I think the worst part about Ellen forcing Mariah to come out about her pregnancy was that Mariah miscarried after her appearance on the show. Ellen always seemed like she enjoyed embarrassing her guests way too much for my liking.

There is a reason why the MLP show made sure to put little white dots over the characters' pupils. Because if you don't include those, then you get exactly this kind of uncanny valley.
It depends on what kind of vibe that you want on the animation. If you want a cartoony style, you don't have to put realistic highlights and gradient is fine. However, Little Ellen gives off a more detailed look, when the eyes look creepy without highlights.
Because networks may wanted be “kid friendly” but wouldn’t give a shit when they writer are being creepy. Seriously it seems that Elise gate has creep into tv.
the episode about ellen's cat being depressed could be an accurate metaphor: the cat is a stand-in for the audience, while the other characters are the show trying to entertain you
If you want a very good modern pre-school show then just watch Bluey. It's oddly wholesome, handles it's messages really well, has a banger ost, doesn't have obnoxious child acting and has much better writing compared to a lot of other stuff they make for younger kids nowadays, especially this garbage.

The sad thing is that the animation studio for this is Lighthouse Studios, a studio in Ireland co-owned by Cartoon Saloon ( Wolfwalkers, Song of the Sea, Secret of the Kells) and Mercury Filmworks (the 2013 animated Mickey shorts, Tangled the Series, Wander Over Yonder, Kid Cosmic). The fact two of the best indie animation studios could not save this animation wise is baffling

I wouldn’t mind it if that wasn’t in _every, single_ episode. Or at least the moral be “You can’t always get what you want but sometimes things work out differently” like in that game night episode if it ended with Ellen and her friends not being allowed to join the adults but they make their own game night. Even _Monsters University_ managed to pull that off.
She’s always treated asian people bad. When Psy’s Gangnam Style was at it peak, she had him on the show and honestly it felt like she didn’t care. Like he was there to train Britney Spears the dance rather than talk to him and ask him about his songs. Then obviously the translator getting shit for not translating fast enough, which knowing a few words in a couple Asian languages, I know that translating them to understand stand in one language is pretty hard if they aren’t similar languages. Then these next too are pretty fucking sad. She had BTS and SuperM (which is a subunit of guys from other groups, SHINee, Exo, & NCT/WayV, a group made from people of existing groups) and honestly treated them like some no named artists. She didn’t introduce them (which in Korea they do, but we are in America and that’s pretty sad, even though most have easy to say stage names and even she has said a Korean name, the director of Parasite; she just rather not give time of day to people she doesn’t care for). Then she only talks to the member who speaks English the best (RM in BYS and Mark in SuperM/NCT) which is shitty as well, because they have other members that should be respected because they are bringing her views (which is why I think she has them there). And worst of all, she asks who they are dating…..like that’s asking a female actress here “oh, so did your superhero costume allow you to wear panties and a bra”…..yeah, it’s fucking rude and literally has no real meaning on their music. And I’d you don’t know, Korea is very small and you literally can take a day trip around the country. So if a crazy stalker or an anti-fan heard they were dating and came to where they live, they might be harmed. That makes that question very wrong and I don’t know why anyone would ask it. Now I will address I have been a K-Pop fan (not Stan) since 2009 and I still listen, but I point this out because Ellen treats these very popular artists wrong and literally even got hate from SuperM members, since they saw these cool videos of American celebrities get to have fun and they got boring and rude questions. And she is making money off them with the views they bring. So I think she’s a bitch for being rude and a user. Especially when you look at James Corden, who has had many K-Pop artists since 2016 I think on his show and really gives them fun things to do. And this isn’t only a Ellen thing. Most news outlets and interviewers treat K-Pop artists like they aren’t big on music charts, blowing up views on UA-cam, and literally funding America (especially SM, since they buy a lot of Demos from western artists/companies). I mean they have literally taken over stuff but get treated differently because they aren’t “American”, which is funny, because so weren’t the Beatles, Queen, One Direction, and many other artists I can think of now, but they get respect and such because of knowing English (even though many K-Pop Idols can sing in English and many of them are from Western countries). Sorry for this being so long and I know I’m going to be called a Stan, but I’m really not. I love music and I find the way K-Pop has this “we don’t start drama to just start drama” really nice with “feuding” western artists and seeing artists who put on amazing performances. I used to not know who Ellen was or what she did, but now that I know........I miss those days. She's honestly a pretty terrible "celebrity", boss, person, etc. Yet she seems to never get any form of punishment or get called out because gay. Though it is nice to see people talking about how bad she is instead of stanning her for being gay.
There really shouldn’t be a such an embarrassment behind being a stan. I’m a kpop fan myself but I don’t really make the difference between calling myself a kpop fan or a kpop stan. It’s really locals who care about that stuff. But yeah, the way she treats Asian artists is horrible. As an NCTzen myself I can’t watch pretty much all of their American interviews or read articles about them (or any group, for that matter) from western sources because there’s this weird otherization of kpop idols in the way that these people see them as sort of less than human? Surprised you didn't mention South Park in the section where you talked about the lineless art style. Because yes, fricking South Park, a show deliberately made to look crude, somehow got this right. While the backgrounds of the show are just as colorful as the characters, they're slightly more duller and static to not get caught up amongst the characters. And the characters are often dressed in outfits with varying different colors to try and make them stand out more and not blend in with the background.
Aren't they animated with Blender. . . I Find it hard to believe that characters who look like they're Flat 2D Cut-Out Characters; ARE ANIMATED WITH 3D Modeling Software!!

