , done in Belur Math every evening... 🙂

@@AK-eu4yy It is the Bliss itself. In Hinduism God is defined as the absolute Truth, Consciousness & Bliss. When one is in touch with any of these in a profound way they are in touch with the Divine.

Got goosebumps such a great intellectual being vivekananda was ❤️❤️
There is a correction.
From Wikipedia -
On 4 July 1902 (the day of his death), Vivekananda awoke early, went to the monastery at Belur Math and meditated for three hours.
@@subhashreebehera3350 give one example then.
@@ksh6 thanks for this auspicious info :)

We salute thus great Hero🙏🙏

"If there has been anything achieved by me, by thoughts or words or deeds, if from my lips has ever fallen one word that has ever helped anyone in the world, I lay no claim to it; it was his. But if there have been curses falling from my lips, if there has been hatred coming out of me, it is all mine, and not his. All that has been weak has been mine; all that has been life-giving, strengthening, pure, and holy has been his inspiration, his words, and he himself.
