Please keep the flea markets and shows coming! I'm always looking for serviceable ratchets and quality pocket knives. I'm a sucker for fine glassware also, I get it.
Sorry you missed out on the motor tester, but you can't look back. I've found these days more than ever, if you see something you want (need has nothing to do with it) you have to grab it. You may never see one like it available again. Anyway, glad you enjoyed yourself and for sharing with us.
Thanks for the tour. You picked up a few very cool tools, nice job explaining them. Like you, I too keep saying I won't buy any more tools. Thus far, it hasn't worked for me ....lol
I knew your regret would be that Sun Tester, that thing was a Jewel!! It's funny that Toaster was Identical to the one we grew up with!! My Mom got it as a wedding gift in 1953 and it was used almost everyday till we put her in Assisted Living in the late 1990's!! The Chrome or Stainless and Bakelite was perfect, I hated to do it but I just threw it in the Gabbige!! I didn't know people collected them!!☻
You are the opium of tool lovers and those who love yesteryear. And, for those of us who can’t help ourselves, you make us feel like we’re not alone. Keep up the good work!
Loved that vase, very nice. And the die filer was a great find! I knew the Sun Master motor tester was going to be the regret, that thing was awesome! Thanks for taking us along with you.
I would be okay with you doing complete episode of just you commentating your flea market adventures more often.. I really enjoy this content also.. never gets old..
My radar pinged when you scanned the Sum motor tester and I knew you also liked it and I picked it for the item your regretted.item. My regret is that I was not there to get it. The tools you bought were also terrific.
The wrench and brake holding tool are great. I've never seen either of them before. The glass ware is stunning, and the GF's mother is getting a beautiful gift. It's time you moved to a bigger place and one with a huge barn with it. Then you can collect to your hearts content :)
The pipe wrench is amazing! I saw the brake pedal tool in the box behind the filing machine and wondered what that was. Now I know! The sun machine was spectacular, but you would really have been hard pressed to fit it anywhere. Though that did not stop me from buying an HO scale model train set on a 4x8 plywood table at the community yard sales this past weekend! A whole train set for only 75 bucks! I could not pass it up. That is the definition of a bargain! Something we don't need at a price we can't resist!
I flipped out when I saw that Sun machine.. I guess that was probably the medium size, I've seen some larger ones and some much smaller.. I was looking for some traffic lights, but didn't see any.. So many tools, so little time.. Thx for taking us along.. Take care S.C.
The flea market in Michigan that I love to go to has nothing on the one you visit. I was amazed at the variety and quality of the items for sale. Thanks again ScoutCrafter for the great video.
I love the flea market videos. Wish I had one like that near me. Coincidentally, I was just looking at deviled egg dishes on amazon today as a gift for Mother's day. My wife noticed her's was cracked when she went to use it for Easter dinner. Great video. You got some nice buys ScoutCrater!
another great video....I'm always on the lookout for vintage tools at flea markets and estate sales.. got a Free Atlas table saw this week. .. cleaning up and fine tuning... lots of fun
The Sun tester is great and I love it! My fav though is the brake depressing tool. Thats true history and Im a car guy. It would make a great wall hanger mounted on a plaque!!!
When I was a kid my brother had two sun machines. One like the one you showed and a distributor machine. I never used them , to young. I loved the flea markets but stopped going because I don’t need anything. It’s hard just to walk around and not buy anything. Here in California we don’t have the quantity of merchandise you have back there. You had fun and it’s safe for me to watch. Thank You
Love these episodes Scoutcrafter, thanks for taking us along, only wish there were comparable shows in the UK. Didn't guess the application. Loved the glass ware, that devilled egg holder was stunning, in the UK that iredescent glass is known as carnival glass, as that was where it was given away as prizes. 👍👍👍👍🇺🇸🇬🇧✌️
When I was in high school, '85or '86 the auto shop had one of those sun testers in storage. One day the shop teacher was cleaning stuff out & he threw it in the trash. I still regret not asking for it. I thought it was cool back then & would have jumped at that for a $100. All of the tools you purchased are really cool, I have never seen any of them before.
Yeah the Sun Motor tester. Figured that was it. Never seen on that old or that large. Back then that was THE diagnostic machine. Shows you how much times have changed. That looked like a Frankenstein machine! Good price too! What a beauty!
A good visit as usual. Always a lot of interesting things. The rotary phones reminded me of a local flea market visit a few years ago. A youngster about 10 years old pointed to a rotary phone with a transparent cover so you could see the inner workings and said "Mom, what is that". It made me feel my age. I thought you would pick up one of the lanterns. Dave.
10:14 Not just Deviled Eggs, but try Pickled* Eggs. Put a Salt & Pepper Shaker in the middle of the tray. Hard Boiled Egg marinated in Beet Juice & Onions. The inside of the egg pretty much turns purple. They are so good! Om Nom Nom! 14:57 Could you use that as a Scroll Saw, for delicate scroll work?
At 2:45 there is a dummy bomb, and I knew you wanted one from the tool place here in Denver...but you didn't seem to check it out. It looks very similar to those here, but different paint. Anyway, always fun to see your flea markets. Wayne out West
I thought your regret would be passing up some of those cool lanterns or the die filer. I have never seen one before, or the rare wrench or auto brake device. I dont blame you one bit for missing out on the Sun tester. Even if it is completely inoperative it was a steal and would look great in a man cave. If I was single, I would put it in my living room. Its cosmetics are great. It would be fun to go to this flea market but I'm too far away. Your flea market trips are fun. You have a great eye for cool stuff.
I briefly saw a child's white stove! My aunts had one when they were little and my grandmother kept it. I wanted to play with it when I was about 5 years old and she plugged it in, and it worked! It really would get hot enough to cook a few things. And I did.
Hi Scout , I liked Quite A Bit of Things There. Room Room Room ! I know . I've learned to buy it if I've Got the Room and Money . Because You Will Regret Some Stuff.
I love flea markets and look forward to yours …..that gauge set was awesome, I know what you mean about the space, the devilled eggs glass ware is beautiful…..keep em coming I’m, having to watch your weeks old ones to catch up 😸😸🇬🇧
I'm like you, no room for stuff, especially a thing like that. It was awesome to see! We have one in our shop and I may try to talk the owner out of it! I really like that brake lever!
I picked it as soon as I saw it man what a setup fantastic There was some great stuff there I felt like I was there with you It was fantastic I love elephant trunk man one day I will get there You picked some great stuff scout amazing video god bless take care 🇺🇸🗽🙏🇳🇿🦅
Yeah that sun auto meter is gorgeous. I’d put it in my kitchen as well. Maybe next time!! And honestly my favorite item you picked up is the deviled egg glass server. That green is beautiful! I can eat 100 deviled eggs in one sitting no problem!! Love them
Rick- So far I am going... I know it is calling for rain but I made the mistake of not going twice because of rain threat and it didn't.. I already told my GF to dress accordingly! LOL PONCHO!
@@ScoutCrafter I love ponchos. I've still got the one from 1962 when I joined Boyscouts. The two that I brought back from the Army disintegrated. Hopefully, I'll see you there. Good Luck, Rick
Hi Scoutcrafter that jack would have been good if you were doing brake jobs you could depress the brakes while you released the bleeder screw on the caliper by yourself. Don't feel bad about the garage tester big things like that are always in the way and you regret bringing it home unless you are going to flip it for a profit.
Love the flea market videos. That Sun tester is awesome for 100 bucks. The brake depressor is a real piece of history. I used to live up near Peekskill and can imagine it being used back in the day.
I knew it would be either the motor tester or the eagle....the creepy doll's head came in a close 3rd. There were a lot of choices. That brake pedal jack is neat. Sure beats a concrete block!
Tony... I used to sneak in the kitchen when my Grandmother was cooking and I would see a plate with Deviled eggs and I would POP one in my mouth... No biting just POP... Smiling like a fat rat in a cheese factory... =D
I couldn't decide which you would pass up. I had filled a shopping cart in the first 5 minutes. The sun gauges are nice. The curse of no room is prevalent in all our lives. Those vintage porcelain Green/white lamp fixtures are out of control! Everybody likes them and the originals are big money. Good news they are making them again new... However I doubt they will last 50 years!
Very nice die grinder. That was the item I thought you would get. I thought the Master Tester was really slick. Would be great for someone who worked on older cars. But yes, takes up ton of real estate.
I also like the Sun tester. It brings back memories of auto shop in school. Me and my son also went to one of the bigger flea markets in the area last Saturday. Turned out kind of bad. It was trying to rain all day and the prices were very high. Three towns in the area do this two times a year. So we went to another one better pricing and older tools. Don't know why but I keep getting auto wrenchs. I only have one that's Ford so I had to get it. It was only a dollar. My son found 2 more at the same place but they weren't Ford so I talked myself out of them. I spent some days in the Hospital again so Iam not sure when I am going to do very much restoring for a while But we went slow and had fun. Stay safe and healthy my friend. Thanks
I guessed the Sun tester but I wouldn't have room for it either, however, I'm still regretting you not buying that vintage Christmas tree stand with the lights on it, that was cool
That old Lone Ranger book caught my eye!
That Lead Glass Vase is Absolutely Beautiful, GREAT FIND