I seem to be an outlier in that I actually get along well with my elders by default. The fact that all their knowledge and experience is being ignored by basically everyone these days is beyond tragic. Especially considering how much trouble could have easily been avoided if people actually learned their history. I would hope that an idea like yours could help with that, because for all the radical changes of the past couple generations humans are still the same as we've always been there's a shared foundation to build on regardless of generation, it just needs the right framing to bridge the gap.
"Rapunzel's Tangled Adventure" has a really nice Lineless Art Style and Character Designs; so nice, that I kinda wish the original movie made use of that art style (not just saying that because I want 2D Theatrical Releases to make a comeback).
Tangled was in fact supposed to be animated in that style, but for whatever reason Disney wasn't able to get it to work properly for what they wanted -- that's their excuse anyway, they could also have been spooked after the under-performance of Princess & The Frog. It sucks that Americans hate 2D animation nowadays, at least for cinemas.
I always thought Rapunzel's Tangled Adventure took inspiration of from the personal art style of Claire Keane, concept and production designer of Tangled and daughter of Disney Renassaince animator, Glen Keane (who was almost the director of Tangled before stepping down to a producer role). Rapunzel was modeled after Claire as Glen's loving tribute to her, even had Rapunzel's habit of painting murals in her tower be a way of him granting her childhood wish of painting her bedroom however she wanted (Rapunzel's murals were provided by Claire Keane, herself).
That show has some gorgeous shots, too. Two that really stood out to me were Varian's Let Me Make You Proud reprise (when he stands up) and Rapunzel's hair coming undone when she recites the Decay Incantation. That show was really slept on
I'm having flashbacks to the G3 MLP reviews. I distinctly remember making a card in 1000 Blank White Cards about the ponies that stare into peoples' souls.
Honestly, the art style isn't bad. At all. It's actually very cute. The eyes not having highlights isn't that bad or creepy. I think it's because the eyes are colored with gradients. Ellen's mouth disappearing on her face is a valid criticism because none of the other characters seem to have that problem. _Tangled: the series_ and _Wild Kratts_ also don't use outlines. I mean, I'm not the biggest fan of those art styles either, but at least be fair about it.

When people say ANY FORM of the “it’s for kids” argument, I have always dragged out this rebuttal, If anything, due to it being aimed at children it should be held to a higher standard THAN THIS, children are impressionable, they’re not dumb but they learn a lot from those of seniority, which is partially why you may hear often “please don’t swear in front of the children”, the problem with the “just for kids” argument is also that people think “Oh it’s aimed at children we could make it total shit like Caillou was, who cares if kids actually become bratty because it works for Caillou, we don’t need to add any moral standings besides what the episode is supposedly teaching, if we can even call it that.” Entertainment needs to be held at higher standards than Caillou standards, picture Caillou as the lowest point of “educational” TV for children, stay above that and you will do just fine
That really depends though. I don’t think every kid thing needs to be some breathtaking masterpiece or needs to appeal to my cynical adult sensibilities, but what exactly is the nature of the work? Is it for little toddlers or older kids? Is it teaching any questionable morals? Does it attempt to have more mature themes or intricate characterization that only older audiences will get more out of? Just my two sense.

