He should win every award available. He was absolutely amazing. It's not very often that I think 'Wow, that was an amazing performance' when it comes to actors, but that was an amazing performance. And I'm not a fan, this is the first thing I've ever seen him in.
Unfortunately thats exactly how he got away with it for so long. He was a white male taking homosexual people of color of the streets and the racist/homophobic police and society in general at the time just let it be.
His performance was brilliant, but the actor portraying Lionel Dahmer (Richard Jenkins) also definitely deserves praise. The scene where he’s informed about his son’s detainment (episode 1), where you see him slowly breaking down while trying to keep a hold of himself - goosebumps!
Evan Peters is a rare actor, he really cares about being able to portray a character to the best of his abilities by going into maximum amounts of studies without getting distracted.
@@jrviade85 I guess you’re more uninformed than you look, you realize how many actors don’t actually study who they’re playing but rather just do as instructed since they already have the job under lock because of their name?
He's extremely talented.. While I loved watching him over the years on AHS, I'm glad to see him finally get a serious role that gives him due recognition from people outside of the AHS fanbase.. He was perfect for Dahmer.
The dude has become one of the greatest actors of this era. You give him a role and he'll be award worthy. The attention to detail, voices, and mannerisms is about as authentic as it gets. You feel these scenes deep and tend to forget you're watching a show. Bravo man you're killing it!
i was just saying this to my husband last night about him. from the change if his voice the way he walks his posture and the way he holds the accent through every portrayed emotion. He really is an amazing actor and very under rated.
I just said that same thing. Evan Peters did a phenomenal job with Dahmer’s accent and how he walks. It had to be rough playing him but he did really well.
He nailed the character dead on. I kept saying why is he so monotone but then watching the actual videos he literally is monotone is everything he talks of
@GarTree 'terribly written shows', do you mean AHS, where he appeared every series as a different character, and played them all *so* well that you forget about previous ones and get immersed in his performance? AHS was *brilliantly* written too
It's amazing how he managed to make you feel the fear in the room just by existing in a scene. Without even talking. He captivated the emotion amazingly. When he went to his neighbors apartment with the sandwich . Gave me chills. He deserves big recognition for this role.
I agree also, I felt such intense anxiety watching that scene. Haven't felt that watching anything for a while. I was genuinely on the edge of my seat, filled with nausea and dread (as dramatic as that sounds 😅) 😱
He also paid an emotional price doing this role. I'm not so sure doing these kinds of movies is good. You all know some budding serial killer will watch this 1000 times. It encourages the next serial killer to want his 15 minutes of fame and maybe even his own movie.
You could see this soft side on this show when he sometimes smiled with his dimples showing. I think they did right choosing him for the role coz Dahmer as himself was having this really weak, softie part that overcompensates with his evil side when he let it taking over. Evan played that so well.
Agreed, so under rated, I have been a fan of his since American Horror Story, just sad he has never really had the opportunity to shine until this. So talented and he stays so under the radar, does not seek the Hollywood attention that most strive. He acts for the craft not the Glory.
Evan Peters, Robert Sheehan, Cameron Monaghan are my 3 favourite actors been watching them all for 10+ years while nobody knew who most of them were, I remember Peters in never back down first time i saw him in anything , But it was american horror story that i learned to love him as an actor id watch anything hes in
This show is so uncomfortable and chilling you can feel the tension, you can feel the pain of the victims, you can feel the anger from everyone involved and I’m so proud of Evan Peters!!!
@@raradinevali Me too. I hated his character so freaking much. It felt like I was witnessing the real Dahmer commit those horrendous crimes and I couldn't do nothing about it! That's pure talent right there!

