Tom Vorat First, get CFW on your 3DS, then dump/decrypt your game, extract using a tool (Google is your friend), make custom .bcstm audio file (YATA+), rename to song name in the files and replace old songs from extracted game, rebuild the game, and install. Probably also tutorials on UA-cam...

I once smuggled a Blue Shell into first place, but someone was right on my tail and slipstream boosted behind me. But it was a trick, he slowed down just before he would've passed me and I, being panicked, used the blue shell... on myself.
Suffice to say that I lost.

David Crapinshitz you gotta get homebrew and then a bunch of this and that and it's pretty hard lol. To start make sure you even have a version compatible with Homebrew, and if no then do not update and your version will become compatible at some point.
I learned the hard way (rip 3DS, probably lost in China or France for all I know)

I remember I used a Bullet Bill on the last lap after holding it for a bit, and it got me first, right as they got blued. I was so happy...I also smuggled a Bullet into first and used it right at the finish line. Yay me. That race was really stupid, that second one I mentioned about myself.

Is that just a perk of the Monster Tires I wasn't aware of?
(I don't currently have my copy of MK7 to test this myself.)
Only karts with 4.5 Off-Road or higher can keep drifting off-road in this game (even then, there are some exceptions). Only (Red) Monster tires can push you into 4.5 or higher, so... yeah.
I remmember my first mk7 online day.That same day i smuggled a lucky 7 into 1st.

There is this item box in the snowy mountain of MKDS which gives you a high probability of a power item u should take a look at it.

First time I hear of the term "smuggling" in Mario Kart. So, if I get it right, it essentially means that you purposely get left behind to get some powerful items (like blue shells or triple boost shrooms), and then finishing the race in a position that wouldn't allow you to get said items?