With Cartoon Network going back to past ideas that have failed miserably with their Pre-K block and their upcoming live action block. It has me genuinely worried about the network’s future.
7:35 Nickelodeon’s The X’s is also a good example of no outlines done right. The backgrounds are mostly static colors so that the characters don’t blend into the background. Also the designs of the characters are mostly geometric so they don’t feel to complex
Same with CN's Foster's. All the characters were kept bright and colorful and the backgrounds were kept muted so characters always stood out. Giving them such creative designs helped them be more visible too. (Also, I really enjoyed The X's. It's pretty obscure now, but I liked it when it aired.)
Dancing seems to be an important part of the show, which is odd as the real Ellen has all the grace, rhythm, and dancing skill of an arthritic old man.

it could be me being a nostalgia biased, but as someone who remembers Little Bill, not exactly fully watching it, I don't see that show being bad. Keep in mind this was BEFORE the big controversy downfall of Cosby's career, which is sad given I like watching his show "Kids say the darnest thing" before the scary reality of what he did. With Little Ellen, I remember someone showing me upcoming shows for the new future being told for idk what reason why this was claimed to be aiming towards kids, this to me has every right to be shamed on BECAUSE of it being made AFTER her big downfall career. This show will tank fast.
His controversy notwithstanding, Bill Cosby's "Himself" is an amazing piece of stand up that holds up really well. A lot of his work does, for better or worse.

No one can deny Bill Cosby is a scumbag and, we now know, has been for a long time, but the work he did for television was important for the medium. Fat Albert, badly animated as it was, talked about things never seen in a kid's show before. The Cosby Show was the first sitcom where AA weren't poor.
This may not be the best cartoon review I've seen (even on this channel), but the EDITING? Sublime. A major step up from anything I've seen in a long time. Really tied the whole thing together. I hope to see and hear more like it in the future.
He has changed a lot. As much as I still love his earlier videos, I have to admit that the editing in those were subpar even for UA-cam standards at the time (still better edited and made than Filipino local TV shows, though). Mr. Enter’s editors do a great job with editing his videos.

Don't get me wrong a lot of garbage animated films and shows did get released last year but I felt there was a handful of really good ones---Arcane, Invincible, Sunset Paradise, Murder Drones, Star Wars: The Bad Batch, The Legend of Hanuman, Tear Along the Dotted Line, Maya and the Three, Kid Cosmic, Inside Job, just to name a few.
Granted I didn't watch all of his recent episodes, but given the criticism of his character, Caillou did get better in the later episodes, when they added a game at the end of the show where Caillou would "ask" the audience to play a game with him.
What is even the point of this show? Not only making a show on one of the most controversial TV personalities of all time, but educational babies show? What? She’s anything but! She doesn’t even have anything to do with kids media (Asides voicing Dory, which only makes it even more gut wrenching, and I’m not counting that book either for the fact other celebs do this). It’s kind of the opposite of the show The Prince, which is about a kid personality in a Family Guy clone (Seriously? How much do you need of these trolling shows?). On short, that cat in the cartoon is showing exactly what I feel about this ludicrous idea.
The Ellen and her cousin thing is causing me to flashback to the awful Sailor Moon English dub with Sailor Uranus and Neptune and the network moral gaurdians screaming "No, it's ok, they're not lesbians, they're just cousins!!!!!!!"

i actually really like the art style its cute, though it doesn't bother me i think the problem with the eyes is that the irises seem to be styled after baby doll eyes, adding to the uncanny valley feeling.

If I remember correctly, the cartoon Madeline was meant to be set in the 1930s/1940s, since that when the books came out. The show even ran with that idea like having an episode focusing on Harry Houdini, who was still alive at the time. So it’s not impossible for a preschool show like Little Ellen to do something similar with the 1960s

I think they released Little Ellen at such a "bad" time in attempt to rage bait and garner publicity and sales. Overall, it's seemingly quite a generic cartoon, so otherwise nobody would see it without Ellen's name attached to it, even if only watching to hate. Honestly the artstyle is kind of cute, although clearly on a budget, I don't understand why Enter finds it so repulsive. It's clearly not in the same category as Problem Solverz.

