@@SaxandRelax Well as written here, the upper-woodwinds just sound too pretty. Its missing that depth, that power you would normally get from the brass but would be too overbearing. Sax is the perfect blend of light and sassy which is exactly what the song portrays.

@@SaxandRelax Thanks! As much as I am a self proclaimed band geek, I'm even more passionate about proper instrumentation. Each instrument has it's strengths and weaknesses, and just because something CAN be, or is "traditionally", done, doesn't mean it should be. The greatest pieces, and the best arrangements, are those that make the best use of the instruments at their disposal. That may create some boring or challenging parts at times but if its done with integrity, not only will the audience feel it but you as a musicians will feel it too. And that's the true power of music.
