I mean she was like 87 and lost her ability to fight like she used to. She’s still known as the greatest healer in the world and had her own clinic. She accomplished a lot In her adult years with having banned blood bending and helping rebuild the southern water tribe. She’s retired. Besides I don’t think neither aang nor katara would want a statue dedicated to them
I would have just been happy if katara had ended up by herself. I love zutara but I really dislike Kataang.. Aang to me didn't care about her feelings. the writers just suddenly made her be so 'In love' with aang because the hero gets the girl and that pissed me off.
Katara deserved so much better. her character should have been explored more and to be honest I think if she was with Zuko her story and his story would have a lot more potential that her just being given the role of the girlfriend in the comics
I thought Kataang was quite strange because it wasn’t really developed because it was, well, developed. It was impactful because of how LONG it took to happen. This is why I prefer Rayllum over Kataang because I find that the show focuses more on their relationship and it makes sense too since Ezran left. It’s just Callum and Rayla. It’s the perfect setup, and it frequently teases this throughout the first half of Season 3. It just fits both characters perfectly due to their lonely circumstances previously. Katara has no reason to love Aang. They just grew closer, for some reason.
I know they’re last context of dialogue was them literally fighting and Aang kept peer pressuring Katara telling her when will she be ready and when is the right time! demanding to know and Katara says she’s confused and he kisses her and she runs away and it never gets resolved Like , I find Kataang really toxic but that’s my opinion.
@@BravoTango-vt8em I agree some ways. But I don't really like Rayllum. It would be very cliche and unhealthy. Rayla refuses to speak out her emotions, and so does Callum. It would end up with a bunch of arguments and heartbreak. Callum is sensitive and often puts his emotions in front of others. Not a good thing with Rayla who is emotionally and mentally scarred. Overall it would be really bad for both of them.

I'm telling y'all.. If, in Crossroads of destiny, Aang and Iroh were like 10-15 minutes late, I'm positive that Katara would have attempted to treat Zuko's scar and that they would've hugged it out (not necessarily kiss maybe) and that he wouldn't have betrayed them.
Also I think the reason Katara never sought out the Southern raiders were because she had almost accepted it and probably never realised the possibility of finding the killer. Sometimes our thoughts and judgements are clouded by emotions and self diminishing overthinking

Yeah, the romance of this show is a real mess. One love triangle was broken with a sacrifice another one with a kinda forced paring. Am I the only one who would like to see Suki's reaction when Sokka would tell her about Yue (Yue would be alive.) or Zuko struggling to choose between Mai and Katara (and the reaction of the unchosen one) or Toph revealing her feelings to Sokka (that would make a real mess in Sokka's mind especially in combination with alive Yue scenario). But I real if authors would work on romance this hard it would be too messy (especially if we consider how well they made kataang) and it could grab attention that was needed to make this show perfect in every other way.
I just watched Avatar like the week before last week and from Book 2, I shipped Zutara and didn't even knew it was a very popular opinion. I was saddened that whoever made the show didn't listen to it's fans but only used their own opinion. It would be better if they all just remained friends or probably zuko and katara being in love from the rest of the show but Zuko just let go of Katara and gave her to Aang in my opinion, so it will be more dramatic and sad, also it reminds me of the K- drama the King's in love.
trust me, it was crazier back when this show was still running, the Zutara craze was a big thing back then
I appreciate your thoughtful, intelligent, evidence-based analyses of these relationships. 100% agree with the fact that the writers did not consider what Katara, or any 14-year-old girl, would have thought of the romantic possibilities presented to her. Zuko and Katara make so much more sense on so many levels, not just the superficial ones like “they look good together” or even that “fire and water are opposites.” Zuko was the only one she could go to for emotional support when she was the one who supported everyone else
I want Zuko and Katara but The Cave of Two Lovers was a legendary episode. Secret Tunnel slaps.
Apparently there is a fan fic for this. Dk how good it is. I really can’t get into it if the writing blows. The ones I’ve read that were really great were incomplete T__T
I think it is possible that they got together after Ange's death. I think the way it happened was that zuko came to confront katara after and then they formed a minor romantic relationship because their best friend was gone.