I've seen Little Dory before and it looks and feels like something that was made to cash in on her former glory. Also, I have one thing to say about Little Bill now: the cutout artstyle with little to no outlining *worked* for it and the theme song rocks. This? Not so much. *beat* The Ghost and Molly McGee, really? How is that awful (or am I mishearing?) Also, what about Green Eggs and Ham? Or is that also bad? - because I'm still waiting for season 2 of that show.
I wouldn't say that 2021 was a really terrible year for animation as we have shows like Invincible, Eliott From Earth, Inside Job, Arcane, the revival of Tuca And Bertie, and as for a better 2021 Preschool series, I think Gabby's Dollhouse is a pretty fun show as we had terrible shows aimed for preschoolers like Thomas And Friends: All Engines Go and Little Ellen especially that they are a rough start on Cartoonito being CN's preschool block, not only that but I think that the Johnny Test revival (as a surprise) and Jellystone are pretty good shows.. I do hope that 2022 is a good year for animation as we are having a pretty good start with We Baby Bears and Smiling Friends. As for Ellen herself....man....she did change for the worse and how the cartoon itself is predictable and that the eyes do need a little eye shine as it would look a little less creepy.
Trese was also quite good. It’s a better representation of Southeast Asia than Disney’s Raya and the Last Dragon. And it’s surprising having a show of such high quality come from the Philippines, considering how our productions often have even worse production values than the regular UA-camr schmuck. I am not exaggerating when I say Mr. Enter’s earliest videos are even better edited and well-made than most Filipino shows and films. Hell, Star Giant Productions’ Mr. Enter videos are even better made than most Filipino shows and movies. And then comes Trese, which is honestly extremely well-made even for Hollywood standards.

As an infant/toddler teacher the Jimmy Fallon mama and papa books are a big hit with one years olds and are pretty great introducing them to animal sounds and common objects

I think the worst part about Ellen forcing Mariah to come out about her pregnancy was that Mariah miscarried after her appearance on the show. Ellen always seemed like she enjoyed embarrassing her guests way too much for my liking.

It depends on what kind of vibe that you want on the animation. If you want a cartoony style, you don't have to put realistic highlights and gradient is fine. However, Little Ellen gives off a more detailed look, when the eyes look creepy without highlights.
I Never really had a Problem with Characters having No White dots in their eyes in this show. . . I Actually prefer them that way!

If you want a very good modern pre-school show then just watch Bluey. It's oddly wholesome, handles it's messages really well, has a banger ost, doesn't have obnoxious child acting and has much better writing compared to a lot of other stuff they make for younger kids nowadays, especially this garbage.

The sad thing is that the animation studio for this is Lighthouse Studios, a studio in Ireland co-owned by Cartoon Saloon ( Wolfwalkers, Song of the Sea, Secret of the Kells) and Mercury Filmworks (the 2013 animated Mickey shorts, Tangled the Series, Wander Over Yonder, Kid Cosmic). The fact two of the best indie animation studios could not save this animation wise is baffling

She’s always treated asian people bad. When Psy’s Gangnam Style was at it peak, she had him on the show and honestly it felt like she didn’t care. Like he was there to train Britney Spears the dance rather than talk to him and ask him about his songs. Then obviously the translator getting shit for not translating fast enough, which knowing a few words in a couple Asian languages, I know that translating them to understand stand in one language is pretty hard if they aren’t similar languages.
Then these next too are pretty fucking sad. She had BTS and SuperM (which is a subunit of guys from other groups, SHINee, Exo, & NCT/WayV, a group made from people of existing groups) and honestly treated them like some no named artists. She didn’t introduce them (which in Korea they do, but we are in America and that’s pretty sad, even though most have easy to say stage names and even she has said a Korean name, the director of Parasite; she just rather not give time of day to people she doesn’t care for). Then she only talks to the member who speaks English the best (RM in BYS and Mark in SuperM/NCT) which is shitty as well, because they have other members that should be respected because they are bringing her views (which is why I think she has them there). And worst of all, she asks who they are dating…..like that’s asking a female actress here “oh, so did your superhero costume allow you to wear panties and a bra”…..yeah, it’s fucking rude and literally has no real meaning on their music. And I’d you don’t know, Korea is very small and you literally can take a day trip around the country. So if a crazy stalker or an anti-fan heard they were dating and came to where they live, they might be harmed.
That makes that question very wrong and I don’t know why anyone would ask it.
Now I will address I have been a K-Pop fan (not Stan) since 2009 and I still listen, but I point this out because Ellen treats these very popular artists wrong and literally even got hate from SuperM members, since they saw these cool videos of American celebrities get to have fun and they got boring and rude questions. And she is making money off them with the views they bring. So I think she’s a bitch for being rude and a user. Especially when you look at James Corden, who has had many K-Pop artists since 2016 I think on his show and really gives them fun things to do.
And this isn’t only a Ellen thing. Most news outlets and interviewers treat K-Pop artists like they aren’t big on music charts, blowing up views on UA-cam, and literally funding America (especially SM, since they buy a lot of Demos from western artists/companies). I mean they have literally taken over stuff but get treated differently because they aren’t “American”, which is funny, because so weren’t the Beatles, Queen, One Direction, and many other artists I can think of now, but they get respect and such because of knowing English (even though many K-Pop Idols can sing in English and many of them are from Western countries).
Sorry for this being so long and I know I’m going to be called a Stan, but I’m really not. I love music and I find the way K-Pop has this “we don’t start drama to just start drama” really nice with “feuding” western artists and seeing artists who put on amazing performances. And I do agree the K-Pop industry is messed it, but a lot of it is the Korean culture and that we also have the same problems.

