2012 Boss 302 on the Nurburgring

Having some fun on the Nurburgring with the AC on. At Adenau Forst you can hear me downshift to give the fans a little show and some drifting action...ooops on hitting the rev limiter but it was fun.

Tanner Foust was driving that truck. He was also driving a fiesta ST that day. He was really cool and talked to me for a few minutes before he had to leave for Munich because the XGames were that week.

It's hard to get a clean lap without any traffic holding you up. No traffic I could go sub 8 but with traffic the best I got was 8 minutes. With some stickier tires I could shave a few more seconds off...

Awesome!! I heard someone achieved a lap time of 7:38:35 with a 2012 Laguna Seca Boss 302 at the Nurburging! Thats nuts!! That's less than 1 second from the new Z/28's 7:37:47 I am thinking of getting a 12 boss! :D

Had the same issue in my 2013gt took years and many ford dealerships to find what was causing it. Long story short it was the wrong gear oil additive for the rear. Got to make sure you put the right stuff in.

Nothing like driving the Boss around a track. Drove mine a few times @ Mosport. Not nearly as long as the ring, but a lot of fun. Curious if you could comment on the whirring noise captured in the cabin during the video? Tires? Wheel bearing?

What an awesome car! Listen to that symphonic orgasm. Ford knows how to do exhaust. Between the GT350, GT350 R and this Boss 302. Ford stands alone for NA SMall
Blocks married to 6 speed manual trans. I do wish the Boss had the Tremec…. Then I would put it on par with rhe GT350. Either way, the Boss is one bad ass American sports car that out M3’s rhe M3 of its era. Well done Ford!
