I feel like giants don't typically work in dragon ball because they're just big, bulky, and with uninteresting moves. If they want a giant to actually be fun, it needs to do weird shit. Like, Janemba is a cool big enemy because of his crazy moveset and portals. They need something with weird movements or moves, like the big thing Roxas fights at the start of KH2.
Gonna be honest, Hearts has the right idea. Zeno doesn't care about anyone, he feels no sympathy when he erases entire universes from existence. And he could do this to any universe, for the dumbest of reasons. A toddler is not fit to run the multiverse, Hearts did nothing wrong.

Omni King is not only a terrifying, but a baffling addition to Dragon Ball canon. Every other threat, no matter how great, has always had a ceiling. It might've been a really high ceiling, but it was there, and no matter how hard you have to squint, you can see it. And that's been needed, because the purpose of Goku as a character has been to reach and then bust through that ceiling. Even Beerus and Wis, you can imagine a version of Goku one day who is at least on equal footing with either of them. But Omni King has no such Ceiling. I guess that's the point, he's not a character who can be defeated so you have to learn to work with him instead, something that is novel in many ways for our heroes. BUT, that implies that we aren't supposed to want to see him defeated, and that's what I don't understand. How can the crimes of the likes of Freeza, Cell, or Buu even begin to compare to the blood on the Omni King's hands? There is a good argument to be made that, whether he's generally pretty benign or not, whether he might get better or not, he shouldn't be allowed to exist, as nothing should have that much power without anything in place to check it. It's the same problem I had with Beerus and Wis, but then it becomes clear that they really aren't villains, and, either way, there are systems in place to balance them. They are also mature enough to see reason, and, most importantly, they aren't literally invincible as the Omni King is portrayed to be. This is all not to mention the fact that having the existence of Omni King hanging over the story going forward makes the whole thing seem pointless, since it doesn't matter how many villains you kill or friends you save if some guy can decide he wants to erase your entire universe just because someone annoyed him, or he wants to look at a light show, or something. It makes anything that the characters do seem empty.
4:53 I think Giant Piccolo Jr. also was a good giant foe since it created some interesting advantages and disadvantages for Piccolo, especially in regards to that whole thing where Goku was able to save Kami BECAUSE Piccolo Jr. became gigantic.
I don't really comment that much, but Hearts is honestly one of my favorite dragon ball antagonists of all time, and the manga very much helps with his characterization. Though, some of this may just me having too much time to speculate on why characters do the things they do. This'll also be very scatterbrained Hearts is actually very similar to Zamasu, he is self-righteous and arrogant. His actions are hypocritical to his motivation, but at the end of it, his motivation is fueled by a genuine love for humanity and not a lie to mask his own ego-filled desires like Zamasu. In the manga, Hearts straight up cries at the idea of humans being wiped out by the gods on a whim, that their simple desires could disappear at the drop of a hat. That sorrow pushed him far enough to believe that killing some mortals would be okay if it meant saving the others from the wrath of the gods, and he's been on this path so long that he accepts and welcomes the hypocrisy of his actions. Which is why Zamasu is possibly the perfect comparison, Hearts is literally the inverse. He loves humanity and hates the gods, and the same idea fuels his hypocrisy rather than Zamasu's fuel being his own ego of himself being the "one true god." This love for humanity is also why he smiles upon his death, he sees that the very mortals he loves found the strength to resist his desire to "save" them. He can give nothing but respect and accept that humanity doesn't need to be saved by him, it is only more proof of why he finds them so endearing. I could probably ramble on more, but I think two paragraphs is already too long for a youtube comment. Hearts is just a really awesome character to me, at least the version I've conjured in my head.
I think me and scott made the same realization at the same time. he said "hold on" and I listened to the clip and thought "that sounds familiar". listened to the clip he chose one more time "muda da". yeah thats real familiar
I love you guys so much for doing this, please commit to going forward with it as it comes out, maybe in bursts for Lani's mental well being to have a chance to recover.