Dude it was 30 years ago. You don't have to be mentally strong now. Lol you people are sooooooo soft. Do you watch horror movies lol do they need to be mentally strong to murder children in a movie nooooooooooo its called acting.
@@AlphaOmeg-y3h Evan Peters himself isnt demonic but the extend he had gone to play the role of Jeffery Dahmer who was clearly such a terrible yet disturbing person and he was able to show all of that perfectly
Evan Peters is a high tier actor who doesn’t get enough credit for his skills as an actor. He is incredible in this role and every role he plays are always great. I hope he gets the respect that he’s earned over the years. One of the best series I’ve ever watched
He is so underrated. He's a perfect villain or a perfect hero... such a talent! I don't know how can he change his eyes from romantic to evil, but he does it. I'll be here to watch him in any role...
Honestly, I hope Evan is doing okay now after such a terrifying role and the need to subject himself to the chillingness of interviews with Dahmer himself. I also hope the victim's families are doing alright after this.
That’s actually what are a lot of people are saying. I’m sure he is doing more than okay. Just think about the hell he put himself through for the role in AHS: Cult. He can definitely overcome some demons for sure. Evan Peters is honestly such a blessing to have in our lifetime, He’s pure talent & art.
I mean, no...the victim's families probably aren't doing ok. Nor is Dahmer's family. I like Peters so I clicked to see what he has to say but I haven't watched the show. I think it's bizarre to keep dragging this story out. Seems disrespectful and insensitive despite what he says and despite any efforts to not make it so.
@@Maialeen lmfao shut up! This is real life and even these young idiots NEED to see what this world and what people are capable of! So yes, tell this and all the other stories over and over again! Drill it into their young minds so they know what unfortunate real life can be 🤷♂️
@@Maialeen I was looking for this comment! I find it very sad that the Dahmers family got paid but none of the victims families got paid nor did Netflix tell them that they'd make a series about JD. The most offensive part for me is that Netflix said they'd do this series for the victims and families to see their point of view then why did they not tell them in advance? Again Netflix is such disrespectful and They keep doing projects for Cash. -My advice don't spend Money on Netflix.
He says their one rule was to not have it from Dahmers pov and they absolutely nailed that. I think that's what caused the feelings of anxiety, nervousness, and suspense the most was seeing it the way his victims did. Evan was beyond brilliant in this.
As some one who started out with silence of the lambs at age 3 I’m a huge horror/film noir fan and it’s rare at 36 to find something that makes me uncomfortable viewing this within the first 20 minutes had my skin crawling it was amazingly executed from the editing the score the set designs nailed it the continuity was paid close attention to it was just very well made
Yes! I have watch so many things about Dahmar and have NEVER felt the feelings I felt with this series! Specifically, the first scene. My stomach was in knots as if I was the victim or witnessing it first hand. Absolutely terrifying and they didn’t have to use an excessive amount of gore and violence. Evan Peters is a brilliant actor, I just hope he has so much support. I know AHS messed with his head, I would imagine this would be the same.
Ep. 6 "Silenced" really crushed me emotionally. It was the first time we saw in-depth one of the victims living their everyday lives and how much they were loved by their friends/family. Tony had dreams and a full life to live. Ugh... I'm still so sad about it.
@@misterbobo8139 I'm aware...and??? The episode did what it was meant to. These people had lives. Families that loved them. It made me see the victims as more than just victims. Still makes me sad in spite of your efforts to downplay the story. Bye.

