This song has been an all time favorite of mine. This re- arrangement with the change in tonality to fit Sofie’s and Paul Carrack‘s voice works perfectly. The song has a new and individual touch to it without loosing the original character. On Paul Carrack‘s „Old, New and Borrowed“ the piano solo is replaced by an acoustic guitar. I prefer the piano/keyboard in this version. Also the orchestration gives it an emotional depht that makes this a great cover version. Thank you to Belgium from Germany.
@@downesy68 Legitimate objection as Paul Carrack wrote/cowrote the song. And this version is released on his Old, new and Borrowed Album. So the Producer Herve Martens and the string arranger came up with a different arrangement. Its definetly not a Cover. Thank you for pointing it out. If you found that gem on youtube i guess you like this as well

I didn't realise Paul wrote this with Chris Dufford - should that be Difford (Squeeze maestro)? Anyway I love the Eagles version where I discovered the song but this is a beautiful version too.