I used to not know who Ellen was or what she did, but now that I know........I miss those days. She's honestly a pretty terrible "celebrity", boss, person, etc. Yet she seems to never get any form of punishment or get called out because gay. Though it is nice to see people talking about how bad she is instead of stanning her for being gay.
There really shouldn’t be a such an embarrassment behind being a stan. I’m a kpop fan myself but I don’t really make the difference between calling myself a kpop fan or a kpop stan. It’s really locals who care about that stuff.
But yeah, the way she treats Asian artists is horrible. As an NCTzen myself I can’t watch pretty much all of their American interviews or read articles about them (or any group, for that matter) from western sources because there’s this weird otherization of kpop idols in the way that these people see them as sort of less than human? Like they’re not really people and just cute things to look at that’ll get their website/UA-cam page views. It’s disgusting.
Makes me think about when I made the mistake of clicking on an article that had all of the 127 members listed on it but it was their real names and not their stage ones and also called Johnny and Mark by their Korean names Youngho and Minhyung. Like, why? The entire tone of the text was super… exhibitionist? Like, they were saying “wow! Look at this kpop group with TEN members, that’s right, folks, TEN! Isn’t that so many?!” As if locals are gonna be able to know or remember who Jung Yoon-oh or Dong Sicheng are versus Jaehyun and Winwin.

Surprised you didn't mention South Park in the section where you talked about the lineless art style. Because yes, fricking South Park, a show deliberately made to look crude, somehow got this right. While the backgrounds of the show are just as colorful as the characters, they're slightly more duller and static to not get caught up amongst the characters. And the characters are often dressed in outfits with varying different colors to try and make them stand out more and not blend in with the background.

I seem to be an outlier in that I actually get along well with my elders by default. The fact that all their knowledge and experience is being ignored by basically everyone these days is beyond tragic. Especially considering how much trouble could have easily been avoided if people actually learned their history. I would hope that an idea like yours could help with that, because for all the radical changes of the past couple generations humans are still the same as we've always been there's a shared foundation to build on regardless of generation, it just needs the right framing to bridge the gap.

"Rapunzel's Tangled Adventure" has a really nice Lineless Art Style and Character Designs; so nice, that I kinda wish the original movie made use of that art style (not just saying that because I want 2D Theatrical Releases to make a comeback).
There is also Puffin Rock.
Tangled was in fact supposed to be animated in that style, but for whatever reason Disney wasn't able to get it to work properly for what they wanted -- that's their excuse anyway, they could also have been spooked after the under-performance of Princess & The Frog. It sucks that Americans hate 2D animation nowadays, at least for cinemas.
I always thought Rapunzel's Tangled Adventure took inspiration of from the personal art style of Claire Keane, concept and production designer of Tangled and daughter of Disney Renassaince animator, Glen Keane (who was almost the director of Tangled before stepping down to a producer role). Rapunzel was modeled after Claire as Glen's loving tribute to her, even had Rapunzel's habit of painting murals in her tower be a way of him granting her childhood wish of painting her bedroom however she wanted (Rapunzel's murals were provided by Claire Keane, herself).
Carmen Sandiego also uses line-less art to great effect.
That show has some gorgeous shots, too. Two that really stood out to me were Varian's Let Me Make You Proud reprise (when he stands up) and Rapunzel's hair coming undone when she recites the Decay Incantation. That show was really slept on

Honestly, the art style isn't bad. At all. It's actually very cute. The eyes not having highlights isn't that bad or creepy. I think it's because the eyes are colored with gradients. Ellen's mouth disappearing on her face is a valid criticism because none of the other characters seem to have that problem.
_Tangled: the series_ and _Wild Kratts_ also don't use outlines. I mean, I'm not the biggest fan of those art styles either, but at least be fair about it.

