Sorry that your cards were stolen. When I went to Japan last year I put all of my cards and video games that I bought into my carry on bag for that reason because they would of been harder to replace then anything else I bought.

im curious. Why not mail the cards back home instead of putting them on a checked bag in a plane? I've seen too many stories of bags getting destroyed/lost/stolen from by airlines to have any trust that they would get my cards home safely. Mailing them seems more efficient and cost effective in every way.

rule #1, keep anything valuable in a carry on. checked luggage these days is susceptible to theft and airlines rarely do anything about it. i always take a carry on and a backpack and fill it with all my valuables. Clothes in a checked bag if a longer trip. cant trust anything in this economy.

Do you have any more info on where/how it was stolen, maybe why aswell? Also cant you take legal action or atleast try and get your insurance to cover it (assuming you have travel insurance)
