The philosophy of systems over goals is one of the most important keys to creating sustainable success in life. The part where the audience laughs and Bret goes, "You laugh; we did that" resonates so much with my own experiences. I feel like the vast majority of people don't strive for anything and consequently think it's laughable when they hear of anyone trying to accomplish anything real.

This talk was great. Bret and Jason are genuine in their pursuit of helping others and their tips for productivity and happiness have been really helpful for me already. These two are really impressive and I am so glad Google hosted this talk. The part about work life balance and the flaws of thinking that they are in conflict with each other is a very liberating idea. - Impressive, real and practical. Great job

To each their own, some NEED the social part of being an employee. Others it will kill them. Others NOT being an employee would kill them.

Why are your arms crossed when you speak? Clearly shows you’re uncomfortable and unprepared.

I'm not sure who else you're referring to, but there are know it all types of every skin color so no need to be racist. I do agree with your sentiment. I'm not sure exactly what qualifies these guys to be giving anyone advice.... a narcissistic highlight reel of a few years of surfing and doing yoga? All i heard in this presentation was me, me, me.
