It has more torque than my civic
Filip Anonim what do you expect it's a Honda
Its only cus the vtec hasn't kicked in yet
Powered by honda
lollll
Has more torque than my Integra LS Type R swap too. but thats cause we've got low displacement 4 cylinders.
The impressive thing isn't that you built a gearing system that could convert the reasonably small amount of torque the engine produces into lifting 1kg. What is REALLY impressive is building a machine with loads distributed across the pieces enough that the flimsy plastic Legos could handle it. THAT is truly impressive!
Mr. Bennett To be fair, LEGO are pretty durable. But then again, you don't test them on 100kg everyday.
ABS - the material used in Lego is quite strong, almost as strong as PLA. m.ua-cam.com/video/q3f5D3bmN1o/v-deo.html
redstone craft guy dude, I love pla, but plb is probably the best out there.
@@luongmaihunggia pla kinda sucks

Development effort is the best part of the video, very nice
well for reference, i have a winch in my truck rated for 9 tons, the motor itself is smaller than a coffee tin, electric motors are always impressive. hope you wore eye protection.
I did protect myself with reading glasses and ear plugs. Also took a couple of steps back. The tension is pretty scary even with 50kg.
Electric motors are impressive but for a winch you don't necesarilynneed a motor with very high power to weight ratio. Its the gear ratio is the key not the motor. You would better use a 300w motor, tin can size, which weigth 1kg and is very rugged with good bearings rather than a motor like I have on my longboard that is weighing like 500g and has a 64mm diameter witj 100mm in length and can output 2.7kW which is 10 times more powerful. Well that is were E motors become impressive. I bet your winch motor doesn't produce more than 300W. Trifase Asincronous motors like those on tesla cars, also produce a lot of power, even more than permanent magnets (neodymium) ones,.
At the contrary, this video shows how a crap motor can produce a huge final torque/force.
Actually, the electric motor rating is the rating where it does not burn up - it's 24/7 rating. Electric motors can actually increase their torque and horsepower well beyond their contiuous rating when they become over loaded, but if left in this condition for too long can and will result in a motor burn out.
That pulley piece is going through ENDLESS SUFFERING.
No wonder Lego’s are training to lift us. We are stepping on them all the time!

Oh you mean fartnite's "when you got killed" sound

I like to imagine dude activating his lego from 2 meter away in case of some shrapnel flies off
Its scary how it just EXPLODES
According online, plastic is said to able to withstand 600 kilograms of pressure.
I must admit torque was made…
BROKEN PIECES… BROKEN PIECES were made.
i dont understand how a lego motor could lift me like holy crap how do any of the parts survive this
perfect testing
Many body builders cried after watching this.

Come back in 3 Years when we successfully lift a Toyota Prius
To be honest, I cannot lift 100kg barbell. That lego is stronger than me.
Congrats now you got an achievement because you spook me 5 freaking time
The amount of heart attacks this must’ve given you while building lmao
It just explodes
Wait, if this is true, then that means the universe will release all its energy back into itself when is can no longer support its own mass. Thus recreating itself.

That thing could lift me up around 3 times bruh
If the *thomas Edition* will be here then they would appreciate your Consistency😊
Awesome! Would be cool if you manage to make a setup to lift yourself with it :)
That lego motor can lift my 145 pound self
damn, you could lift a semi heavy person with that!
Stop LEGO torture!! LEGO has feelings too!! :)

I now trust legos with my life
Also those failures were so violent!

WOAH 100kg, enough to lift my cat
this channel is awesome! just subscribed
you should make a very basic go-kart powered by this motor.
Yeah, that go-kart would be able to go with 0,1 km/h xD
There's going to be some missing kiddie fingers
Im still waiting to see this system lift a prius
It can lift me twice, nice
This thing could lift me almost twice
100kg is about 220 freedoms (pounds) to my fellow muricans.
R.I.P bush and axle 12
so you build 2 of these and it lifts a person under 200kg
Pretty cool
Make four of them and see how much you will carry

Are batman gadgets secretly made of legos?
Wow you mean this thing could lift me up??
This is awesome!
and now, use this to do things like an automatic crossbow :D

I have a question .... does gears give power?
is there a set that sells a majority of these pieces? For a project of mine for university

