Queen and UK Treasury set to profit from record-breaking offshore wind rights auction (09/02/21)

Major oil companies, including consortiums involving BP and Total, have bid billions of pounds to secure rights to construct offshore wind farms around Cymru, according to The Financial Times.
The record-breaking auction run by the Crown Estate is set to deliver £8.8bn over 10 years to the Queen and the UK Treasury.

If we where an independent country this is one way for funding Wales but has usually the money just goes to money will the price of electricity go down we produce twice as much as we need but don't see a decrease in the bills just crazy