There's actually a theory that Zutara did happen at one point. With Aang as the Avatar and having lots of duties, Katara felt neglected, and at times had to be left behind. At one point she had an affair with Zuko (not necessarily an ongoing thing, but that it happened at least once), and that in fact Bumi is actually Zuko's child. There's evidence for this too. Bumi's features are very Fire Nation, and he looks a lot more like Zuko than Aang. What more, Bumi became the commander of the United Republic of Nations, which is primarily Fire Nation, possibly because Zuko appointed him the position because he knew Bumi was his son. The theory also states that Katara only allowed Aang to name him Bumi because she felt guilty for cheating (remember, she really wasn't fond of the crazy Earth king who almost killed her and her brother). Whether Aang ever found out about the affair is debatable, but if he knew that Bumi wasn't his, he may have been even more neglectful than he already was (it was stated that he neglected his kids except for Tenzin), which caused an ignorant Bumi to seek Aang's attention all the time, and thus the reason he had a similar personality to Aang (personalities are not inherited).

Didn't you realize that for the duration of Katara's pregnancies with Kya and Tenzin, or did you just lose track of time while you were off adventuring while Katara was left behind to do her own duties?

Hola from Argentina, I agree that perhaps there could be a possible kiss between those two. I think the show's creators would have shown even more that war was a thing of the past and now tolerance existed, showing a fire lord married to a woman from the southern water tribe, peasant to his standards because she was only the daughter of Hakoda he did not have a position in royalty. That if it had given more to count, it would be the first unborn in the nation to be part of the royal family and then have children, that one of those was a water teacher, imagine such a great thing and with so much potential. Sorry, I do not speak English and I never learn well how to put together sentences without mixing verb tenses, here the majority of the English they teach is British, but your accent was very easy for me to understand, I will continue to see the zutara videos you make, bye
Totally agree. Even for Zuko It would be very positive to ser from her perspective everything that her people went through.
But it's a shame what happened Next. Both the comics and Korra are blatantly anti-zutara. And her, so mucho wanting to marry Aang to leave her alone as matron and healer. It is a insult to your charecter!!!. And of the latter is seems that only the Zutara complain, because the Kataang seem to agree with this visión🤦🤦
@@carmenrilo2049 You are absolutely right, she was the only one without a giant statue, even the lord of the cabbages had one, and she saved Zuko's life, when the azula ray gave her, the best healer and water teacher, better than men According to the same show, and ends up being just a forgotten housewife in the South Pole, taking care of two children alone without Aang, it is not even known if she was happy, it was clear that she wanted a family, but her family was also Aang and Tenzin , and it is said that they did not spend as much time with her. I think marrying Aang limited and relegated her to just being the girl the protagonist liked and the happy ending, so much development, so much plot, not at all. consider the fact that zuko never released mai from prison after defeating azula. I never liked maiko and the show gave me reasons why this couple would never like me. So i think yes, Zuko and katara it's more than possible, zutara forever xD
Far yall hardcore Zutara shippers, I think for the next book of the Avatar timeline thing, it will be the descendants of the Gaang and for some reason, Zuko and Katara's descendants are named after them (probably the parents promised to name them that or something else). Also if that happens, pls put the descendant of Zuko to be Dante Basco. Also another problem seems to happen again, and they would make another gang.
Also I think it will be amazing if the Avatar timeline in my vision of the Zutara thing would have some twists of modernness

I agree, Kataang is basically just tolerated, and Maiko is straight up ignored. Zuko and Katara had the best chemistry of any pairing. Plus they both act way beyond their age. Plus having one child as a firebender and the other a waterbender would have been good for repairing the world.

Zuko is already in a relationship with Mai that's why it wouldn't have ever worked out they have a long history together he wouldn't have left Mai for Katara especially after what happened in 3x15

I've read a really good "fanfiction" about how Zutara happens in the background of the show.
When you watch the show and keep this fanfiction in mind you can see how much the scenes with Katara and Zuko makes sense as secret lovers.