Om the whole meteor part: It's a reference to a mechanic in the actual arcade game. Specifically the "God Meteor" character card action that a lot of characters can do in the game. It's best to remember that this is a promotional anime, so a lot of the stuff that happens expects most viewers to already be aware and play the game. The meteor is more of a fun easter egg/nod than supposing to be logically a threat.
"Zamasu becomes a tiny atom and attacks goku in his art like a disease." ...So the heart disease that killed Goku was.. ACTUAL ZAMASU using the Quantum realm to go back in time to be the heart virus! A FULL CIRCLE! Time travel happens due to Zamasu going back in time wich in turn makes mortals go back in time!....Yea Im over conflating this.
Personally, if I was going to make a DBZ Kaiju and have it not be boring, I'd do energy claws. But make it seem like energy claws was all it was doing as they dodge or it uses them to create a defensive barrier against attacks. Only for someone to notice that the "slashes" aren't just fading away and then draw them all on top of someone "Hellzone Grenade" style. And have that be your Kaiju, he's faster than he seems, his slashes linger, and then it can control these slashes to chase enemies.
21:49 oh no Bootleg “Land of the Lustrous” character Laags gets taken out by Cooler that’s lame. Btw I recently watched Land of the Lustrous and it’s amazing.
From what I’ve learned, essentially Dragon Ball Heroes is a universe where Goku and friends fight some random guy and it looks like they won’t win and Jiren says “this is truly a tough battle” but then in the final moments you hear “Jaja, Eres débil” and from the top of the ring comes El Hermano de Jiren!
I said this before but the manga takes this to more interesting places. The finale, instead of just a Hit-Jiren-Gogeta combined blast, involves a pretty tense sequence of Hit distracting God Hater Hearts while Jiren uses his full power aura to cancel out the gravity so Goku and Vegeta can fuse, and then Gogeta Blue does the fight proper. Also, don't worry, Scott, Hearts will be back.
12:02- essentially the bishonen line in which the enemy becomes increasingly ugly till they reach their most streamlined, humanoid, and powerful form- though in the case of Buu- it’s a very convoluted mess and Moro/Gas go out of their way to defy it with the living planet and old man forms respectively plus the abstract nature of Zamasu. Hearts seems more like what Dragon Ball OCs think is the series’ standards with increasingly gaudy and complex forms that do not function well in fluid combat
I hope they also check out the Super Dragon Ball Heroes manga because while the premise, it has a lot more elaboration to it and things flow better in comparison to the OVAs. It also has really good art as well, showing some really cool scenes.
Well, we've covered everything I've seen. I know we see SSG Xeno Trunks, with his goofy hair, but that's all I know about. Everything's blind from here.
I do think kaiju action worked well in Super Hero with Cell Max, mainly because you had people who were previously enemies work together to defeat him, everyone had a chance to shine (especially Gamma 2 with his amazing sacrifice) and he had an obvious weak point that they were gunning for like with Great Ape Vegeta. But it definitely misses more than it hits due to giant Lord Slug, Hirudegarn and Anilaza’s fights being generally boring, and now giant Kamioren is yet another addition to the slop pile.
On the off chance you see this. Lags in the manga is actually shown to be absorbed by majin ozzoto (a being who was in the prison planet manga version and will become a bigger plot point later) on universe 3. I don’t think it’s outright said, but it is implied zamasu is the normal one saved by fu, and that the cybernetics prevent him from going corrupted. Again, that part is implied and is speculation, but still some potential context
So did everyone at TFS collectively gaslight themselves into believing that the guy’s name is “Zamas” in the official translation and not “Zamasu.” They were so sure it would localized as Zamas in advance with the Beerus short and got egg on their face when the dub premiered those episodes.
If the concepts here ever become canon, hear me out. What if we replace Hearts with the Future Trunks from the new timeline? Anti-Zamasu? Chosen "Hero"? Good news is I'm pretty sure Heroes has ended after the latest arc (and seemingly ran out of budget).
Okay, but hear me out. Hearts taking out Zamasu is the origin of the heart virus that kills Goku. He just had a time ring in the cube dimension but couldn't restore his size.