When people say ANY FORM of the “it’s for kids” argument, I have always dragged out this rebuttal,
If anything, due to it being aimed at children it should be held to a higher standard THAN THIS, children are impressionable, they’re not dumb but they learn a lot from those of seniority, which is partially why you may hear often “please don’t swear in front of the children”, the problem with the “just for kids” argument is also that people think
“Oh it’s aimed at children we could make it total shit like Caillou was, who cares if kids actually become bratty because it works for Caillou, we don’t need to add any moral standings besides what the episode is supposedly teaching, if we can even call it that.”
Entertainment needs to be held at higher standards than Caillou standards, picture Caillou as the lowest point of “educational” TV for children, stay above that and you will do just fine

That really depends though. I don’t think every kid thing needs to be some breathtaking masterpiece or needs to appeal to my cynical adult sensibilities, but what exactly is the nature of the work? Is it for little toddlers or older kids? Is it teaching any questionable morals? Does it attempt to have more mature themes or intricate characterization that only older audiences will get more out of? Just my two sense.

With Cartoon Network going back to past ideas that have failed miserably with their Pre-K block and their upcoming live action block. It has me genuinely worried about the network’s future.
I will agree that most of the Pre-K block are abysmal, but there are some gems. My son is rather fond of Bing and Thomas All Engines Go!

7:35 Nickelodeon’s The X’s is also a good example of no outlines done right. The backgrounds are mostly static colors so that the characters don’t blend into the background. Also the designs of the characters are mostly geometric so they don’t feel to complex
Same with CN's Foster's. All the characters were kept bright and colorful and the backgrounds were kept muted so characters always stood out. Giving them such creative designs helped them be more visible too. (Also, I really enjoyed The X's. It's pretty obscure now, but I liked it when it aired.)
I tend to forget that Nickelodeon's The X's was a thing... but the artstyle was good, I'll admit that.
Rapunzel's Tangled Adventure is another good one. A lot of the shots in that show are visually gorgeous because of how they use color.

Dancing seems to be an important part of the show, which is odd as the real Ellen has all the grace, rhythm, and dancing skill of an arthritic old man.

The only good children’s book written by a person in television that comes to mind is How Murray Saved Christmas, written by former Simpsons writer Mike Reiss, but I’m not sure that counts because he was a writer and not a performer.

it could be me being a nostalgia biased, but as someone who remembers Little Bill, not exactly fully watching it, I don't see that show being bad. Keep in mind this was BEFORE the big controversy downfall of Cosby's career, which is sad given I like watching his show "Kids say the darnest thing" before the scary reality of what he did. With Little Ellen, I remember someone showing me upcoming shows for the new future being told for idk what reason why this was claimed to be aiming towards kids, this to me has every right to be shamed on BECAUSE of it being made AFTER her big downfall career. This show will tank fast.

His controversy notwithstanding, Bill Cosby's "Himself" is an amazing piece of stand up that holds up really well. A lot of his work does, for better or worse.

For anyone talking about what he said about The Ghost and Molly McGee & Centaurworld, he was meaning that he thought they were the only good cartoons of 2021.
Though with him only mentioning those 2, I'm wondering if this means he has not seen Invincible and Arcane, considering how everyone says how great they are.

@@MediaNutso This brings up a genuine argument on how much we could or should separate "art" from the "artist". No one can deny Bill Cosby is a scumbag and, we now know, has been for a long time, but the work he did for television was important for the medium. Fat Albert, badly animated as it was, talked about things never seen in a kid's show before. The Cosby Show was the first sitcom where AA weren't poor.

This may not be the best cartoon review I've seen (even on this channel), but the EDITING? Sublime. A major step up from anything I've seen in a long time. Really tied the whole thing together. I hope to see and hear more like it in the future.

As much as I still love his earlier videos, I have to admit that the editing in those were subpar even for UA-cam standards at the time (still better edited and made than Filipino local TV shows, though).

