- It's rant time!! Recently I've noticed the state of the roads in the UK is getting worse and worse which poses a HUGE issue for the MOTORCYCLING community! Even the smallest of POTHOLES can cause a motorbike to lose control and crash which doesn't bare thinking about the potential consequences.
These things need to be fixed which pretty high priority. So anyway, sit back and enjoy me losing my head for 10 minutes straight with the occasional (very often) profanity!

Worse than potholes is when the council put that horrible loose stone surface on and never put any signs up. I was riding on a lovely country road went round a corner not crazy fast was under the speed limit and boom in the middle of the corner they decided to put loose stones, and the rear of the bike slid out luckily managed to regain the rear.

I've been riding for 28 years and the pot holes and general state of the roads are third world atm, and the worst I've ever seen.
It's incredibly dangerous for bikers and the worst always seem to be on bends of roundabouts
Yeah I totally agree, especially some back roads, some are genuinely unrideable.

Roads around West Yorkshire are terrible for us bikers especially ones still learning the ropes like me full of pot holes and very lumpy the majority of roads around here need properly resurfacing

You're not wrong about the state of the roads, Pud. Especially round our way. You can literally feel the change in the road surface when you go from north yorkshire or the peaks to our west yorkshire roads, especially calderdale and kirklees. Shameful.
Oh tell me about it mate!!! Lovely up in the Dales but I get close to home (I live in calderdale) and everywhere is just pastied

I have friends who work doing the roads all out of work ....

This is all the WEF's plan to end private ownership. My council where im from in Northern Ireland, have nothing to do with the roads its the department of infrastrucure responsibility.

Yeah exactly not ideal at the best of times. Hahaha I had to leave a few in for you lot!!! I take zero responsibility for the inevitable usage of meth following my expletives! I would advice putting the meth money into bike stuff instead though! Can't snort a Scorpion exhaust but gives a better high.

The roads in the UK are awful. The shit councils only care about putting speed restrictions and other nonsense that nobody wants. What pisses me off, we have to have an MOT to make sure our bike is safe for the road, but the roads are not safe for motorcyclist. I think every motorcyclist should ride to London and protest.
Yeah exactly doesn't work both ways does it, this is why everyone should ride with a camera, because if you get knocked off because of a pothole and you have evidence on camera you have a really good case to get a payout.
They've had the funding for the road infrastructure but squandered it on folly that nobody asked for this gov is to blame for micro managing council funds and forcing them not to spend on the things t hat need spending on. According to data it would take 11yrs to fix the UK roads. Around election time you may find local roads near a constituency start magically getting fixed however.

I almost died thanks to a pothole yesterday :(, I had one cause a death wobble once too.
Happens way too often doesn't it mate! I saw a pothole today what someone has filled with bricks hahaa not exactly the best fix

Come to Scotland you have not got pot holes Scotlands roads are shoking nearly lost control last year to onwards traffic was a close one 10 seconds I was hitting a lorry scary

Puds got the red mist 😂... potholes are a new challenge for me now, my last ride out I went round an island I've been round many times in my car but never on my bike and a massive sunken manhole right on the line I took almost took me out 😱🤣 I tried to change my position but I was commited in the turn and it was a tight island as well so it didn't go as planned and I almost binned it 🫣🤣, also I've noticed I don't get nowhere near as much rage as I did in a car when on my bike 😁 but I did just upload a video of some douchbag pulling out on me and I may have had a little rage 🫢😆, have you decided on a day for the rideout yet bro?
Oh I absolutely got the red mist buddy! Yeah it is crazy the amount of things you pick up on when on the bike as apposed to the car. Less rage because people are just happier riding the bike. Only get rage when you nearly get knocked off. Not decided just yet bud but I am sorting a date this week!!!! Can't wait!

Sportbikes are the worst bike you could get for riding on pothole rough roads.
You may aswell use an offroad bike just to use the UK road they now considered off road roads.
