I’m calling it now: the NightWings are getting a perfect score of *10/10* They’ve had BY FAR the most involvement in the series’ lore and there are so many unique intriguing things about them. They’re moonlight powers, their ancient advanced kingdom, their skills in secrecy and always staying one step ahead of everyone else, and their notable characters. Starflight and Moonwatcher are phenomenal protagonists, Morrowseer and Darkstalker are incredibly deep antagonists, Deathbringer, Clearsight, Foeslayer, and several others are super memorable fan-favorites! The NightWing tribe is directly responsible for the majority of the series’ entire storyline! I have a strong feeling that, despite reviewing all the other Pyrrhia tribes before the Pantala tribes, Charcoal wants to save the best for last. If there is ANY tribe in the whole franchise who could get a full ranking from him, it’s the NightWings. DARN IT I WAS WRONG
That being said, I think it's time for more tribes to have more development/the spotlight. Don't get me wrong, I love NightWings, but they're kinda overrated at this point.
I just had the craziest idea right now. If NightWing powers depend on the day the hatch, for example, 2 full moons, they get powers. And in real life, you can determine what month your child will be born in by the time you get pregnant… so this means of a ton of female dragons get pregnant at the same day or night, and count the months, days, or moons, they can make sure they will have a dragonet who holds power! This means that they could make an army of mind-reading and future-telling dragons! This is by far the best idea I’ve ever had in my life.

My thoughts of Nightwings were really bad in books 1-4. I felt like they were "boring" and kinda a stupid tribe..... But in the 2nd arc my thoughts changed so much, that nightwings became my 2nd favorite tribe! a Solid 8/10 for me

The main reason the battle at jade mountain happened wasn't exactly because the icewings found out about darkstalkers awakening. The main reason the battle happened was because darkstalker sent the plague to kill the icewings and about 20 of them did die including queen glacier which understandably made them very mad

Whiteout engaged with a Nightwing named Thoughtful and had several dragonets, none animus, and died peacefully in her sleep only after having one last prophecy, about Moon and Darkstalker meeting. (You can simply find this on google in the Wings of Fire wiki or just typing "what happened to whiteout" in google.)
The only thing we do know is that thoughtful and whiteout had dragonets and jerboa l mentioned her descendents in book 14 as for that other thing you said there's no actual prove of that
Correction the bracelet broke during the fourth brightest night not during the opening of JMA Also Moon didn't take the drink that was pineapple up Moon only got to the mind space because she was reading pineapples mind at the time which is kind of weird and also kind of cool and I don't know how that works but yeah Oh and I think each Moon might be more specific than just the number because we find out that they actually have names which might mean that if you hatch under say Oracle and imperial you won't get mind reading powers even if both are full and maybe you'll just be a stronger fear I don't I don't know if that's specific it could be possible though so maybe it depends on which moons are full But that last part just my theory not a real correction unlike the first two

Actually the reason why they stopped having powers was because they feared the powers because of darkstalker, and started the traditioning of keeping their eggs away from the moons.
I'll be honest, the Nightwings seem... aggressively stupid. They get their powers from moonlight, and in their infinate wisdom, they move to an island where they have no access to moonlight. Then when they finally take an egg away from the island, it is on the Brightest Night. There's a possibility of creating another DarkStalker, but this time, he's on their side! And even if he's not an animus, he'd still be the megapowerful NightWing that everyone thinks all Nightwings are... aaaaaand they decide to let it hatch in a cave, so he's just as powerless as everyone back on the volcanic island. That's just.... the biggest oof xD
In my headcannon, battlewinner and the icewing were kissing but the icewing got spooked and breathed frost breath down her throught, its more likely then that managing to happen in a fight

Hi, I noticed a mistake at the end of the Story. Moonwatcher did NOT drink a something that allowed her to mindread with the Othermind. Pineapple accepted tea/a drink from the HiveWings which was spiked with the breath of evil, which led him to being trapped in the Othermind with Dusky and Luna. Moonwatcher, being a mindreader, figured out right away something was wrong along with Qibli due to Pineapple's weird behaviour and managed to communicate with Luna, Dusky, Lizard, and Coyote(?) by going into Pineapple's mind. When Coyote(?) mentioned Pineapple accepted a spiked drink, Pineapple and Moonwatcher both realized that's how was "infected." She and Qibli then kept "Pineapple" as hostage, using his body to speak to the Othermind.

That explain why starflight doesn't have any powers his egg wasn't exposed to any moon light. I honestly think it’s really unfair that the night wings are under the rain wings control. I think they should find new territory cus I don’t think the rain forest suits the night wings very good and also that the tree leaves will cover the moon light