A moment of silence for all the parts broken by this amazing endeavor...
Rest in peace😪
*Rest in pieces :(
They weren't broken. They were customized.
When a Lego motor can lift more than me.
just install some gears into your body :)
All about the pulleys man, you get a ton of pulleys and you can easily lift it
yes. The weight the motor feels is not 100kg! :). I don't know how to follow the calculations from the top of my head, but it's all about the pulley system - it's that system that is loaded. Pulleys here in this build cuts the real weight in half many times over :). Not that the build wasn't impressive, I'm not saying that at all. And tho the pulley system makes it very easy for the motor, the wire still has to do it's job.
We used to pull up large tree roots from the ground after cutting the tree down using a pulley system from root through pulleys and to the car. :). Being careful not to snap the wire tho and kill someone :D
That's normal though, the gear sacrifice speed for torque. That's why it's so strong, if you have a lever you can be this strong too.
good joke but with which muscles? if your legs cant lift 100kg i doubt you can walk
Personally, I do not think, that the motor is the main star of this show. The real demonstration is that the structure and gears were able to withstand this load.
Кто знает перевод
Перевод чего? Комментария выше? - Вообще я думаю, что не мотор главная "звезда" этого ролика. Это скорее демонстрация того, что конструкция и механизмы способны выдержать такую нагрузку.
Right. When i was at Science center Heureka (In Finland), there was a Mini Cooper (car) hanged to ropes and there was like 20+ gears and another things, and i easily lifted the car by pulling the rope.
Horcik Designs thats what she said
Go-Karts and Gaming Kinda don't agree. I do see what you are saying though. The point of the project was to show that the motor could provide the required power to lift the load. And it did. The use of a block and tackle I assumed. I don't think your example matches. Just IMO though.
Mechanical advantage ftw

So It could lift me. Slowly. But still. Woah.
You weigh 100kg? You're fat, dude.
God damn do some sport or something
he said it could lift him, he did not say he weighed 100kg. he could be 65kg and his statement would still hold true.
greg77389 You idiot. you could weigh less and it coult still lift you. This doent hold exclusively 100kg
These comments man xD
But atleast some of you got it right. Of course I dont weigh 100Kg. Im not a sporty person but that's a bit too much.
"Why is Lego expensive?"
Well it may be overinflated compared to 10 years ago but damn it you get what you pay for. Some high quality plastic.
good feet destroyers too
maybe lego is the only plastic in this world, which is worth the pollution
Yeah, You just need to construct right version of what you're building, so that work
It’s nit high quality though...
@@leduc6919 ...and other jokes to tell yourself
Hello UA-cam, I did it.
I finally clicked on this video that has been in my recommendation for 4 months.
🤣🤣😂🤣😂
Did you regret it?
Any ideas for new experiments? Overvoltage lego motor? Measure lego axle breaking point? Spinning lego wheel the fastest I can?
Spinning the lego wheel as fast as you can sounds nice, but I'm also curious about lego motor overvoltage.
well i was thinking you buy 100kg worth of weight or put on 100kg worth of stuff and trust me, different outcome
tear a brick apart by the same technique

Do a motor overvoltage video!! wohoo!!
Please use nitrogen cooling for best results.
love it - yes! also maybe a lifting to part best ratio. 50 pieces best lift 50lbs, 50 pieces best lift 25 lbs. etc... Different builds
This is why lego is so fantastic
P3HWNiE it’s fake
Gianni Cafaro go back to school
Gianni Cafaro Use your brain and engage in critical thought.
P3HWNiE You don't need to go to school to be enlightened my friend.
That's just the gears that increase the torque, gears are everywhere not just in Lego.
It's good to see you went through so many failures but didn't give up. People also forget that you had to set up the camera as well store those tests every time, which is a lot of work too
Make this with a pneumatic motor. 40Rpm And 400KG
The motor didn't fail, it was the structural integrity of the parts that were the limit. The plastic Lego uses is not intended for that kind of stress.
The pneumatic engine would just blow up so.. yeah
Lego: *plans the best place for your stepping on them*
BEC: *sees this*
Lego: and what will you do???
BEC: make you torture.
Lego: how???

I never knew that LEGO had the potential to be so powerful. ;)

@@verygoofyfunnyit you
Yo
Why did you wink, were you going to strap your nuts to it?
I have to find the video where you juiced your nuts using this
Respect ! the development phase was fun
Can you make a video where the engine really raises 100kg?
Perhaps next summer (because now it's snowing here in Finland) I can find enough large rocks and lift them off the ground. It will be only about 1 millimeter off the ground which may not be that impressive demonstration, but anyway. Might be still fun. :)

“Come back in ten years when we can lift a Prius!”
Awesome, thanks for the video! Interesting though that those little gears are holding up well, as the smallest ones are the most fragile parts ever.
Try xl motor its VERY strong
Alex Novotny The problem with this isn't that the motor can't lift enough mass when geared down enough, it's to make the structure strong enough to allow the motor to lift 100kg.