Blew me away. That acting was able to take me places I've never seen before in a person. Evan actually nailed the voice too, the mannerisms, everything.
@Blake Crumpler I mean diving deep into detail of what he did can affect you, then to I’m sure method act and try to be him as much as you really can. I’m sure it takes a toll on your mental health.
I've watched Evan Peters since American Horror Story, and you can just see how fantastic a Actor he is. Im so glad people are finally noticing his talent
I just finished Dahmer on Netflix and hes done a terrific job of portraying the monster that was Jeffery Dahmer. When he was telling the neighbour to eat the sandwich was full on scary 😳. Great actor 10/10
Oh yeah that scene was palpable. You could feel the creeps even when he’s acting nice. If Im Glenda I’d probably get out of there as soon as I could but I understand these people lived there coz it’s hella cheap
This guy literally made me extremely uncomfrotable even though I knew I was just watching a show. He brought the horror to real life and I can tell you right now, not many can give you that daunting experience through a screen. Incredible acting from Peters, deserves an oscar and his acting is extremely chilling. Absolutely terrifying.
*Emmy. Oscars are for movies only. This is a TV series. He has a best supporting actor Emmy already, but if/when he gets nominated for this, it’ll be in the lead acting category.
This is how I felt watching this series. There were moments that made me uncomfortable & emotional I had to pause ! Evan peters is truly a remarkable talented artist.
Yes! I watch lots of horror movies and documentaries about criminals yet when I watched Evan portraying Dahmer I felt so creeped out. I’ve never felt that creeped out before. It made me so uncomfortable but I couldn’t stop watching …. He did such a good job.
I agree, but I would also add Niecy Nash to the list. She blew me away, as I had only ever known her as Denise Hemphill of Secure Enforcement Solutions on “Scream Queens.”
Richard jenkins !!!!!! He was soooo goood! He broke my heart so many times on this show watching a father who genuinely and unconditionally loves his son go through this horror that his child has committed.. man. He was good.
Jeremy Renner did a fantastic job as Dahmer. More people need to watch the movie. I'm not saying Evan did a poor job, because he didn't, but I do suggest also watching Renner's portrayal of Dahmer.
I’ve always loved Evan Peters since American horror story, but he really blew it out of the park with this role. He’s such an amazing actor, and he doesn’t get the recognition that he truly deserves. So so talented, and I can’t wait to see his other projects in the future.
This was some of the best acting I’ve ever seen. Evan is the perfect cast to any film / show for these wonky, crazy characters. He just knows how to portray them and act perfectly.
Evan Peters deserves all the praises and awards for this. He is literally always taking these challenges and protraying then in the best ways. And this one was actually a real serial killer! He is so admirable and multifaceted, hope to see him in a comedy like sleep over again to make a relief from all those crazy characters. I adore him so much and won't love to see him affected again like in the past.
i love that Evan knows exactly why Dahmer got away with his murders for so long. he and Ryan really did their research before going into this and i respect that so much.
The things that enthralls me is that he evan in this video and the evan as dahmer looks totally two different person. This guy nailed this role to the t.
Evan plays Dahmer so well that at times you actually forget it’s acting. Some scenes are raw and confronting which people would find repulsive. However I feel this is the best Dahmer depiction ever! He really deserves an award for this❤️
@@redblackshirt Yes! there's a movie where ross lynch acts as Dahmer. I haven't watched it but apparently he's very good but not as good as Evan Peters
Evan Peters deserves the Oscar for it! Already brilliant in AHS, he showed his diversity as an actor. There was no role he couldn't put himself in. I hadn't paid attention to the cast of Dahmer beforehand and was even more surprised when I saw Evan. He is an absolutely exceptional talent. Not many could have played that role. He manages to push the boundaries and stays in character through the most shameless moments. One of the best Netflix series ever! And this man is Hollywood's greatest talent!
Terrible to think that he won’t get an Oscar for this Oscar worthy performance. He truly lived, breathed, and put everything he had into this character. I had to watch this to remind myself that Evan is his own real person and not the Monster he portrayed because it felt that real! 😂
same happened here. I had to watch a normal interview like this one from this actor just to remind myself he is not a killer. In other words, great fkg performance by Evan.