I love the sound of that file machine. It’s like… therapeutic!

The sun tester would of been in back of my jeep so fast. love it. Reminded me when I worked in gas station. Keep flea markets coming.
The flea markets around me always have junk nobody wants. It's hard to even find something worth buying that looks like a great place

Absolutely love that British/German poster at 05:11. It’s fantastic.
Excellent taste Sarah!
Ugh! I was hoping you bought that tester. I’ve passed up gems before too. We only have so much room….
Troop 18- Fun hiking with the great ScoutCrafter teacher through the elephant's burial ground.
I worked at a gas station/repair garage as a teenager and we used Sun test equipment, always the best.
Flea markets are the BEST! KEEP THEM COMING!
That motor tester was amazing. I would have never been able to walk away without it.
I wouldn't have left that flea market without the Airship/Aeroplane identifying poster.
You have excellent taste!!!

Always really enjoy the market/tool show videos...what a variety of stuff . Fantastic 👍
The jeep grill was awesome. That is a cool filer for sure. Much was learned today.

We used to play Bluegrass Music with Roger Sprung at the Elephants Trunk..such a great time and Place.

We had that SUN motor tester in my dad's garage(TEXACO)in the 40's and50's.Don't know what became of it. Loved the bobsled. Allan

Some nice scores you picked up 👍 I liked the brake pedal jack the best. I can appreciate it's value being an old mechanic my self.
At the end of the 60's, when I learned the profession of a car and truck mechanic in a Mercedes workshop, we also had a SUN engine tester.
I briefly saw a child's white stove! My aunts had one when they were little and my grandmother kept it. I wanted to play with it when I was about 5 years old and she plugged it in, and it worked! It really would get hot enough to cook a few things. And I did.

At 2:41 cool old Supertest gas pump globe. Supertest gas stations were once very common across Canada.

That deviled egg platter was great bit too small for the egg eaters in my family. Need a couple more

The Flea market footage was a lot of fun. A little variety never hurts.
Everything was fantastic! If you don't have the room it is good to move on. The fact you could share the video is cool. The pipe wrench is awesome!
The filer is quite the score and that vase is lovely. Your girlfriend's mother will love that vase.
Ah that Lionel transformer in the box! 👍