I don't know if I would go that far. Don't get me wrong a lot of garbage animated films and shows did get released last year but I felt there was a handful of really good ones---Arcane, Invincible, Sunset Paradise, Murder Drones, Star Wars: The Bad Batch, The Legend of Hanuman, Tear Along the Dotted Line, Maya and the Three, Kid Cosmic, Inside Job, just to name a few.

Based on Little Ellen’s “everything falls into your lap” structure this show kinda makes Caillou look like Paw Patrol.
Granted I didn't watch all of his recent episodes, but given the criticism of his character, Caillou did get better in the later episodes, when they added a game at the end of the show where Caillou would "ask" the audience to play a game with him.

What is even the point of this show? Not only making a show on one of the most controversial TV personalities of all time, but educational babies show? What? She’s anything but!
She doesn’t even have anything to do with kids media (Asides voicing Dory, which only makes it even more gut wrenching, and I’m not counting that book either for the fact other celebs do this).
It’s kind of the opposite of the show The Prince, which is about a kid personality in a Family Guy clone (Seriously? How much do you need of these trolling shows?).
On short, that cat in the cartoon is showing exactly what I feel about this ludicrous idea.

This show is a clear example on how important eye shines are. Without them, it makes your character look empty.
The Ellen and her cousin thing is causing me to flashback to the awful Sailor Moon English dub with Sailor Uranus and Neptune and the network moral gaurdians screaming "No, it's ok, they're not lesbians, they're just cousins!!!!!!!"

i actually really like the art style its cute, though it doesn't bother me i think the problem with the eyes is that the irises seem to be styled after baby doll eyes, adding to the uncanny valley feeling.

If I remember correctly, the cartoon Madeline was meant to be set in the 1930s/1940s, since that when the books came out. The show even ran with that idea like having an episode focusing on Harry Houdini, who was still alive at the time. So it’s not impossible for a preschool show like Little Ellen to do something similar with the 1960s
To think the same studio behind this also animated the upcoming CupHead cartoon.

I just realized something:
Ellens reflection in the mirror is NOT looking in the proper direction.
For some reason instead of mirroring where ellen is looking at(which is the cat in this scene) the reflection is looking AT the cat instead of mirroring ellens eyes, which makes it look like ellens reflection is staring at the floor, how did they fuck reflections up so bad?

Alright, I'm not saying the show isn't garbage, it probably is. But I don't see how their designs are uncanny. Ellen looks pretty adorable to me (Even though it feels incredibly weird saying that, considering it's supposed to be Ellen DeGeneres)

I think they released Little Ellen at such a "bad" time in attempt to rage bait and garner publicity and sales. Overall, it's seemingly quite a generic cartoon, so otherwise nobody would see it without Ellen's name attached to it, even if only watching to hate.
Honestly the artstyle is kind of cute, although clearly on a budget, I don't understand why Enter finds it so repulsive. It's clearly not in the same category as Problem Solverz.

I honestly think the artstyle of this show is great. I am probably the only one but i love how picture book artstyles and this is probably the best one.

I believe the implication was that Molly McGee and Centaurworld were at least okay and everything else he listed after those two were awful.

I wouldn't say that 2021 was a really terrible year for animation as we have shows like Invincible, Eliott From Earth, Inside Job, Arcane, the revival of Tuca And Bertie, and as for a better 2021 Preschool series, I think Gabby's Dollhouse is a pretty fun show as we had terrible shows aimed for preschoolers like Thomas And Friends: All Engines Go and Little Ellen especially that they are a rough start on Cartoonito being CN's preschool block, not only that but I think that the Johnny Test revival (as a surprise) and Jellystone are pretty good shows.. I do hope that 2022 is a good year for animation as we are having a pretty good start with We Baby Bears and Smiling Friends. As for Ellen herself....man....she did change for the worse and how the cartoon itself is predictable and that the eyes do need a little eye shine as it would look a little less creepy.
Trese was also quite good. It’s a better representation of Southeast Asia than Disney’s Raya and the Last Dragon. And it’s surprising having a show of such high quality come from the Philippines, considering how our productions often have even worse production values than the regular UA-camr schmuck.
I am not exaggerating when I say Mr. Enter’s earliest videos are even better edited and well-made than most Filipino shows and films. Hell, Star Giant Productions’ Mr. Enter videos are even better made than most Filipino shows and movies.
And then comes Trese, which is honestly extremely well-made even for Hollywood standards.