I just finished the series and was completely blown away. Evan Peters played that character so well I had to remind myself that it was a documentary. I truly hope Evan continues to do an amazing job with his roles. He deserves an Oscar for his performance.
Sadly, it’s not a character either :,) People romanticize dahmer in this show acting as if dahmer wasn’t a real person who murdered 17 people, possibly more. it’s scary.
They don't give Oscars for Netflix shows. They only give Oscars for movies on the big screen. It would have to be the Emmy awards. I saw the Emmy awards and unfortunately Evan Peters did not win, but fortunately Niecy Nash won for Best Supporting Actress. But at least he got the Golden Globe award. I think he should have got the Emmy also. His performance was superb.
As an actress Ive admired Evan Peters work from ever AHS character he’s played. He definitely leaves a part of him in his craft. His acting in this character was breath taking, gave me chills. I always judge actors on whether I can forget their “identity” and see them as the “character” they are playing. And he made me feel like Dahmer was right on the screen. Excellent work.
I'm not an actor but that's also how I've learned to judge acting. Do I see them as the character or as an actor playing a role. I 100% believed he was dahmer and even had to turn this show off a bunch of times. And I can handle a lot in terms of horror/gore/etc. This was just legitimately disturbing and he did an amazing job telling a very difficult story.
Evan is so underrated as an actor he deserves so many awards for his work. I hope this will get him his well deserved award. He’s always been so fantastic at portraying complex characters.
His performance was completely PHENOMENAL. It was on spot on how he played this terrifying person, he’s incredibly talented. I truly hope he’s okay after playing such a dark role. He definitely deserves more recognition and an emmy for this, i absolutely adore him & his acting skills !!
I agree, I think it's probably helpful that he has played in many dark and disturbing seasons with AHS.. of course this is his darkest Role but I've always seen him as the guy that plays these dark roles so well. So hopefully that will help him overcome such a role as Dahmer.
Completely agree! He actually stopped doing AHS bc apparently the show was going too dark...which surprises me after seeing his chilling portrayal of Dahmer in this series. The commitment required to play such an intense character would take a psychological toll on almost anybody...Heath Ledger is a prime example😔I hope he gets an Oscar for this. He deserves it.
Just finished all 10 episodes,Evan Peters did a phenomenal job portraying Dahmer,he nailed his mannerisms, facial expressions, how he spoke and was truly chilling, how Ryan Murphy also addressed the racism, discrimination, white privilege and ignorance from the police was truly remarkable! This is by far one of the best true crime drama series I have seen in a while
White privilege? There are plenty of white victims of serial killers and the reason dahmer went on for so long was because the police sucked ass at their jobs.
I will be shocked if he doesn't win MULTIPLE awards for this. He did so damn well in this and so did the many other actors. This whole docuseries is just magnificently well done.
If he doesn’t win a single award for his performance as Dahmer then there is something seriously wrong! He was absolutely outstanding! This was a fantastic series, disturbing but brilliant! RIP to all the victims!
A lot of the victim’s families did not like this. They had to relive the trauma. Don’t get me wrong Evan peters is amazing especially in AHS. This was an extremely sensitive subject for people.
I think Quentin Tarantino needs to seriously consider this man for his next/final movie. Evan Peters, yet again, proves how absolutely phenomenal he is. His acting range is extremely good. When you close your eyes and listen to Evan.. It's Jeff. Dude made props for going to the mental places you had to, and obviously did, in order to give it justice. Absolutely fabulous. All the supporting cast members? Amazing amazing amazing. Great job to everyone involved. This is Evan's Picasso. What a masterpiece.
They did an incredible job of on the victims’ storylines. My heart was broken for all of them, something you’d never get out of a documentary or other biopic that glamorizes him.
@@Yvette_Wilson I think part of it was that you knew he actually wanted to have something special with Dahmer and the story took you into all of his dreams and aspirations. This was the hardest episode for me to watch.
Right? The last time I got actually tearful was when I watched the John Wayne Gacy documentary on Netflix. I couldn’t help crying throughout Dahmer, especially during the parts with Konerak.
he will never get one for a role like this same as tony Curtis best performance ever as the Boston strangler but didn't get an award for it seems hollywood and rightly so doesnt pay tribute to performances of serial killers
Just finished this series and Evan Peters seriously put himself up there in the halls of some of the best actors ever on screen with his portrayal of Dahmer. Wow.....just, wow.
Yeah I think the character he created here is on par with other horror supervillains like Anthony Hopkins as Hannibal Lecter, Christian Bale as Pat Bateman and Daniel Day Lewis as Bill the Butcher. In a word: Phenomenal.
I didn't know Evan Peters before watching his portrayal of Dahmer. I can't speak to his past performances, nor do I need to - the convincing and compelling imitation of a serial killer, his presence and aura, demonstrates that this artist is in the 1%percentile of talent. Superb job mate! And thank you for confronting head on the hard and controversial roles, many in your shoes would have run for the hills.
His portrayal of Dahmer was so realistic it terrified me to my core even though I watched multiple documentaries previously on dahmer so I knew the story beforehand but this guy did a tremendous job
Anyone who has seen him in AHS knows he is a tremendous talented actor… He portrayed every character with such a finesse, it’s totally mind boggling. And as expected, he once again did an outstanding performance in this show. Truly remarkable how he played such a complicated role with such refined skills. I tip my hat to this magnificent actor!
I've said this so many time's! Remember hotel? He played H.H Holmes or a version of him, he was amazing!! Every role in AHS was phenomenal, he is a wonderful actor.
The friendship/relationship between Jeff and Tony was so sweet and just nice to watch, it almost made me forget what I was actually watching, and my chest just instantly felt heavy when I realised what was going to happen. It's so sad and bizarre that this was a real person
evan peters was phenomenal. his acting felt so real, it genuinely looked like he was insane, goosebumps. but i’ve also gotta hand it to Richard Jenkins who played lionel dahmer. his acting felt incredibly real too, him and evans acting together felt so authentic and truly felt the sadness and pain throughout the people they’re playing. those two truly embodied those characters it was absolutely spectacular. emmeys, both of them. chills.
Evans attention to details with this character is incredible accent, little expressions... The fact that he genuinely dives so deep in to character deserves so much praise. Ryan Murphy also choosing to do it from different perspectives worked so well. So well done absolutely couldn't have picked someone better . Outstanding !!!! 💓

