    Thanks truthfully to Mr Wrighty for inspiration from his videos that he shares worldwide. Also thanks to Anette for helping me out and believing in the idea of great filtration.

    Verkligen spännande projekt. Det vore kul med en uppföljare för att se resultatet och höra era erfarenheter.

    I really like the waterfall that you created, not just because it looks great, but also because you didn't use expanding foam, cement, or extra pond liner to create it.

    Nice job! A perfectionist through and through, everything done with great precision...very professional. Some activated carbon somewhere in your system would really help, hope you get the results you were looking for.

    Thanks very much for the great filming. It would be great to have a sketch of the water movement in the prefilter and the other filter barrels is the prefilter causing a water cyclone effect. Also can the system overflow.i hope to do a similar exercise in Sri Lanka to grow organic vegetables under Aquaponics.
    Look forward to the additional information

    Hi there, thanks for the comment.
    I'm glad your filter is working well, how big is your pond ?
    I started this filter 23rd of august and it's most noticeable on the fish than anywhere else. They have really been relieved by the fresh oxygenated water.
    When it comes to algae in the pond, I guess I have to do as Terry says and put in a UV for next summer, that will help getting rid of the problem I hope 😊. I'm also going to build a sieve for-filter.
    Take care / Joacim

      You don’t need a UV if you have enough plants. Any of the many types of elephant ear/taro plants are great at removing nitrates. As are water hyacinth and water lettuce. And they all look very nice as well.

    This is good. I’m using wrighty’s basic filter lay out myself. But if you narrated it, this would be great. 15 minutes of video with no narration means I have to sit down and watch it, instead of being able to listen while I’m on the road or otherwise working. Not a complaint. But I do wish it was narrated.

    Very Nice indeed! For the moment i am consrtucting a simailar 5 stage system for a 75m3 pond. I will use 2 stages simalar to yours: In the first stage I will use a vorex with brushes to catch most of the solids. In the second stage I will apply Japanese math. Then a fluidised bed will follow. Two stages with lava rock and plants will do the job! Planned end of march of this year. Please post a video with the end result so we can see the clear water in real life!

      Danny Bertram thar sounds awesome. You choose the right way not to use sponge filtration in the first chamber. I would have chosen a sieve filter if I would redo it. 👍🏼

    Snyggt bygge :)
    Hur är era erfarenheter av det såhär tre år senare?
    Hur mycket gick själva materialet för filtret på? Alltså inte pump och media utan all plast typ :)

    Love watching all these builds but no one ever says how big to make them for the size of your pond and their fish load. Also, how do you hide them so they arent such an eye sore?

    Like the Pre-filter I would like to see a clean out of that. I installed a Wrightly Filter on mothers pond and I am working on a 200 micron sieve Screen filter in the first filter. Are you planning on a wrightly pond skimmer also. Nice pond

    • @joacimzehlin9592
      @joacimzehlin9592  7 років тому

      Robert Hansberger yes I'm planning on installing a sieve pre filter as well, instead of sponge. They are quite easy to rinse though, just set them up against a plastic chair and blast them with the hose 😀. As for the skimmer we will have to build one I suppose, in fall there are quite a lot of leaves floating around 👍🏻. Thanks for your comment and please keep me posted on your progress as well , happy ponding 😊

    Nice. Jag har precis rensat en damm och gjort den djupare. Den fylls på automatiskt av grund och dräneringsvatten och har ett bräddavlopp som går till 2 andra dammar. Nu ska jag installera ett filtersystem som kan hantera hundratals kubik vatten. Var har du skaffat skumplasten som är i primärfiltret?

    • @joacimzehlin9592
      @joacimzehlin9592  6 років тому

      Dom blåa har jag köpt på Hornbach, finns olika grovlekar och tjocklekar. Skulle dock rekommendera att du gör ett för-filter i form av en sluttande sil, sieve filter. På det sättet får du bort större partiklar så dom inte blockar skumfiltret för fort. Typ 0,5 mm masker.
      Lycka till 👍🏼och skicka gärna länk när det är klart 😀

      Tack för svar. Du kan kolla på mina klipp. Där finns ett när dammen rensades av grävmaskin, dock bara i ena kanten. Nu har jag gjort det själv grundligt med frontlastare!!
