Out of every single Syntac series, this has become my favorite hands down. Seeing him struggle and not be super OP as soon as he gets his first creature is so enjoyable. Im highly considering getting a server to play this mod on with my fiance. Keep 'em comin'!
yep I can feel something bad is going to happen to the base. Alot of people want you to stay in the cave but I kinda like you living outside, it reminds me of the old ark days, a safe fortress with spikes around. Just as long as the wall is the complete then I think its fine to move there.

Also, idk if this has been mentioned but the Archaeopteryx passively creates and stacks feathers in its inventory. You should look into picking a couple of those up. Thank you Syntac.
a good idea for the base walls would be placing stone fence foundations going around in a rectangle where the debris of the remaining walls are and then if you can, place large stone walls going on top of the fence foundations so it looks like you have fixed the walls and you can then place down a behemoth gate so you can get in.
I absolutly love this series Syn, keep up the amazing work and just an idea, but you could build your workshop, on the back wall, where the gate is your backdoor
i always build at the abandoned farm on the cliff tbh, if you do it right it's very well defended , it has veggies, it's close to a lot of resources - strategically my favorite spot in the highlands for sure.

I love how this mod makes normal worthless PVE items into something useful for example stimulant is normally worthless but with the stamina debuff speed its actually worth, crafting skill helps with skinning, ect and Grenades actually being useful for crowds
Yo Syn, until you get a carnivore, you should really level up and use your Morellatops. From my experience, when leveled they are pretty strong, kinda fast, and very sturdy👌 They are like low-key tanks with decent damage

Cave, you could get stuck, gangs of baddies, out of bullets. Here, you have choices-run past giga, allos, carnos, sabers, there are so many choices! 5 feeding troughs needed, large base.
Syntac, my dear drear ark hero...did you forget there is a canyon full of pillars that you could easily build to? You know the ones will all the metal nodes? You have a bridge over there that you could build on. Yes the journey is dangerous but I find the best and safest places are those in which you have a harder time reaching. Also there is a cliff overlooking the swamp near the canyon that is flat and there is only really one way up. It's near the rocky land that arches over the lands leading to the swamp. Gryphons usually spawn nearby or down below the place so you might want to try to make it over there if you can. Sometimes I also use cliff platforms to extend my reach around the pillar to give me more room to work.
Yeah move places, I build a mansion on that spot and next to the water well I build my farm, and were the crops are at back I put up a bunch of large stone walls and a behemoth gate
Make sure you check the description on the special hides! Some cand be used as substitute. Like Shagreen from spinosaurus can be used as organic polymer and Armored Plates from sarcos can sub for silica pearls
I think there is never enough building inside of caves though. You really should just expand out from your first base and slowly absorb the hillside. Incorporate the waterfall into your base!
With regards to logging in and something awful has spawned, I'd STRONGLY suggest putting something like S+ torches at strategic points around your base. As well as looking nice at night time, this will make sure there are no areas inside of the walls far enough from a structure to potentially spawn a nest and/or horde of dino's inside of your base. As for what might spawn outside of your walls...good luck. P.s - the hill at one of the corners of your base looked a little too close - you might want to build the wall higher there to stop large/jumping creatures from using the height of the hill to just go over your defenses.
I literally had a heart attack when I got a notification from youtube, I found out syntax uploaded on the hunted series and I watched immediately, not even done yet lol
Niiiiice! I had an old farm house/blacksmith shop in this spot back on this old RP server I played on The walls always bugged me as well, thankfully I was on an RP server so people can't attack or raid without reason so I just used the cool little half walls that don't snap in place
Wall looks wonderful with the ruins, but pillar up between walls. Nothing capable of climbing over that wall, like a giga or allos, can fit through the 1 wall gap between pillars. And hatching up / breeding "guard pachy" to stay in the walls could work too.
In a pure case of "I built my base there too!" *A few episodes ago* "Moving to this cave!" Me: why didn't I think of that? I love cave living and my base is so close and easy to move there. *this episode* "I wanna move here now!" Me: That's where I put my base! Trade places? XD
You probably don’t read these but you’ve got a old village vibe going. Have a farm on one side a forge/crafting area stables and a house. Could be pretty cool during this series

When you have so many dodos, basic kibble will be a thing very quickly done. Should help tame basic babies such as Jerboas