He blew me away with his performance. As an actor to put yourself in the skin of an actual serial killer must be truly something else. To absorb Dahmer’s mannerisms, behavior, accent and even the soulless look in his eyes must’ve taken a toll on Evan for sure. He deserves several awards for this powerful performance. I think he was amazing.
Yeah to think every time Evans sees himself in the mirror, he has to see a part of Dahmer since he trained to be him for this production. I hope he’s okay and doesn’t have any nightmares about any of that kind of stuff because like you said, it must take a toll on him in some way.
The crazy part is that it doesn’t show as much gore or sexual activity as you would expect. The scenes are always cut right before the physical acts and we don’t get to see them and you return for the aftermath. Some how with climax and anticipation they take you there, to that uncomfortable feeling. The uncomfortable feeling you would imagine feeling being in the same room as Jeffery Dahmer. Very well done.
It is so brilliantly done..I was wondering how Peters managed to go through this. How he went to that dark place...the victims and their families were shown so much respect.. perfectly balanced..hats off to the entire cast and crew..I felt like I was there..actually felt it actually smelled it!
“The victims and their families were shown so much respect” some of the victims families actually dislike the show , no one was notified of the show and are just learning of it
This series is like watching a train wreck unfold but being unable to look away. I am fascinated by the storytelling and at the same time disgusted by the reality of the events. This is Evan Peters' masterpiece IMO. I highly recommend it to anyone.
I don't know why didn't show more of Dean M Vaughn. He was hung in the apt but doesn't show he was one of Dahmers victims. He was also found with photos in his pocket.
This dude killed his roles in American horror stories. I always thought that this man is going places. Many years later he gets a lead part in this series, I can only imagine after his part as Dahmer he will get massive roles in the future. He is very talented.
I just finished this series and man, Evan did such an AMAZING job. I will admit, the show was pretty brutal to watch but the whole cast really brought out the emotion and significance of it. Yall stay safe out there!!
Evan peters deserves every award that he could possibly win for his portrayal of Jeffrey Dahmer on the show. He portrayed someone who was so mentally and honestly, physically unable to be a normal human man. He had to get into the psyche of someone who viewed people that he had brought home from clubs or bars, while he was blackout drunk as victims and tortured and possibly consume them, and that is something that I would think, would be hard for any actor to “digest“. The fact that Evan could get into that mindset and is acknowledging the fact that it was something that was incredibly hard to do is exactly the reason why he is such an incredible actor. He always dives straight into every role he has ever had in anything. He is incredible in every single thing that he has ever portrayed and this is the first time that he has portrayed someone who is the actual human being that existed on this earth. Yes, every other person he has ever played as someone that was based on real people but not an actual person. And I think that makes him so diverse and how he can dive right into any rolls of his handed to him takes it on fully with no questions asked honestly. There aren’t many actors out there that are like him. I wish him all of the awards he deserves everything. Free
As a avid crime podcast listener, watching this felt so real. I can’t imagine how hard it was doing this series on the actors, but they did it so well.

Evan is such a brilliant actor- you can tell how serious and devoted he is to his roles- it’s actually insane how he can morph into so many insane characters
Evan Peters is a phenomenal actor and really captures the darkness of this character. It is actually so realistic that it makes you worry about him having to go that deep into such a dark character. It must be really difficult to pull yourself back out of that. He deserves big recognition for this project as does Niecy Nash. She really got a chance to spread her wings here and she not only flew but she soared !!!
I’m on episode 7. I was ugly crying on episode 6. It was almost like I was rooting for Dahmer to make a connection, despite the fact that he’s a murderer. The actor that played Tony was FANTASTIC! It was so gut wrenching! Evan Peters deserves a Golden Globe, SAG award, and another Emmy for this. The actor who played Tony, I hope he gets his accolades as well! Brilliant work!

