This video perfectly encapsulates the challenge of having a conversation with Lawrie while there is absolutely anything around with wheels or an engine without him getting distracted.
Some day you can come to minnesota usa in june to the back to the fiftys car show there is usually around 15k cars spread out over the state fair grounds. Years are 1964 and older cars. I will drive you around in my 1916 willys knights street rod
What day were you there, as I was there on the Sunday. The rarest cars i saw were the unmodified Toyota Supra's and Mazda RX7's. Although the standard of all the cars, trucks, buses, vans, tractors and motorbikes on display were excellent. The only thing I didn't enjoy was waiting for the delayed train to arrive before going to the show only to find it was representing a full sardine can, so I had to wait a bit longer for the next one which was less full.
Difference is Ian gives facts on the cars and Lawrie just goes around going adding to his list of I wants of cars, tractors, trains, buses and other interesting vehicles.
A British auto show sure is interesting, bunch of cars I had never seen except in James Bond movies. Whats with all the 3 wheeled cars, with a single the front wheel? How the hell do you go around a corner in that?
I simply refuse to go to shows in the UK now, especially at the NEC, ticket prices of up to £60 and then parking and food on top, looking at over £100 for a show day, and it’s always the same old stuff and the same old guy selling “never dull” drill bits, Just depressing.
You do NOT want a C4 Corvette. They look cool on the outside, but the seat is in a tub, and gents our size can not get out of one while looking cool. Kind of negates the whole thing. Get a C6.
Sigh... NEC wss on my bucketlist for ages, but due to Brexit it's no longer viable to come over to buy cars there ☹️ When are you lot coming back to the EU and introduce the EURO? Would help so much...

Awwww Lawrie in his happy place...thats not being covered in soot...and very much loving Charles points, hahaha
Cheers for bringing us along. Nice to see @tastyclassics Panhard making an appearance.
I WAS THERE TOO!!!!! Would have been cool if I had seen you there tho. I was wandering around and helping out on the mmocym stand a bit
If 'I want that' were a drinking game I'd be in a coma after watching this 😂😂🤣
Brilliant. Thanks guys👍🏻
So funny seeing cars from America that nobody would really care about here getting love and praise across the pond.

The boat canal thing is a capstan winch, loop a rope or chain around it turn it on pulls the rope around it.
WOW, a car show without 6 Chevelle SS clones for every other car. It's a treat to see that many of what are foreign makes to us over here.
that was ok thank you, didnt go this year

Lawrie and Hubnut dropped one minute apart😁

That's pretty much the truth of it
When there's no trains I prefer it😊
@terryatkinson3182 I am guessing Lawrie will be back at the end of November at the NEC extending his wish list but for model trains.
A wise man once said- cars? CARS? CAAARRRS!!!!!!!!!!!!

I cannot take you seriously at the NEC unless you're wearing a HiViz vest. 🙄🤣
Lawrie i think you own to many vehicles
Hi I know this is a car video but I have a name suggestion for the Ruston, how about Rusty.

C6 just doesn't do it for me.
There's an old video on the channel of me driving one in the US and loving it
Laurie has a different take on the show, makes a change from his rivals 😊
Can't stand the drivel about rover's, he didn't dwell on them too much 😊