And this whole katara is motherly for aang is false. Katara just cares about everyone and some people would call that motherly. And see the comics. See the avatar's leagecy. And one of the reason i hate zutara shippers is because every single zutara shipping video is disrespecting aang and make him dirty i guess you're one of aang haters, and why do u think they had feelings for each other

Aang should have been Quasimodo'd. Like Quasimodo, he should have realized romantic partners are not rewards. Aang realizing that Katara wants Zuko and being ok with that would honestly, be growrth and take into account what the Guru said at the end of season 2. Aang seemed so selfish in that episode, treating Katara like a toy he didn't want to give up, even for the greater good. If the finale was Aang reaching the avatar state by letting go of his selfish attachment to Katara and letting her have agency, and not a pointy rock, how much better would that have been?
J.p. Lawrence it really made me confused when Aang gave up the power to connect to the spiritual realm (I forgot if it’s called this) just for a girl. Granted, he stopped the war but the whole world and everyone’s lives depended on him and he gave up an amazing ability for one girl?

Aang WAS ready to let go of katara he even did so in the season finale of season 2 before Azula thunder struck him. Besides katara was never interested in Zuko. The same goes vice versa, the only other person she was romantically interested other than Aang was Jet (and we all know how that ended). Aang never treated katara like a “toy” or a trophy to be won. He treats like a human being and his friend.
Not to mention, it REALLY bugs me that in Asian cultures, monks are supposed to be celibate. Seeing someone dressed in monks robes like Aang kissing someone feels so wrong and disrespectful to the practice.

I don't agree. The Kataang story only came about because the producers wanted It that way, nota because there was a love interest between the two within the show. It has only from Aang. Unilaterally, she always told him that she loved him like a brother. And he treated him like a brother. The kiss at the end is meaningless from a romantic point of view. NONE. It comes from the producer's wish that the protagonist take the gril' s prize. I also don't agree that Zuko helps her out of interest, you're wrong!!! , he cares what she thinks. And he cares a lot, not only because of what happened un Ba Sing se cave. When Zuko joins the wrong Avatar and Sokka lodges him in a room after a while Katara appears and he is very happy to see her, he even wants to go to her side until he sees her enraged face. When his ex-girlfriend helps him in prison he shows neither joy nor sorrow for what could have happened to him. It doesn't matter. Don't think about It again. It is part of the past he lelf behind, even the following night he stays awake at the door of katara's store. Zuko supports her because he cares that she resolves their conflict, which Aang doesn't t. When they go to the theather they sit together and joke, even Zuko Tells him about his uncle. At the show, their relationship is hinted at, not just by the actors un the theather, but the bounty hunter later when she calls them boyfriends. Returning to the theather, she is not uncomfortable with Aang's kiss, she dislikes him and si mucho that she gets angry for giving him her space. And why is she confused? By Aang? Or because another boy Who cares appears??
And finally, YES, they could have kisses when they beat Azula, because the show takes them as couple to that fight, Zuko could go with Toph, she didn't have to go. The moment when he sacrifices himself to save her is orgasmic. And the final nuance, Zuko never took a Mai out of prison, her uncle who was the warden released her, that they were going to crown him as the fire Lord, that tells me many things. Not to you...??? 😉😉😉😝😝

Idk man. Aang was a child in early s1 but grew up a lot so katara started to see him more in a romantic light, she blushes around him multiple times throughout the series, gets jealous of him with other girls, plays with her hair etc. Her interest wasnt not shown, like you said that aspect was more subtle. I just didnt see zuko and katara working romantically, he wouldnt be responsive to her being nurturing, they're both hot headed which would cause arguments all the time. I always saw aang and her communication as being far better, supporting each other etc. Plus zuko had a gf everyone forgets this
Zuko and Katara were never hot-headed. During the time when Zuko joined team Avatar, in Katara's presence, he was calm, soft talking and patient. Where did you get the idea of them being hot-headed ? Plus, in crystal cage, where they got to know each other more and Katara was ready to heal his scar, Zuko was VERY patient and slowly talking to her. They both got along with each other very well.
Kataang is better and your a hardcore zutara shiper and at first aang saw katara as a pretty girl but he grew to understand her