Evan Peters did so well that I used to forget that he's an actor and not the real JD. He played JD better than JD himself which clearly shows how an amazing actor he is.
He freakishly nailed every element of Dahmer imo. Evan Peters is highly underrated, he is an absolute excellent actor. I love it when actors do these kinds of roles because you really get to see them express their talent in new and unexpected ways. I wouldn’t say Peters is typecast, but a good number of his roles have been sort of comedic goofball type stuff, so when you see someone like him play a role such as this, it really is impressive to watch this whole other side of their capabilities as an actor come out. @@BlaireBlaireBlaire agreed even though there’s alot more to Dahmers story they did a pretty good “ Long story short” on this mini series
Maybe because he's an actor and that's his job duh!!
@@jrviade85 I guess you’re more uninformed than you look, you realize how many actors don’t actually study who they’re playing but rather just do as instructed since they already have the job under lock because of their name?
When he has to play a role, he focuses a lot, which is what makes him a great actor. 🤍
I can’t believe how accurate Evan peters does his voice in this series. It sounds just like him from the interviews. This man is so talented.
MY EXACT THOUGHTS OMG!!!!!
I said the exact same thing!
The way he said ‘Kenosha’ in episode 2 I was like, “Yup! He’s got it. He’s secretly a Wisconsinite” 😂
cause evan is from Missouri, so the midwestern accent is pretty much the same with little differences here and there
He's extremely talented..
They better stop snubbing him.
i was just saying this to my husband last night about him. from the change if his voice the way he walks his posture and the way he holds the accent through every portrayed emotion.
That scene really was intense and gave me chills too.
If someone kept telling me to eat a sandwich when I keep saying no then I would've already thrown it away or have it as evidence
@@SpaghettiElieYes Indeed 😂😂😂
The fact that Evan Peters can look so soft/kind in real life but then completely change when acting- it’s just immaculate acting!
You could see this soft side on this show when he sometimes smiled with his dimples showing. I think they did right choosing him for the role coz Dahmer as himself was having this really weak, softie part that overcompensates with his evil side when he let it taking over. Evan played that so well.

It'd s really good series, was expecting nothing less from Evan but the show in general is really good
That’s weird cause it actually gave an interesting point of view from Dahmer as well and why he committed his crimes

The friendship/relationship between Jeff and Tony was so sweet and just nice to watch, it almost made me forget what I was actually watching, and my chest just instantly felt heavy when I realised what was going to happen. It's so sad and bizarre that this was a real person
It depicted what it's like to be idealized, devalued & discarded by a Cluster B personality disorder perfectly. Most heartbreaking episode
Same!!!!
Same here...
Non of that was real, it was all fantasy, he killed him the first day and he was fantising a relationship with his body.
@@loki-thegodofmischief3288 Definitely giving borderline vibes!
evan peters was phenomenal. his acting felt so real, it genuinely looked like he was insane, goosebumps. but i’ve also gotta hand it to Richard Jenkins who played lionel dahmer. his acting felt incredibly real too, him and evans acting together felt so authentic and truly felt the sadness and pain throughout the people they’re playing. those two truly embodied those characters it was absolutely spectacular. emmeys, both of them.
It's been so spooky to see Dahmer portrayed so well, Evan Peters absolutely nailed this performance.
He has nailed this role. Binge watching .. you get chills every minute. He Definitely deserve loads of recognition for the role that's so hard emotionally and mentally.
Made my stomach churned. He nailed it down, the voice, the accent, mannerisms.. it's chilling and scary. He's definitely done a fantastic job on this series. Him and Niecy Nash..
It was kind of boring. I skipped to the end. Evans was good, but the series was totally predictable and unnecessary. We've seen this story told one too many times.
@@wazgoodjj Yeah we already knew about Dahmer alot...but this series brought victim's stories, neighbours, parents stories and so many more Red flags into light. The bits and pieces we knew all make so much sense now.