I'm confused why their so worried about Goku using UI. Also, UI isn't invincible. Not only did Black Frezza oneshot it, but even Jerin was able to over power full UI during the ToP and hit Goku.
Zamasu came back because of fu, fu fucked with the timeline and did a thing so there's a split timeline where not only did he survive but he didn't defuse. The versions of the characters we see on the super side are stronger versions that came after top
Im honeslty suprised a villain like Heart's was used in this anime, cause he feels like someone who would fit perfectly in Super. Hes plan while brutal makes sense cause how are you supose to deal with someone who can delete universes once he notices them? Heart's going around blowing universes to try and stack more power makes sense and it suprises me he only got the assholes, when he could have picked up any stragglers or survivors before those universes blew up. Hell he could have been training a bunch of people, power them up, destroying universes to gain more power, betray the people he saved/recruit to get their power, all to have a chance to try and either Seal or Kill the Omniking. Now granted, I get the point of the Omniking is a joke charatcer and A Force that you need to reason with, that has the mentality of a kid... but everyone being fine with it is really concerning.
4:55 hirudegarn(goku taking the win from trunks with a cool potential asspull aside),cell max & great ape especially were great ways to do kaiju in db compared to this existing just to waste ultra instinct to a transformation when it isn't but do like hearts(does resemble how mostly bad outside the akatsuki naruto's villains look in that final form) absolutely crushing zamasu to atom's & while horribly handled here hearts motivation would be cool to see in canon as the omni-king(especially 2 of them) really shouldn't be in charge with how the great priest runs things in his spot.

Well, we've covered everything I've seen. I know we see SSG Xeno Trunks, with his goofy hair, but that's all I know about. Everything's blind from here.
23:20 did Zamasu get brought back when goku wishes all the universes back at the end of super?
3:08 what they did to there plot armor guys lol
1:51 youtube short gold is having all the excitement from the end of the last part and cut to this
XD
Jiren vs Heart...so DIO vs DIO?
Making that first second of the video my wallpaper.
The editor was having fun today
5:50 I'm a firin my laser!
I did enjoy Hearts in Heroes, one reason being the voice actor. The other because of how cool his attacks looked
I hope this has inspires a fanfic where infinite Zamasu is somehow the heart virus from the Android Saga.
For the next ad you can use "thats on them, even though they've already been on you😉" lmao
Watch out Lani! Zamasu spiked your drink after getting shrunk down!
#1 Heroes anime TFS enjoyed here
At least Dio sounded like he was having fun
So did everyone at TFS collectively gaslight themselves into believing that the guy’s name is “Zamas” in the official translation and not “Zamasu.”
They were so sure it would localized as Zamas in advance with the Beerus short and got egg on their face when the dub premiered those episodes.
5:35 those low budget ki blast
Heroes hit its peak in the last few episodes. Now it’s all down hill from here like Yamcha.
I don't know what this Yamcha is, but he sounds disappointing.
Ironically it gets better for Yamcha
Stuck Zamasu in the Daikokuten next to Naruto and Hinata
Lani's water bottle is burned into my retina.
That opening…Way to know your audience 🥵🤤
Yeah, as much as I LOVE Kamin/Oren and their Fusion that Giant form is absolute ass
Golden Hearts is equally terrible
9:08 I wouldn't be suprised if that was Fuu just waisting Hit's time.
In terms of ideology, Heartz is the Aizen of Naruto
so zamasu got shrinking in to the antman world went past in time gave goku a heart disease and then got killed by bulmas medicine
Kaiju talk makes me wonder kaisers thoughts on Kaiju 8 lol
vegeta's technique always works on the movies at least
23:14 just have niles do it
4:55 hirudegarn(goku taking the win from trunks with a cool potential asspull aside),cell max & great ape especially were great ways to do kaiju in db compared to this existing just to waste ultra instinct to a transformation when it isn't but do like hearts(does resemble how mostly bad outside the akatsuki naruto's villains look in that final form) absolutely crushing zamasu to atom's & while horribly handled here hearts motivation would be cool to see in canon as the omni-king(especially 2 of them) really shouldn't be in charge with how the great priest runs things in his spot.