I heard he did so with his American Horror Story role in season 7 I believe. Taking on the portrayal of these characters is no joke.
Evan should win an Oscar. Fantastic actor.
He did win the golden globe award
He blew me away with his performance. As an actor to put yourself in the skin of an actual serial killer must be truly something else. To absorb Dahmer’s mannerisms, behavior, accent and even the soulless look in his eyes must’ve taken a toll on Evan for sure. He deserves several awards for this powerful performance. I think he was amazing.
If you watch this show with an open mind, it’s one of the top of this year no doubt!
Yeah to think every time Evans sees himself in the mirror, he has to see a part of Dahmer since he trained to be him for this production. I hope he’s okay and doesn’t have any nightmares about any of that kind of stuff because like you said, it must take a toll on him in some way.
Him and the actor who played his father both deserves awards!!
You woudn't recognise his father in dahmer, But its the same actor who plays the Father in the movie step brothers
@@QrazedGaming yeah and elf 😂
Agreed plus the actress who plays Glenda 👌🏼
Lionel was played by Richard Jenkins, an absolutely wonderful actor
Yes the dad did amazing!!!
I'm very thankful it didn't show as much gore!!! Bc the show was already too much for me to handle
Yeah they did a really good job with the series
Worded this very well !!
He is able to play anyone and keep us watching. Pose was a funny small part I appreciated. American Animals is awesome.
That Sandwich scene had me screaming ya'll 😱
I'm watching this series, and he really made the role so realistic
It is so brilliantly done..I was wondering how Peters managed to go through this. How he went to that dark place...the victims and their families were shown so much respect.. perfectly balanced..hats off to the entire cast and crew..I felt like I was there..actually felt it actually smelled it!
“The victims and their families were shown so much respect” some of the victims families actually dislike the show , no one was notified of the show and are just learning of it

His portrayal is out of this world! The gesture, the way real Jeff talks and the looks are all on point!
He looks nothing like him. A chimpanzee could portray this character just as well.
“Jeff” 😭
This series is like watching a train wreck unfold but being unable to look away. I am fascinated by the storytelling and at the same time disgusted by the reality of the events. This is Evan Peters' masterpiece IMO. I highly recommend it to anyone.
I don't know why didn't show more of Dean M Vaughn. He was hung in the apt but doesn't show he was one of Dahmers victims. He was also found with photos in his pocket.
I’ve met Evan in person and he’s so nice and humble ❤
This dude killed his roles in American horror stories. I always thought that this man is going places. Many years later he gets a lead part in this series, I can only imagine after his part as Dahmer he will get massive roles in the future. He is very talented.
He needs to win awards for this. You can tell how much he put into the role. He was absolutely amazing. I watched it twice.
So I thought I was crazy for wanting to watch it again 🤣 thank you
Same I watched it twice in 2 weeks
Omg hahahah I watched it twice and started to question myself😂😂😂😂😂😂

I just finished this series and man, Evan did such an AMAZING job. I will admit, the show was pretty brutal to watch but the whole cast really brought out the emotion and significance of it. Yall stay safe out there!!
I re-watched the series again just because of his acting. Otherwise I can barely watch anything with that kind of graphic content.
@@SummeRain783 I’m watching it again rn🤣
What do you mean brutal? There were hardly any gruesome scenes
This is what I said the picture they painted was dne better then any doc or movie they have dne I’m a avid crime show watcher too nd he did a great job portraying this monster also the writers did a great job.
When you're getting millions and millions it makes doings things a lot easier on the mind.

Evan Peters is a phenomenal actor and really captures the darkness of this character. It is actually so realistic that it makes you worry about him having to go that deep into such a dark character.

Evan Peters has proved to be one of the finest actors of his generation. His performance in this show was so stomach churningly authentic, it left me with an awful sense of doom for days even though I knew its just a show. Its one of those times when you just *have* to pause the show to google the actor to check whether he's actually a bit deranged irl
lol...i googled ecverything while watching...mom, victims, 911 calls, interviews, locations, etc. took a week to finish it
But the thing is it isn't just a show. This happened. That's why i had a hard time watching this..
He got the looks, the voice, the accent and the mannerisms down perfectly! If you close your eyes it’s Jeff’s voice. Truly creepy and a testament to Evan’s acting skills. The directing, editing and camera work is also absolutely genius as well!
plus the soundtrack and the songs used to this series is on point...
Evan Peters did so well that I used to forget that he's an actor and not the real JD. He played JD better than JD himself which clearly shows how an amazing actor he is.
He freakishly nailed every element of Dahmer imo. From the accent and rhythm of speech, to the scary and dark look in his eyes, his demeanour and inhuman aura it just felt like watching the real account of the Milwaukee monster through memories, it felt too real that it actually haunts my mind after watching it.

I wouldn’t say Peters is typecast, but a good number of his roles have been sort of comedic goofball type stuff, so when you see someone like him play a role such as this, it really is impressive to watch this whole other side of their capabilities as an actor come out. He played Jeffrey Dahmer so well that when I started watching this interview, I thought “what happened to him,” in the sense that I was expecting to see “Dahmer” instead of Evan Peters. Absolutely flawless acting.
